Vivian Eisenstadt is, hands down, the best physical therapist I've been to in the L.A. area. I arrived at her office weak and in pain, and now four months later, feel much stronger and more confident in my body and self. She combines her vast knowledge of human musculoskeletal function with specifically tailored, pilates-based training to effect the changes needed to improve an ailing physique. She also addresses the more psychological aspects of healing as part of her treatment. She can refer you to a host of practitioners in other areas of the healing arts for whatever your specific needs may be as well. And she's a great person to boot. If you need a physical therapist, Vivian Eisenstadt is your girl!

I had leg and feet pain for months til I saw a podiatrist who recommended Vivian. Within 3 treatments (i.e., a week and a half) in conjunction with exercises she recommended I did at home, I was pain free. I was truly impressed given that I have been to other physical therapists several years ago for another problem which required 10 treatments and only helped a little. Vivian is very knowledgeable, physically strong, and is passionate about helping her clients get better and stay better.

If you have any kind of physical pain and want to get better, there is no way around for you but to go and see Vivian! She's an amazing PT and knows what she's doing! If only all PTs were like her! The insurance companies were a lot happier because she gets the job done quickly! I've been to my fair share of PTs. I've played sports all my life and let me tell you that I haven't been to a better place than PTPT. First of all, it's not your typical physical therapy place. It's not 'cold' like a usual doctor's or PT's offices. You feel right at home as soon as you walk into the door. Most likely, you'll be greeted by two little dogs. Lady and Lucky. Lucky can be a bit moody at times but once you got to know him, he's your best buddy! Secondly, get ready to get to work right off the bat! There's no fooling around and wasting time in that office, which I really appreciate! Even if you insurance is not accepted there, your money will be well spent!

I went in looking for a massage, but what I really got was a lot of expert knowledge and a plan for a pain free existence. Sure, I got my massage, but I also learned how to stand up straight (who knew that was something I had to learn!), excercise properly using the actual muscles the excercise was meant to work out, and that a life without pain was a real possiblity. I was not sure what to expect when I first walked in, but I can tell you that I am very happy that I did. It has truly changed my life.

After holding off on seeking out overdue help for my back aches from my previous years as a tennis player, I sought out PTPT in hopes of starting my path towards a pain-free back. Instead I achieved a stunning and immediate recovery that literary felt as though I had received a new spine from God, or Vivian as I would have had it. She truly puts her body, mind, soul, and WIT to work as she sets you anew with an intact body and a reformed mindset to ensure a life of health and pain-free mobility. For anyone looking for a physical therapist with effective results, seriously....Seriously.....Look No Further.

I went to PTPT seeking help for an unbelievably painful shoulder. I experienced an injury to my shoulder from playing tennis. Before visiting PTPT, I visited multiple other doctors for help. None of them worked...not even slightly. However, once I began PTPT, I instantly noticed improvement on my healing. Since I started PTPT a rough three months ago, my shoulder has recovered about 70%, possibly even more. While I used to have difficulty using my shoulder and arm when dealin with the most simple tasks, I am now able to use my shoulder without much worry. I would recommend anyone with an injury or chronic pain to visit PTPT, because it has proven to be remarkably effective.

Having been to other physical therapists,(for similar problems) I have to say this is somewhat beyond physical therapy. As opposed to simply being adjusted or massaged and receiving exercises which are straight out of the standard physical therapy playbook (which has been my experience in the past), Vivian has provided me with an approach that addresses pain and it's sources in a more holistic way. She has dealt with the back and neck pain I've experienced as something symptomatic and treatable in many different ways (adjustment and massage being only a few). She has helped me to reassess how I have treated my body over my lifetime, as well as how little I have understood it up til now. I am being retrained in where I focus my energies in my posture and this alone has been a revelation. It has been a lot of work, but well worth the effort and the results speak for themselves. I can't believe how much better I've been feeling and how improved my posture has become since I started this p... Read more

