Petsmart's service is terrible. I had on occasion visited the location in Tucson, Arizona, at Grant/Swan Rds. I was falsely accused of shoplifting. The purported "stolen merchandise" was the white appointment card I was holding when I walked out of the store. I had scheduled an appointment, which I most certainly did not show up for, and was accused of a crime. The manager, who made this scene embarrassing by shouting at me at the top of her lungs, did not apologize. Petland is much better. I was greeted by friendly staff who asked me if I needed help. Petco is also fantastic, and they were exceptional with my situation. ANYTHING IN TUCSON BUT PETSMART !!!!

PetsMart.com has never failed me. I've gotten all items ordered in great time and without error. Once, an item ordered was discontinued and they replaced it with a similar item at the lower price of the original item desired ... the replacement item was almost $32.99 and I only paid $29.99. Side Note: Often, I find great deals/items online and will call the store to see if I can get the item/deal there (save on shipping and waiting) and it has never failed, they work with me and my pets. They have even offered to order a item not in-stock at the store, for me to come in and pick up after the expiration of a online deal! Staff has always been helpful and friendly and some even remembered my dog by name after only 3-4 visits.

I must say that PETsMART.com keeps me a customer of the local PETsMART stores. If i find what I want online, and ther site is pretty well oranized, I print the page out. I take the page to my local PETsMART store where the price for that same item is often as high as 2X the price of their online store. I ask the manager to price match their online price, and when he does, I buy the item and go home with it. Don't ever buy at their brick and moartar stores without getting the online price first.

I ordered a wire crate and after 3 buisness days they email me back saying they cancelled my order. So I called them to find out that it was a discontinued item and they were all gone. They didn't offer any other deal they just said we are all out and will not get anymore in. So I am alittle upset that they had it available on the site for order but didn't have any. On a side note they offered me to buy a different color crate same size but it was $35 more. Anyway that was my experience and I wanted to share. I will never order from them again and neither will all my freinds and family. There loss.

I'm not sure whether PetSmart deserves three stars or four. Now that Pets.com is closed, I've been forced to choose between Petopia and PetSmart if I want to buy dog food on-line. And neither choice is all that great. PetSmart doesn't even sell the food I need in 40 lb. bags, and buying two 20 lb. bags, when you include shipping, would cost me about twice as much as buying one 40 lb. bag at a regular pet supply store. Now I may be pretty lazy, but even I will get off my ass and drive to the store if it means saving $20 on a bag of dog food. At the same time, when PetSmart has sales, they offer some pretty good deals. And I've found their shipping and customer service to be reliable.

I recently purchased some items from PETsMART for the first time and found it to be a positive experience. Although I think they could make their site a little more user friendly and the images a lot crisper so as to get a real sense of what you're buying, overall it was pretty smooth sailing. Scouped up some after Christmas sale items which was even better because all of the things I purchased were half off. Combine that with delivery to my door and it's pretty hard to beat! I think the online world would be a very empty place without a pet supply store.
