The worst of the award shows and completely meaningless. Proof that most of the people in the US are unable to gauge real talent.

Though not as fun as the oscars since the hosts aren't really great, at least my favorites win most often.Update: just saw these past winners and I disagreed with them so much I changed it to a one a one star.

I can't belive Gibson, Moore Won People's Choice Awards. Fahrenheit 9/11 won the favorite movie award. I thought it was a bunch of propaganda strung together not a real movie. And Passion of the Christ won in the favorite drama category. I couldn't even sit throught this movie. Who want's to sit through 2 hours of somebody being beat to death? Now that's not entertainment.

Having the voting done through a website guarantees that voters can vote as many times as they want. All they have to do is go to different computers. You come out with a skewed result.

This is one lame awards show. They need to at least make some effort to keep it current. I remember a few years ago, they were announcing the nominees for Male Vocalist, and one of them was Kenny Rogers, and HE HADN'T HAD A HIT IN YEARS. Not that a hit would matter, because he can't sing anyway. But I digress. It's my understanding that when the voting is taking place, the "people" can vote for whoever they want, it doesn't matter if they've fallen off the map or not. Now dead people, I'm not sure about. They may have some sort of rule about nominating dead people, but I wouldn't bet on it. I vote for Elvis!

Went to the People's Choice Awards January 12, 2003. I thought I was in for a great show, but was sadly disappointed. After waiting about 3 hours standing in line outside, we were finally let in. Yet we were met with the task of several feet of stairs which made me feel like I was climbing the steps to the pyramids. Not really what I or any other women were looking forward to after standing in high heels for the previous 3 hours. So we climbed to what seemed like the ROOF of the Pasadena Civic Center. As we practically sat on the roof we had a difficult time seeing what appeared to be Tony Danza yet it was much easier to see him on the monitors. My husband and I were unable to sit together and were sitting apart with a partial block of the view. Anyway, we were given yet another huge disappointment when 1/3 of the winners were no where to be seen. Some of the winners had pre-taped acceptance speeches but somed just didn't have anything at all. Then there was the self-absorbed... Read more

An average attempt to let viewers pick their favorites. Pretty forgettable specials, watchable at the most.

Gee, if this was the People's choice, you'd figure they would have the people pick the nominess....let alone actually publicizing how the people can vote for it. If it was the people's choice. They would send a pamphlet to each home asking who they wanted nominated for each category. What a media controlling farce!

While it's nice that we, the people, actually get to choose who will win, when you think about it, is it REALLY the people's choice? Every category lists only 5 choices and I'm supposed to vote for one of the five. What if I don't like any of the five choices under each category? What if I want to vote for something else in that same category, but it's not listed? Not really a person's choice, is it? If there were open ballots and everyone could write in what they wanted, then that would be a true People's Choice Awards.

Why would you not like this award show, when it is decided by the people?