I do not know where to begin about the therapy treatment I received from Vivian and her staff. Everyone on her staff melt together like they have been knowing each other since birth. The treatment I received made me feel as though I should have been here ten years ago when I first injured myself while working. I feel the treatment I received would have saved the worker's compnsation some money by me not having the surgeries I did have. The idea of learning that to walk correctly by holding the stomach muscles, tightening up the buttocks and walking with the alignment of my sholders made the pain go away. The exercise in pilates and stretching every part of my muscles made a difference in the level of my pain decreasing. The massages were great also, more manipulations then I have ever received from any physical therapist just great in my recovery from pain. I needed a whole month with this group but five days told me a lot about myself and how I could reduce the pain with me. I b... Read more

I am so happy to have found Vivian at PTPT. I am a former college athlete and I used to just work through the pain and live with it. I had an injury to my Planter Facia over 2 years ago and all I did was mask the PAIN with anti-inflammatory meds. (Vioxx, Bextra, Celebrex, etc...)I never concerned myself with identifying what was causing the pain. Vivian has done an amazing job of helping me with my injury. She has taught me exercises to do for my foot when I am at home, and she has truly gotten to the root cause of my injury. If you have had an injury and you have been putting off getting treatment, don't wait any longer. Vivian is an AMAZING "healer". I have never written a review for any of these type of sites, however, in this case I felt like I owed it to others out there that may be suffering like I was. Go see Vivian and tell her that Mark sent you .....

I had a great experience with PTPT, it's a super relaxed, open atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. I'd never been to physical therapy before and was pretty nervous about it, but I was diagnosed with patello femoral syndrome and referred to a random HMO therapist. I decided to see Vivian instead, having found her through research of my own. She worked very quickly on my leg and then adjusted my spine and back, as well...wasn't expecting that, as I've never had any chiropractic-type work done either. Well, here I am almost a week later, and my knee doesn't hurt, I can walk, I can kneel, and I can stand up from sitting on the floor without using my hands to push myself up. Haven't done that move since Pilates class. Happy side benefit is my back isn't hurting anymore...whatever she did fixed years of working at computers and the two or three times I've been rear-ended on the freeway. Thanks Vivian, I'll be back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

After months of putting off treatment and enduring pain, I finally made my first appointment with Vivian. I am now mad at myself for not making it sooner! The reason for the visit was a pain in my shoulder as well as tingling down my arm due to years of abuse in the gym. I went through a series of treatments that included hands-on adjustment as well as various machines. Believe it or not, I felt incredible.....even pampered! Vivian coached me on proper breathing techniques for my workout as well as providing exercises for increasing strength in my core muscles. Even more important than all that was Vivian's charming personality, as well as her ability to make you relax and smile. I truly felt like a million bucks when I left. I look forward to my next appointment and I would highly recommend her services to anyone needing relief from pain (and needing a smile on their face too!).

I came to Vivian after tearing my hamstring and not wanting to enter the slow Kaiser system. I was afraid I wouldnt play softball again, walk or get back to my normal activities. Not only did Vivian diagnose specifically what my injury was, but within 2 treatments/2 weeks with a good home program I was back on the ball field (yes- she did tell me I did it too soon, but I used a pinch runner) and am able to use my leg for working and daily activities. A possible nightmare was turned into a safe place to recover with guidance, ease and satisfied results. I'd recommend her to anyone and if your insurance doesnt cover her - see her anyway - she is worth the time.

Vivian truly amazes me in how she is able to quickly locate the source of pain, determine the cause and develop a treatment plan that works! Not only does she provide treatment and relief from the pain, but she takes the time to teach you why your body is responding that way and what you can/should do in your daily routines to help prevent future pain. There is a passion about what she does which is a benefit to us all! She even took me on a Sunday morning and rescued my weekend...thanks again Vivian!

For 20 years I had shoulder and neck pain that ruled my life. In just 1-3 short sessions with Vivian and her staff at PTPT, I can easily say I feel better then I thought was possible. The way Vivian approaches the body is from a complete, knowledgable professional as well as personable honest approach. I have recommended her to all of my celebrity socialites, co-workers, friends and family as I recommend PTPT to you. My knee, ankle and attitude are fine tuned to take on the world now. Dont hesitate to come to PTPT. Also, the environment is very holistic, spiritual and relaxing.

