Thu Oct 22 2009If I could love a certain food (and eat it forever) I would love pizza. No, scratch that, I've already fallen in love with Pizza by Marco. This pizza is so good that its the one I eat to start off my Friday night, the cure to my Saturday morning hangover and the one that I share with my family after church on Sunday. Keep it comin'!!! Also, the sauce is magnificent. Too bad it's a secret recipe...they should seriously contemplate selling it in jars. If you're there, ask for Michael or Eric, they are the two best employees. They are the pizza experts!

Mon Aug 10 2009A somewhat concealed front door opens to a pocket-sized dining room of five to six small tables, where regulars have been savoring the pies since 1956. A tiled floor leads customers to a slate stacked counter where pizza is ordered. Hung chalkboard menus detail toppings, pastas and salads. The kitchen delivers a steaming barbecue chicken pizza with an olive oil glaze, grilled sizzling chicken, punchy red onions and cilantro to the counter for hungry guests to pick up. The scent of Parmesan and feta wafts through the intimate area, a smell that evokes desires of a four-cheese calzone and all the extras.

Mon Dec 01 2008My husband and I decided to try this new place that opened up in our neighborhood but being big pizza lovers, we were cautious with our expectations. Oh my gosh, Pizza by Marco is the best thin crust pizza we've ever had. We easily eat there 3 to 4 times a month now. We had never been there but learned there are two other locations, Preston and Royal and Parker and Toll, and now this one in North Dallas. Evidently his dad started making pizza in DFW back in the 50's and now the son has taken over to keep it going. The sauce is amazing - I'm not sure what it is about it but it is addicting, and I'm not a big sauce fan. The cheese is just right and my favorite toppings are chicken, garlic & sun-dried tomatoes. (They have all the traditional and some tasty gourmet toppings as well.) My husband likes hamburger so we split a large and easily go through it - he eats a slice or two of my half. :) The crust is thin enough that it has great texture and flavor but not too filling. I've re... Read more
