I may have been the only white person in the entire place. The drive through had a bullet proof window (not kidding). Good chicken though if you like paying $11 for an order of chicken strips (I don't)

Large woman was in the back making my chicken and i saw her wipe her but crack and pick up my chicken. I then proceeded to vomit all over the place. I then ran into the kitchen and pooped in the fryer (:

Popeyes is great, Jerome eats there all the time. Usually he washes the spicy chicken down with colt 45 malt liquor. Last time we were there, he drank a gallon of sweet iced tea, and vomitted all over the table. The other customers did not like that much, but he calmed them down by swinging his vanity cane at them. Sometimes Jerome is a crazy man, he does not like the chicken tenders (honkey food) but when he gets his hands on a bucket of bona fide dark meat chicken peices, he loses it. He tells me he likes his women liek his whiskey, 12 yrs old and mixed up with coke. Whooo!!!!

Popeyes chicken gets soggy way to fast and I seem to always get the runs when I eat here..Not so much of a fan like I used to be with them..The best chicken in Houston, Tx is Frenchy's on Scott street or home cooked fried chicken is even better!!!

One of my friends just raved about this place when it came to town last summer. So i decided it was time to give them a try because it was something different. It smelled really good when I walked in although it seemed a bit pricey. Well, I regret the having made the decision to order. The chicken tasted like it had been cooked in Havoline 90 weight differential oil additive and the sides were mediocre at best. It’s just too bad you can’t claim the enticing smell of food as false advertising.

Popeyes is great, after a long night stealing, and driving around in my Escalade, I usually eat 8-10 pcs. It gives me gas big time, but WTF, Pete likes it too, it makes him crap a lot, but everything seems to. If I didn't spend all my money on chicken, I could buys some spinners. Peace out! Tyrone.

Here is my first experience at a Popeyes restaurant, and it is not pretty: My girlfriend and her parents wanted some Popeye's Chicken and I had never even heard of it, much less been there. So I took some cash and their orders, went to the Popeyes which was across the street from the local KFC. While the odors coming from the Popeyes were pretty appetizing, I discovered that all of their chicken is super-spicy, so that resolved me getting KFC for myself, but filling my girlfriend's and her parent's orders at Popeyes. When I went in, the place was crowded, as it was lunch time and apparently this Popeyes place is pretty popular in the Chicago suburbs. As I stood in line, I saw that there were about ten people working in the kitchen, and not one of them was wearing gloves for food sanitation, nor were they using the tongs meant for serving the chicken. They were using their bare hands to scoop up popcorn chicken, tenders, and make sandwiches. What is worse: several of the men in bac... Read more

They are too expensive, go back to Louisiana where the gamblers can afford to buy it. I like the mashed potatoes and gravy but I am not willing to go for broke to eat a yard bird.

I used to love Popeye's as a kid, so three stars just for that, but I can't eat fried stuff nearly as much. When I was in New Orleans, my hotel was right next to a Popeye's......long story short, it gave me the chills.

So disgusting. Just walking in, I felt like I was wading through grease. I couldn't breathe and the smell was terrible. I couldn't bring myself to eat anything after that, and just left.

I recently ordered 2 piece chicken mixed lunch plate. I asked for the red beans and rice. I received, a tiny wing and what 'the girl behind the counter described as a thigh'. The thigh, if it was a thigh had to have been divided into 1/2 or 1/3rds by the looks of the bones. If I say that I had about 6 small bites of chicken from both pieces it would be truthful! The beans were really watery and the rice hard (undercooked). They charged me 5.94 - this is for the 2 small pieces of chicken, red beans and rice and a biscuit without butter or honey. They had a 30 cent up-charge for the white meat. This was just about as bad as it gets. I left hungry and feeling stupid!!! Stopped on my way back to the office to pick up a milk shake. Just so folks reading this don't get the wrong visual image, I am not a gorger. I am not an overeater. I am a small woman. I usually frequent places that have salads and soups. This was one of those days where I was passing by and it sounded good. Used to reall... Read more

My name is Gina Boudreau, I visited your Kennebunk rest stop on Sept.8,08 with 2 gentlemen friends and was sadly disappointed with your closing routine. The time was 8;59 (we know that because of the manager came out and repeatedly told the employees to shut down and throw the remaining chicken away). As I was standing to buy my chicken with my friend Jim, I inquired on getting a deal of half off since they were throwing them anyway. My other friend Joe was in the process of picking a basket of chicken out when the employee took it from him and threw it away. I very loudly told the manager that my friend wanted to buy that and he looked away from me and said again Shut it down. When the manager realized Jim and I were still waiting to pay for ours he didn't know how to handle it. A girl employee told him she still had her draw open so she could take our money. The saddest part of all, is the waste of food. Had your establishment stayed open for an extra 15 minutes you could have... Read more

The store in Conyers Georgia is terrible. No customer service and the manager is rude. Had a problem with a to go order and got home with the wrong thing. The funny thing about it is we were the only customers in the store. Call from home to talk with the manager and she was very rude, saying so what do you want me to do about it. The attitude she showed on the phone was horrible. She couldn't even speak good English. We should have left before we ordered as all the employees where playing and not working. This is a new store and our first and last time in there. With that customer service and manager it will not last long.

I like Popeye's...probably my favorite chicken establishment, largely because of the red beans and rice.

The chicken and sandwiches are satisfactory, but what really impresses me about Popeye's is the variety of sides. Some of the options are not common to fast food, like red beans and rice. All of the sides are good. The biscuits are tasty but if you analyze them and notice how greasy and heavy they are they become less appetizing.

I've had it a couple times while travelling in the U.S. and found it a little better than average for fast food chicken. The one outlet I've been to in Canada, however, apparently cooks the chicken in Quaker State 10w30.