I am really encouraged to say that I went in there with some major pain in my right elbow/forearm area, and since then I have felt like a brand new person. My pain has existed on and off for about seven years, and for the first time I feel confident with the treatment and direction I've been given. In one visit alone, I left with a plethora of insight that is allowing my health to be what it is meant to be. Vivian is real and gets to the root of your issue immediately. Thank goodness the health world has her so that we can truly experience what it means to be pain free!!

?I am 41 years old and just recently had a baby. I went to Vivian to help me through my pregnancy and ?help? became an understatement! She kept my body and spine in alignment and helped me avoid a lot of the common symptoms associated with pregnancy such as lower back pain, nausea, fatigue and postural issues. Whatever symptom I would experience, she was able to alleviate with adjustments, nutritional guidance, core strengthening exercises and other therapies at her fingertips. She made a remarkable difference in my experience of being pregnant and I encourage any woman to seek her assistance during this time. Thank you, Vivian, for changing the way I lived through my pregnancy!? -Karen Abrams

I am 27 years old and before seeing Vivian I was on my way to using a cane by the age of 50. It's been seven years since my ACL surgery and I was never really able to get back to being normal in sports or even daily living such as walking downstairs normally. I reinjured my knee a year ago to the point that my doctor told me I can no longer run and jump ever again. My doctor's explanation was that certain people don't recover normally. And the doctors that I have seen are well known orthopedic surgeons who have worked on olympic athletes and have won national awards. I have seen a few physical therapists, all with good reputations, but physical therapy was always frustrating because I was never able to make any real progress. And only in my first visit with Vivian she was able to immediately spot fundamental problems which were acting barriers in my rehabilitation. None of which all my previous doctors or physical therapists were able to spot. Only if I had found out about cit... Read more

Three weeks after going back to work full-time while also breastfeeding a 20-pound baby, my shoulders and neck were completely locked up. I get regular chiropractic adjustments, but was still in pain. Vivian got me down on the ground and WORKED it out! I felt a little better immediately, and by the next day the pain was gone. She rocks.

Vivian is one of the best physical therapists around. I worked for her as a massage therapist and many of the clients would tell me how they had physical therapy before coming to PTPT and it hadn't done anything for them. But since working with Vivian they were finally healing. I myself became a client after a car accident in 2004, and having Vivian as my therapist really helped me get better quickly. She's passionate about her work and I highly recommend her.

Vivian is the only person that has really taught me how to hold my body to prevent pain. She's an incredible physical therapist with an amazing breadth of knowlege about the body, mind AND spirit. She truly connects to her patients as a whole and approaches healing and pain as such. The only problem with visiting Vivian is that you'll like her so much you'll want to go back even if you're healed! If Vivian can't fix you, nobody can!!!

I can breath better and walk better. Please, we all need more love and self-care.....give yourself the gift of a session with Vivian.

40+ years of sports from falling on skateboards, years of rugby and rock climbing in the Himalayas have left my wrist's and hands in pain, not to mention the 5 hours a day on the computer for the last 10 years. After one session with Vivian my pain was 75 percent relieved and i was on my way to some long-term relief. Vivian's great energy, attitude and knowledge are incomparable. Also her facility is inviting, high tech when needed and back to basics when those techniques work best. Thank you Vivian, I look forward to working with you keeping me pain free and my athletic career intact for the next 40 years!

PTPT IS THE PLACE TO GO FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY! VIVIAN IS AN AMAZING THERAPIST AND SHE KNOWS THE BODY VERY WELL. A PLUS IS THAT SHE IS INCREDIBLY INSIGHTFUL AND IS NOT AFRAID TO SHARE HER INSIGHTS AS THEY RELATE TO ONE'S CONDITION. I CAME TO PTPT AFTER A SERIOUS AUTO ACCIDENT AND COULD NOT WALK VERY WELL AND WAS IN PAIN. I WAS CONSISTENT WITH MY THERAPY AND WITHIN A FEW SHORT WEEKS I BEGAN TO NOTICE HOW MUCH BETTER I WAS FEELING AND WALKING. AFTER 3 MONTHS OF SERIOUS THERAPY, I WAS CLOSE TO BEING BACK TO HOW MY BODY WAS BEFORE THE ACCIDENT. HER OFFICE MANAGER, MARVIN, IS FANTASTIC! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PTPT TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS PHYSICAL THERAPY. YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU CHOSE THIS EXCEPTIONAL PHYSICAL THERAPY PLACE OF HEALING.

