Hardly overrated considering some of the hyperbolic dreck I've heard said about him during and after his Presidency. Perhaps not the most competent of world leaders, but he was still a two-term President of the United States, and so to call him 'retarded', 'barely literate', 'an ape', etc... is clearly complete and utter disrespectful nonsense.

Bush is a dyslexic asshole. Whole administration is as corrupted as he is. Such a crybaby during his first election that we had to recount. Bush does not know how to lose gracefully like others.

George Bush is the worst thing that happened to the US since Richard Nixon. But a least John lennon tried to do something about Vietnam. Its the same with Afganastan and Iraq. Do me a favor, and Dump Bush.

TriSec, if bush stole the election, they would've taken him out of office. Anyway, bush is pretty good. He'd do a better job than kerry.

When some folks finally get their nose out of the bible and start thinking for themselves, they will realize just how bad and dangerous for the US and the world him and his cronies are. There are probably many secrets about him people will never find out...IE his real motivations.

I love how so many people feel that saying considering he didn't even win the election... is an appropriate way of answering this topic. Anyway, if anything, President Bush is underrated. Despite his excellent way of handeling even the most complex of situations-he's still called stupid (yet smart enough to steal an election, create fake motives to go to war and whatever else the DNC can come up with).

On his recent meeting with Putin in Europe Bush said: 'Democracies have certain things in common-a rule of law and protection of minorities, a free press and a viable opposition' Hinting about the Ukraine he said: it would not be democratic to meddle in and try to alter the voting system of other countries. Who said American presidents don't do irony?

First off he didn't win the 2000 election. It was stolen. Second he barely won in 2004. Third, he's not a respected man worldwide. ... If he was adored around the world, then why would he be an overrated president?

George Bush is probably one of the most underated presidents by the liberal media and those who despise him (but not by his 60 million supporters). Many are simply blinded by their pure hatred of the man- or foolishly suckered into believing the media bias. Now let me get this straight, other than the forged document scandal I don't believe there was a organized conspiracy to demonize President Bush in the press, the bias is more tacit and unintentional. The media is simply overwhelmingly dominated by those with liberal- in many cases extremely liberal- political leanings. Over 90% of those in print and television media vote Democratic so what is inherently NEWS WORTHY for them is totally different than what is news worthy for a conservative. For instance- Abu Graib dominated the New York Times pages with over 100 stories in less than two months- to liberals this was THE MOST IMPORTANT issue. The story was reported and reported not totally because they wanted to destroy George Bush... Read more

Ask Saddam Hussein if he's overrated. Ask bin Laden and the former Taliban in Afghanistan. Ask Hamid Karzai or Iyad Allawi. This guy has run the table of American Politics: two terms as Governor of Texas (defeating the enormously popular Democratic icon Ann Richards in his first try), two terms as US President, defeated (and deposed) two evil, oppressive regimes, freed (literally) millions of people, increased his majority in both houses of Congress all without being able to speak as well as ANY of his political opponents. He has re-shaped American Foreign Policy in reaction to the unchecked growth of International Terrorism and has prevented further domestic terrorist attacks by making it clear that there are dire consequences for such acts to those who carry them out. He's either dumb as a box of rocks and very lucky, or . . .

There's no way George Bush is over rated. He's done a great job in a tough situation. It depresses me to see people say so many horrible things about such a good man. You may not always agree with him but at least you know what you are getting. I will proudly be voting for him in November once again.

Considering that he didn't even win the election, I'd say he's way overrated.
