Thu Jan 08 2009I came to Persona Jewelry for the engagement ring upgrade. The service that I received was impeccable. I gave them an idea about the ring and a month later my dream was evolved into life. I absolutely love my fabulous ring and thanks to Gary and Margarita who made it happen. Their friendly service, expertise and imagination are priceless! I would not go anywhere else for my jewelry.

Thu Jan 08 2009i love this place because gary took my original diamond and restyled it to look like a stylish right hand fashion ring. i get so many compliments! they also have alexis bittar which i have bought for gifts a million times! this must be the largest alexis bittar collection in boston! i also have a major love for vintage and antique jewelry-and bought 2 unreal signed vintage pieces that i cherish! i would love to go there right now! if you need anyone to help you w/ jewelry styling-this is the #1 place in town!

Thu Jan 08 2009We live in Connecticut - but visit Persona every time we're in town. We've been coming for years, and with each visit we are impressed with the new and interesting jewelry and gift items they have - they even had wasabi chocolate once! If you want something different, this place is a must! The jewelry is also great - the owners are welcoming, and Gary (the in-store designer) is very talented. My husband bought me an anniversary ring a couple of years ago that gets more compliments than my engagement ring! Highly recommend this store!

Thu Jan 08 2009I've been shopping here since they opened and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The selection is both hip and classic, they have something for every occasion and price range - for birthdays, anniversaries, or just to get you out of the doghouse. Gary is a brilliant artist and will make anything custom for you. The engagement ring they made for me was perfect. He even made our wedding bands out of a single piece of gold. They just think of everything. Rarely do you find a place that goes the extra mile so consistently and has such great product and pricing. Don't shop anywhere else.

Wed Jan 07 2009I have visited several of the persona stores and have found the sales people to be very friendly and helpful. The jewelry is unique one of a kind, you can even have Persona create a custom piece from your old not worn or not liked jewelry. The store itself is a jewel. For those that are looking for the one of a kind, the different the piece that will stand out, this is the place to visit.

Wed Jan 07 2009So I've been to 2 or 3 of their stores and have always found a very congenial person sitting behind the little desk. Who looks genuinely happy to meet me! They have superb taste, and carry a lot of things you don't get to see anyplace else, and I'm not even talking about the jewelry! They have these exotic chocolate bars, I remember my wife brought me this "marital bliss" bar once, and another time one that said 'his' and 'hers' and the her's part was twice the size of the his, whereas on top it said 50-50, so yeah they have really nice stuff!

Wed Jan 07 2009Margarita and Gary made my birthday wish come true! I had my eye on a ring for a while, I'm embarrassed to say that I actually "visited" the ring on more than one occasion they probably thought I was mad. Anyhow a few weeks before my birthday I was at Persona buying a birthday gift for a co-worker. The ring (my ring) was out because someone had just tried it on... I grabbed it and put it on my finger, it was perfect! They insisted on giving me such a ridiculous deal that I couldn't pass it up...they saw how happy it made me and said "call it a little birthday gift from us...." I couldn't believe their generosity, they truly made me feel special! I have had 100 compliments already. It was meant to be on my finger :) Thanks guys you're the best!

Wed Jan 07 2009I usually dont write reviews, even for products I LOVE, but this was such a find I absolutely HAD to make it known. My girls and I just dropped in to browse, not expecting to find anything we could afford, so imagine our surprise when we found jewelry that we didnt even have to think about before buying. The owners turned out to a young couple our own age, who not only design and create their own jewelry, but also offer custom designing. I'm very proud of my own custom-dsigned wedding band, so showed it off to them, and Gary noticed that it had become a bit dented in one spot. Before you can say hey presto! he'd whisked it off to his little workshop in the store, and fixed AND polished it. FOR FREE! Before we even BOUGHT anything!! We walked out with fantastic lucite pieces, and shocked expressions! If you ever feel like being treated like you have a family jeweller, just drop in, you wont be disappointed!!