When I came to PTPT over 4 years ago I was suffering from bad knees. Vivian teaches you how to do the basics of living, including walking, standing and sitting in a way that enforces wellness and balance. Her ability to know exactly what angle is off has helped me with both knees, my back, neck and shoulders. I not only feel better physically, but mentally I feel more focused and empowered with everything I do and I can stay active. The detox foot baths make me feel lighter and the whole body vibration tightens my body where age decided to loosen it. The massage therapists listen to what I need and know exactly how to fix whats ailing me. My husband now comes to PTPT when he needs treatment and my friends who noticed the change in me now get treated here as well. If you want to find the latest technology in body care, look no further then PTPT.

When it comes to physical therapists some might call me an expert. I am a 24 years old former football player and in the last six years I have had four shoulder surgeries; the most recent of which was a partial replacement which will require PT roughly three times a week for the next year to a year and a half. Based on this time frame I was looking for not just a therapist, but a partner in recovery. Someone that was as committed to me reaching my goals as I was, and was willing to stand by my side through a long and rigorous recovery. After going to four different clinics I finally found exactly what I was looking for at PTPT. Vivian, the owner and my physical therapist, had the right kind of though love, determination and marvelous demeanor that not only made the therapy bearable but actually made it fun. I no longer find my self in the rhythmic grind of Dr.'s and therapists past. Instead I look forward to going to my appointments because I am not only going to be worked on ... Read more

Before I found Vivian I tried everything to get rid of my sciatic pain. Nothing helped me for about 6 months, but after just a few weeks with PTPT I finally could run and feel relief from my pain. I couldn't believe it! Although she "fixed" me I still refuse to leave her because of the effect she has on me. I feel stronger, healthier, and more in charge of my body than ever before. There is so little we know about our bodies, and it is so easy to change it thanks to Vivian. I cannot rave about this woman enough! I was ready to have an injection into my spine to fix this horrific, annoying pain i had suffered with for 9 months. I had seen another physical therapist for 2 months and nothing was working. A doctor recommended I see Vivian at PTPT and so i tried her out. After my first visit, I was 90% better. The burning down my leg was almost completely gone. After my second visit, the pain was completely gone. She knows exactly where to focus on and picked up on things with my body that no one else has. Her clinic encompasses not only physical therapy and chiropractic, but pilates and massage therapy. She is truly a life saver!

Vivian is a lifesaver! Her meticulous attention to detail is the key to quick recovery, proper healing and developing the right muscles. Her belief in skeletal and muscular alignment and her amazing adjustments make her a one stop shop! As a high level athlete with 2 foot surgeries and a shoulder surgery she was able to put my body back in place and get me to running better, faster and more efficiently in a few weeks after seeing her. I am currently using her as my "Secret Weapon" to help me train for the 2008 olympic trials in the marathon. Additonally, PTPT has modalities such as whole body vibration, detoxing purifiers, and products/supplements that are helping me to be one step ahead where every second counts. Thank you Vivian, for helping me to make my dreams come true!

I came to Prevent the Pain as I was done with Chiropractors bleeding me for insurance and co-payments. I was initially skeptical, and cautious. After my initial consult, I was hooked ! Vivian looked me over, and knew exactly what I needed. My posture sucked, I walked wrong, the chronic pain in my back was a result of this, and until I KNEW what the problem was, there was no way to realize that I could truly be pain-free. After a few sessions, I felt 1000% better. She enabled me to be more in-tune with my body, and to know what to do and not to do. I am very graetful that she helped me with finding out the cause of my discomfort and pain, and treated that, instead of trying to fit me into a cookie-cutter program that helped pad her pocket book, and didn't really help me at all. She cares, and will help you! On a scale of 1 to 10, Prevent the Pain is a 20! I'm a new person since I saw her, and can't thank her enough!

