Sun Jan 25 2009As purely escapist fare, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, can scarcely be topped. Terence Stamp was excellent as the haggered old queen embarking on her last adventure; Guy Pearce and Hugo Weaving were MAAHVELOUS, my dear!!! This bit of froth deserves to be in your private collection if only to bail you out of your occasional blahs.

Sun Mar 30 2008The ping-pong ball scene was....Incredible. Enough reason alone to watch the movie!

Mon Nov 15 2004This has become a cult but, for me, I can't quite see why. Guy Pearce is excellent; Terence Stamp, well, he appears either whimsical or half-sloshed to have taken part.

Thu Jul 29 2004It is a great movie, completely over the top but just so damn enjoyable and entertaining. Isn't that all that matters?

Sun Apr 04 2004Besides the fact the Hugo Weaving is one of my all-time favorite actors, I loved the mix of glam and reality. The characters had a earthy, real quality to them that you don't usually associate with Queens, but all the while they maintained a certain...ladylike manner. It was spectacular.

Wed Oct 01 2003Bumpy in spots but the acting is pretty good. Especially Terrance Stamp as the aging drag queen looking for love. I don't care for drag queens usually but this groups is likable and funny.
