Definitely an addiction. there is scientific proof of chemical changes in the brain with pornography use, and it is definitely a method of 'numbing' stress and pain.

Gives you carpal tunnel from all I've heard. Not a problem unless you spend all your money on it...

Let's see, now. Is some mope putting a gun to your head and saying, "Watch that porno, or I'll blow your brains out!" No? That's not happening? Well then use a little of your will and control yourself.

I will agree with jetjock here...with one qualifier- what is pornography? If you ask most fundamentalist or southern Baptists, nudes (art) and erotica fit the definition.

A dangerous and consuming addiction. It is not like cigarettes in that it contains anything to get you hooked but it does increase dopamine flow in the brain (a biochemical that is linked to pleasure) so in a way it can be classified as a chemical addiction. If thats too much of a stretch, at the very least it desensitizes you to where you aren't satisfied with a normal sex life and are only turned on by girls that look near-perfect.

The problem is people who are too preoccupied with not accepting time honored truths society has developed over countless centuries that they all simply go the exact opposite direction like everyone else. These are those who's destiny is dictated by society more than any others, mostly crying liberals and hippies. There is not enough room here for me to go into all the science which is considerable and almost universally conclusive except to say that those in the psychology community have come to the realization that pornography can be a terrible addiction with both psychological and chemical components which can be one of, if not outright the harde... "Addiction to porn" is strictly for the contemporary 80's-to-90's self-pitying, whining, talk-show-victim types. . .take porn over an inability to do drugs, gamble, or stop listening to the voices in your head. . .porn is healthy for those who enjoy it and a way of thinning the herd for those weaklings who can't. . .natural selection, kids. . .

Oh please, like anyone could be addicted to porn. This "addiction" is strictly for the Dr. Phil set.