Vivian is a compassionate, tell it like it is, woman who gives so much more than her PT skills. She has made me aware of not just the physical but the emotional habits that are causing my pain. Vivian & Staff of PTPT are truly amazing! I injured my knee six years ago and have been living with the pain until Vivian! I was told by every doctor to take an aspirin & go back to work...I really thought this was as good as it was going to get. Luckily I was referred to PTPT two months ago. Already I have noticed HUGE improvements in what my knee can do! I have no swelling in my knee for the first time in six years!!! This is not just physical therapy...it is a wellness center. There are so many components that are available to promote healthy & balanced living...Turbo Sonic, Isogenix (I've lost 12 pounds), Liquid Vitamins, Massage Therapy & Toxin Reducing Foot Baths, just to name a few. Vivian is a dynamo who is committed to inspiring you to get & stay healthy. The whole staff is wonderful...Martin is remarkable at making therapy fit my busy schedule. Vivian is very intense and very effective. Every other PT place I have used was like kindergarden compared to PTP. Vivian uses a very personal approach to her treatment and is highly specific about what needs to be done in and out of her office as far as exercises and follow-up. I was referred to Vivian Eisenstadt and Prevent The Pain Therapy after a car accident. I was a bit skeptical because I had been treated by other physical therapists and chiropractors before and was still in pain. They were always just treating the same spot in my neck. With Vivian, it's a total body experience. She is very smart and intuitive and understands the body very well and knows that you have to take an integrative approach to healing and treat the whole body. She was able to isolate a connective point in my neck/shoulder area that no one else had and treat that. I have already recommended her to friends and would feel comfortable referring her to anyone. And I love the total vibration machine! Cynthia Land

?After 15 minutes of Vivian's deep tissue work I walked away a different person. The deep seated injury and pain in my hips, knees and ankles, from 20 years of professional clasical ballet and Broadway Dance, were released instantly. Furthermore, the night of my first treatment brought me a somatic experience in spirit and mind; old patterns and feelings of remorse were replaced with an incredible new vitality and positivity. I literally felt white light and hapiness searing through my being; the results of her treatments were nothing short of a miracle. Vivian understands the body intrinsically and her work opens the path to complete and absolute healing. I believe her work prepares the body to release its most magical attribute - that is, to heal itself." Liam Burke

Three doctors, two physical therapists and one acupuncturist later and my condition was only getting worse. I had been suffering for over two and half years with a condition that started out as ilio-tibial band syndrome and then proliferated into bursitis in my hip, sciatica and hip piriformis syndrome. My quality of life was in the gutter. I would pray that I could get through a day of work without the pain escalating to the point that I would have to leave, which happened regularly. Driving was very painful and living in Los Angeles that limited me a great deal. I grew isolated because my condition prevented me from going to family functions that were far away, prevented me from going out to dinner and the movies with family and friends and prevented me from fully living my life. That was my life before I met Vivian Eisenstadt. Within five minutes after meeting me Vivian diagnosed me with a severe hip rotation. She did some adjustments for me and within a week, yes one week, I was ba... Read more

She is determined to get you healthy. Her goal is not to just fix the pain, but find out the cause and teach you how to incorporate the things she shows you, into your everyday life. You don't feel like time and $$ are her priority.. she takes her time and has the patience to get you healthy again. Thanks PTPT :0 )

Vivian has the personality and experience to make you want to recover. A pleasure to be treated and the results were amazing. I would happily recommend PTP to anyone. Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the treatment rooms and if you're a dog lover, there's another plus! Don't just take my word for it. Have an accident! Pay her a visit!

Vivian Eisenstadt, owner of Prevent the Pain, is a truly gifted practioner. She has an intuitive sense of just where the problem lies and is highly creative in her approach to healing, as well as willing to go the extra mile to make sure her clients improve. I received excellent treatment for a chronic lower back problem I've had and I have greatly improved under her care.

I had the privilege of getting physical therapy and massage from the owner, Vivian, and not only my neck pain was eventually gone, she converted me into a physical execise fanatic (well, I do my exercises regularly now!). It seems that she knows a few secrets to good physical health and I'd defintely would go to her again and again, if not for pain therapy, just for any old physical therapy. She is so good! Too bad I can only do it when visitng . Pavel Butorin Sunnyside, New York

Vivianne gave me my body back. I had a complete knee replacement two years ago, and had a large knot on the back of my thigh. I went to her for a back problem and she explained to be I was not using my knee at all, which is why my back was overworking, worked the knot out with her hands and showed me exercises I was never given to help my leg fully recover. She is a healer.