Wed Jan 07 2009The staff at Persona Jewelry+ are just GREAT! I would not go any where else to buy jewelry, handbags and that special little gift that we all need once in a while. I have been most pleased with all my purchases especially the ring that Gary and I designed together. Gary knew exactly how to interpret what I wanted. The price was more that reasonable and the selection of semi-precious stones Gary was able to gather exceeded all my expectations. Almost every season and look forward to the selection of handbags and gifts that Margarita will have selected for the stores. What is extremely exciting is that many bags are exclusive to Persona+ and I don?t have to worry about seeing my bag walk down the street and even better they are reasonably priced. When I am in a pinch for a ?little something? I can run into Persona and pick up a great candle or small gift... it?s a pleasure to shop at Persona! They always exced my expectations!

Wed Jan 07 2009Wow!! and that's an understatement... To impress my "fiancee" it does take quite a lot but Persona did it!!! from entering their shop you are welcomed by friendly staff letting you look around without being pushy and on you all the time. I was rather undecided as to what to buy my girlfriend to become my fiancee\ a few days later. Not knowing what i wanted exactly...its a big step... I was introduced to the designer, Gary who spend at least 45 minutes with me in order to find out about my future fiancee likes and dislikes...he showed me a few pieces that he had made and form there He designed the ring from nothing!!! the service does not stop there, once i picked the ring and presented it to my Fiancee to be I was called the following morning by Persona to ask me if all was to expectations? who does that anymore?, even the big shot jewlery like Cartier and others do not bother!!! So they do a really good job, the service is excellent and the quality of the work produced outstanting... Read more

Thu Dec 18 2008I am the third woman from my office that had a bad experience at this store. Please do yourself and your friends a favor and do not shop there. THEY ARE CON ARTIISTS!!!!!!

Wed Sep 12 2007What an amazing place and people. The feeling that you get once you walk into Persona Jewlery is as if you are in Heaven. The ambiance and amazingly designed and thought of atmosphere made us feel like we are in a different planet. But this was nothing until we were asked if we needed help. We never usually fall for sales people, but resisting Margarita along with her hospitality and simplicity and yet sophistication, made it impossible, because after speaking with her for about 5 minutes we felt like we were friends forever. It?s funny that we came into the store just to look around but we ended up leaving with the most amazing upgrade of my engagement ring that my husband gave to me 15 years ago (we were in Boston to celebrate our 15 year anniversary). We visited the store back in the beginning of August, but now that Gary finished the ring and my husband proposed to me once more:) and I cannot stop looking at this ring. What a difference!!!! Gary YOUR HANDS ARE AMAZING?form now on ... Read more

Wed Sep 12 2007Persona is one of those shops that as soon as you walk inside, you feel brand new! The artistic design of the main shop at the Hotel Commonwealth will truly mesmorize you...its colorful, harmonic, and I don't know what they do over there, but it smells fantastic as well! Its almost like walking in a Spa! Like that wasn't enough, the staff is among the kindest, genuine, helpful people you could meet...but lets talk jewelry...my goodness... Persona is truly a "candyshop" for adults...you walk around and you lose yourself in the variety of collections displayed...best part about it? ANYBODY can afford a piece at Persona because they have pieces from $35 up!!!!!! Isn't that great!!!! Sooo...if you need to buy a present, you need to check out Persona...they also carry a bunch of lifestyle items such as candles, cards, bags, baby gifts...wow - what a "gem" to have in the city!!

Wed Sep 12 2007I've just stumbled upon the one-star review of Persona+ and am absolutely SHOCKED to see someone accuse them of selling a "fake platinum". I must go on the defense here! But before I do, I want to assure you that I'm NOT and employee, nor do I have any kind of relationship with anyone at the store. I am a customer. I have shopped at this store many MANY times and will voice my commitment as many times as possible. This is one of the best stores of its kind! Everything that is sold is authentic and top quality, and the service is top notch. The designer is the most honest person anyone will ever meet in their life time. They don't make 'em like that, that's for sure. I know at least a dozen people (including myself) who've done business with Persona, and every single one has been happy with their purchase. Anyone reading reviews of Persona, please do not let that one ridiculous and absolutely FALSE review stop you from going there.

Tue Jan 09 2007This was the last place I shopped at and wish that it was the first. Gary and Margarita gave crash course on diamonds and engagement rings with out any pressure. Service was timely & impeccable. Definitely Best in Boston, if not New England. Best part is that she loves it and said yes.

