Fri Dec 19 2008I’m an old school skater I have a lot of years on Powel boards. The new reissue decks have a new concave that rock’s. I have two rippers an original ripper and now a new reissue deck; I have to say for my old ass to get up on the walls Takes less work on a reissue deck there lighter and the concave helps. If there’s another board out there this Old fart Should try out let me know im willing to learn new tricks. “Bones or Nothing”

Wed May 30 2007I've been skating for more than 20 years and I have to admit the mini-logos are the best value for the money. It's great for senior citizens like me with a full-time job and a family. Performance-wise the board does pretty good when I skate non-stop for a few hours. Unlike other boards i've used, a stress crack does not mean replace soon. for the skater on a budjet, this is a good choice in my book.

Sun Dec 31 2006I got a Powell mini logo #46 (7.75x31.5-ish).I found it slightly heavier, but just barely than other decks. It has good pop, strong as iron,no joke, the wood is like stone, and the SST(super slide treatment)is for real.Mad durable, and mad affordable($35.00 gripped and shipped).I would probably skate these decks exclusively if was wasn't interested in trying out other companies. Can't go wrong with these, the concave is pretty deep and the have a lot of sizes. They also come in a 'Superlight'version, which is lighter and thinner. Now if could only get one with a Valelly or Hill shape with updated concave...

Mon Mar 13 2006mini logos suck! There to flemsy and they get pressure cracks to easy without risers and even without risers! so I took it out to the rifle range where I live and blew the crap out of it with my yugo sks carbine. Regular powells are better.

Tue May 31 2005element is the stupidest company in the world. i bet most of you bam lovers don't even know what bams real name is. i bet i know more about bam then you! and im not even a bam lover. i just watch the show cuz its funny! but anyway, emericaskater is right. the only good guys on element are tosh and jermy wray. and that little ten year old. bam is okay but he is not the best street skater. i'd have to say that the 4 best are chris haslam, brian anderson, correy sheppard, and cairo foster. go popwar!
by emericarules
Sat May 21 2005Yall people have no respect for the original junk these r ok but this is my message to skate element...Element board suck ur probably a poser who loves bam and has seen every episode of viva la Bam and has one of his boards to so and by the way the only reason elements popular is cuz of Bam the only good sk8er on their team is Tosh

Sun Nov 23 2003These boards suck so bad it makes me sick! They are too stiff and dont have enough pop. I had one for my first board and ordered a new deck after about 3 weeks it sucked so bad.GO ELEMENT!
by nollieflipcroo_ks
Fri Jul 11 2003oh god. powell boards suck. their mini logos especially. they have no concave whatsoever. you cant ever ride one of those things without getting pissed off. it is just a joke to ride on. they are not worth 32 dollars
by stuoffkee
Fri May 23 2003Look look look, you can't argue how good a board is by the graph!! And how come some say good pop, some say bad pop, some say they last ages, some say they last one hour!! If you want a board that's strong and amazing, get a Libtech or a Element Fiberlight, if you want an ok board get a powell, BUT DO NOT RIDE IN THE RAIN (CLINT!*!*!!)
by awsskater
Mon Apr 07 2003powells are ok they chip and crack easy but have decent pop

Wed Nov 27 2002Powells are gay. A cheap piece of crap that wont last.
by davis21wylie
Sun Oct 06 2002Powell makes a pretty average deck. Mine is a couple of years old and still hasn't broken, but it has chipped like crazy. Oh yeah, it has no pop whatsoever, and terrible concave. You can't flip this thing to save your life!
by broosky333
Mon Jul 08 2002if you are low on money and just want to get out and skate get a powell mini logo. it was one of the best board i bought. it lasted 3 times as long as most of the other boards i have used and broken. it allways had good pop, it didn't start chipping for 4 months and that is a long time for me. i usually have my boards chipped in 2 or 3 weeks
by rimac_bob
Mon Jul 01 2002these are bad they break in like 2 weeks the wood is soft and these boards arent strong

Tue Jan 30 2001Powell skateboards have about the best in pipe and street skating. Grinding with a wide board and lightness that provide for creative skating in street enviornments. Powell has a wide variety of sample boards and they have always top riders testing them out.

Tue Jan 23 2001My experience with Powell skateboards was manifested in the 80's. My friends all had Powell boards and I had an old Santa Cruz board. Their decks seemed a little heavier, yet sturdier. Old school Powell decks have a unique shape.
by shagsbfa
Thu Jan 11 2001Powell makes a fairly decent black deck, which I would recommend if you are just starting to skate. They cost about $30, but are worth it. I have a 8.5 inch wide deck, which hasn't cracked, split or broken in my long, tedious learning process.

Tue Dec 12 2000I skated for 10 years and one brand that I could rely on was Powell. Many skateboard companies come and go, but Powell (Powell Peralto) has always been. Powell's factory is within a two hour drive of the wood source, so the maple is always strong.
by fatkat
Tue Dec 12 2000These boards are okay. Their prices are awesome, only $35 for a blank. However, these boards are a little heavy and they chip. Also, the boards come with a lot of pop, but the pop wears out pretty fast.
by kook1994
Mon Dec 11 2000I have had a Powell before and it was a sick board. Very strong and cheap. I had a blank deck which lasted forever. Super good board. Would definitely by another.
