Pei Wei is good for what it is meant to be, an Americanized "asian cuisine" influenced restaurant. You can order take out and get it within 10 minutes, the food (at least the Mongolian Beef) has good flavor, especially when paired with the spicy mustard (the real stuff, not the kind in the packet). For those who have reviewed this restaurant negatively, I understand they are entitled to their opinions. However, you don't go to Pei Wei for authentic asian cuisine any more than you go to Del Taco for authentic Mexican. In the many times I have visited both P.F. Chang's and Pei Wei I have never seen an asian employee, and for the love of god, they play american music in the restaurant. While the prices are a little high for what you get, its not rediculously so. It is about what I would expect to pay considering the atmosphere and the "trendy" nature of the establishment.

If you think this is chinese food then you need to check your pulse? Am I missing something? The chicken (take your pick - orange, blue, spicy) comes from the same cooking vessel. The noodles come out sticky or greasy, and those aren't menu selections!! You guys really need to expand your horizon's if you think PF (Pretty Fake) is representative of Chinese food, or even asian! In my opinion - this is about as real chinese a chicken wrapped in lettuce. Please. For the love of god.....

This place is really good! It gets busy for lunch time during the week since there's so many businesses in the area. But, the food is really good and if you're willing to wait a few minutes for lunch, then its well corth it! I highly recommend this place.

In Short For those who love takeout Chinese but can't find a restaurant that's fast enough, clean enough, cheap enough or good enough, Pei Wei (pronounced "pay way") is a godsend. Red floors, black accents and an exhibition kitchen hung with giant woks give this room a dramatic impact way beyond its price point. The menu is Pan-Asian, offering the edamame of Japan, the pad thai of Thailand and the rice-paper wraps of Vietnam.

Pei Wei is disgusting, I'm not the only one who thinks so, I can tell by the disappointed look on the faces of fellow customers. For all it's poshly dressed waitpersons and the continued harping that it is the "little brother'" of P.F. Chang's one would think Pei Wei would do better. If someone went to Pei Wei before ever trying P.F. Chang's that person would never step foot in Chang's assuming they'd be served the same bland, boring, tasteless junk for a higher price not knowing that the supposedly higher priced "big brother" has far superior food and actually better deals for someone on a budget. P.F. Chang's should be ashamed of this nasty "down-market step sister" .

Give me a break. Top 10 cheap eats in Phoenix? Are you really kidding me. First of all there are multiple and they are generic, so how is this one ranked and the others are not? This is a 2nd rate PF Changs and almost priced the same. And, oh by the way it is the strip mall version of PF Changs and owned by the same company in case you can not see or taste. The food is made in large batches and is very lacking in the protein/meat and spice category. Additionally all of the dishes are nearly identical with the small protein portion the only variety. You also get a ridiculously disproportionately large amount of rice for some reason. So maybe you got this right. It did not say good cheap eats, just "CHEAP EATS".

Pei Wei is the offshoot of PF Chang's. This is a great restaurant with fabulous food. A little pricey, but not as expensive as PF Changs. ...

When you're in a hurry for a quick and great bite, this is the place to stop. Lunch tiem tends to get busy so hitting off peak is best if possible.

I guess it is the old saying you get what you pay for. Even though the food is a bit pricey, it is very good and the portions are more than enough. I usually go with the honey seared chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The beef dishes are also very good and filling. I especially like their flavors of iced tea they have as well. The only negative I have for any of the restaurants is of course the seating capacity. It is very small and sometimes very hard to squeeze through to get to anything or to get to a table. It is a very yuppy and trendy place, but all in all I enjoy it very much!

The only reason people eat here is because it's the latest "trend". The amount of portions you get for the price are tiny (take-out anyway). The food wasn't good and the service was worse. I don't recomend it unless you want to be "trendy"

I love this place! The food is very consistant and good. You can get a beer or glass of wine (always a bonus in my book) In and out in a flash. It is great for kids and is actually one resturant we can all agree on.

I travel Asia and US and a long-time enthusiast for Asian cooking. Pei Wei has a distinct business style and deliver system. They may attract innocent Americans in the name of "Asiatique" theme but the food, service are so pretentious, the taste is superficial (basically cheaply covered-up Chinese fast food)... I found the bowls used an insult as it is like a dog food bowl. But, hey, it's great if you don't really know what Asian cuisine is like and happy with just a flaky style and quick delivery system.

Pei Wei is GREAT!! The same quality of food that P.F. Changs offers, but the prices are much more reasonable, and they have a GREAT take-out service - so call ahead, place your order and pick-up THEY DELIVER IT TO YOUR CAR!!

Tasty, fast, & healthy. Not typical fast food. Basic menu items with choice of meats. Good for those avoiding carbs. Skip the rice. Try the edamame.

Food as good as PF Changs without the wait. Yes, it can get crowed, but the turn over is quick and the food is worth any wait that you might have. Only draw back, there are not enough locations. A location is need downtown and in the west valley.

Pei Wei offers a unique dining ambience that is subtly sophisticated and comfortable but not stuffy. The service by the staff is always fast and proactive, but never in-your-face and annoying. The food is always served fast and hot, and presented in a pleasant style. There is no better place to get Chinese food you would pay a bundle for, and instead pay much less and be in such a relaxed environment with great service.

The food was GREAT.....Reminds me of it's big brother Pf Chang's but quicker service and less money. The Lettuce Wraps are awesome. The whole menu, yes I said the WHOLE menu is AWESOME...... It is reasonable too, could even go out to a movie afterwards...

Pei Wei gives you all the food of P.F. Chang's at a fraction of the cost. You can definitely tell that it is more of a fast food version of P.F. Chang's but it has a much better atmosphere that you'll find at any other restaurant chain. The service was fast, they cook everything in front of you, and best all the food is delicious. I'll definitely be having seconds...

I like Pei Wei, it's clean, fresh, and good food. It's not as good as Chang's, but a good choice. I think it is in the wrong catagory though, it is NOT CHEAP EATS!! Two cannot get out of there for less than $20.

Love the Hoisin Explosion with Veggies! The spring rolls are also way yummy! This is a great place to go for lunch during the week. The line can get long but the staff does a great job moving everyone through quickly. Highly recommended. Drawback? Can get noisy. Especially with the music blaring at times.

The foos is amazing, and they are great about huge orders. But the seating at the Ray Rd. location is very cramped. We usually end up getting it to go.

The menu items featured at Pei Wei mimick that of PF Changs; however, you can get in and out quickly. Food can be ordered to go. The dining area is crowded and small -- an excellent spot to go for a fast lunch but it is not private, intimate or a place for private conversation!

The best value, quality asian food in the valley. Consistant in both locations that I have tried. Fast, very reasonalbly priced, and delicious. I order as I am leaving work. It is ready when I arrive. The aroma from the take out bag is so inticing, it is hard to not pull over and dig in before I get home.

This restaurant combines speed, fresh ingredients and unique blends of cooking styles---for Fast Food. Seems like the take out business is about 3 times the dine in. Great decor and service. The food is wonderfully prepared, brought to your table by a server. This restaurant is like a modern Chinese/Asian restaurant but without the normal high prices. I've dined here 5 times and have had no negative experiences. Recommend you try it

Good Eats. Faster version of PF Chang's with no 2 hour wait. Recommend the Mongollian Beef and Lo Mein.