Mon Nov 27 2006From the moment you walk in, it's like you've arrived at a familiar destination. If the staff doesn't know your name the first time, you can be sure they'll remember it months down the road when you stop back because you were so satisfied with your purchase. More than just jewelry, any of their shops around the city can provide you with that last minute gift, uniquely elegant specialty pieces or your every day staples of jewelry. Gary, the in-house designer can do anything...your price range, your ideas. I couldn't recommend this boutique style shop more!

Mon Nov 27 2006Amazing atmosphere, unique jewelry selection and welcoming staff is what makes Persona Jewelry a truly marvelous store. Fabulous decor, variety of jewelry and personalized attention perfectly describe this location. I had a wonderful experience and was happy to see array of astonishing jewelry with choices in white and yellow gold, delicate beads and chunky pieces, stunning diamond rings and cocktail rings. Relaxing atmosphere with soothing music on the background and warm welcoming of Joanne and Gary help me not to feel pressured or nervous about browsing the store. I definitely recommend Persona Jewelry for both small gifts for your girlfriends or the most important ring purchase of your life...

Sat Nov 25 2006i was staying in the ritz carlton over thanksgiving break and stopped by the persona gift shop to buy some toothpaste. how i also ended up buying two bracelets and a pair of earrings is completely beyond me. i had never seen such a unique display of jewelry and knew that i would never find anything like them anywhere else. i get compliments from all my friends at school who constantly ask where i got my jewelry from. i smile because i know that what i?m wearing is one of a kind. for every professional shopper out there that's tired of generic shelf jewelry, persona is the best place to go for uniqueness!

Fri Nov 24 2006At Persona Jewelry, I found the more than just the ring to sweep her off her feet. I found uniqueness, flawlessness, and perfection in jewelry and customer service. The lovely young couple who own the store, Gary and Margarita, gave me a quick but necessary jewelry tutorial, turning me into quite the jewelry connoisseur. They taught me everything from stones, settings, to quality, and were completely honest about pricing. The more you know about jewelry, the more confident you feel about choosing a piece, and the worthier the piece becomes to you. Thankfully, Gary and Margarita, provided a less intimidating approach to shopping for jewelry, and I ended up custom-designing ?with much help from the in-house designer, Gary- a ring that will last a lifetime.

Mon Oct 30 2006I visited about 6 places when searching for an engagement ring. For each place, I compared prices by asking for a quote for a standard platinum ring that had no special design. I then discussed with the store what I was looking for, which was something unique. Persona has some unique jewelry and moreover offers help in designing personalized objects. They listened to me and I liked their friendly, non-pushy approach. However, their price for the standard ring was double the price I was given at another store. I ended up choosing to buy a ring from designer Karina Mattei in Coolidge Corner.

Tue May 09 2006I was looking to get engaged. All us guys know how scary that is. A friend of mine told me about Gary at Persona. I went there after a couple of the branded stores. He was awesome he took his time and eplained everything. He taught me about diamonds we designed a setting together. I never felt so at ease. He is young and newly married so he knows what is like. He is an amazing craftsman and teacher. I would go to Persona for all my jewelry needs in heartbeat. Thank you guys for Everything. She Said Yes. See You Soon (wedding bands)

Wed Oct 26 2005Being a guy is hard. You are always getting your wife something that is not what she wanted. The people at persona made me a star for the day. Not only did they pick something that my wife adores but the also made it easy to shop there. They stayed later to see me. With the Complimentary Valet parking I was able to get in and get out.

Wed Oct 26 2005This place has everything from Trendy to traditional to one of a kind pieces! They also carry more than just jewelry which makes it a great place to get gifts for every person and every occassion. I had a ring custom made there and everyone that sees it raves about how gorgeous it looks - antique with a modern twist! I can't wait for my next one of a kind piece that they are going to creat for me.

Wed Oct 26 2005This store is about every person who walks through the door. The ownwers and staff are welcoming and make you feel beyond special! Their attention to detail is beyond compare. THis is every persons jeweler! If you have pieces that are outdated and meaningful, this is the place to go to create jewelry that you can wear today. No one here will tell you that your jewelry or stones have no value and it's not worth using to create something new. AND you can be sure if you are have a custom piece made, you will NEVER see anyone else wearing it! ( like some other jewelers do.)

Tue Aug 16 2005I came in here and was treated like I was a celebrity. The service was great and the in-house designer spent almost an hour talking to me about possible designs for a new piece of jewelry. I would recommend this place to anyone. It truly is a new gem in the city.
