Michael Chatkin seemed nice enough when he bid the job. The problems soon started: - hours late each day - they skipped a 1x5 ft spot - the sander didn't edge; wrong machine for that, extra $200 to fix it - dirty brushes left chunks of dust embedded in the top coat in the hallway - dropped a dresser, damaged it & left huge scratch in the floor When things go wrong, Michael's first reaction is extreme anger. He agreed to fix the embedded dust (nothing else - scratch was our fault for having furniture) but used a quick fix that left obvious patches. This put us into Thanksgiving & floor still not done. I paid him 75% of the job cost but held back 25% until the job was completed. Michael started dunning me (& guests) for the 25% during Thanksgiving holidays before completing the job. In Dec he agreed to fix it as he should have the 1st time; they sanded the area lightly to put another clear coat on (20 min). Project manager Micheal was thorough and crew was on time and worked hard. Installed new wood floors in kitchen and redid existing floors in rest of 1st floor. Worked with client on stain selection. Overall very pleased with work and price.

They did a very nice job of installing aout 900 squre feet of Engineered Wood Flooring on a slab using a trowel on vapor barrier and glue. Very Good Work !!!

The work has not started yet, but Michael Chatkin is a real pro that truly understands his business and is focused solely on wood flooring. His estimates were fair and thorough. He made himself available to answer all my questions and was very responsive. I will have more to report once the work is complete.

We LOVE our new hardwood floors and I would highly recommend Peach Design, Inc!!! Michael was very pleasant to work with. He was very knowledgeable and experienced with hardwood floor installation. We went on vacation for a week and they installed the hardwoods while we were gone. It looked great when we returned. I found a few minor scratches and Michael returned the next day to correct them. He was very responsive and made sure that the floors looked perfect. Also, his price was very competitive. This was the best experience that I have ever had with a contractor!!!

Michael's son Garrett and a couple of other men came to the house and did the installation in just a few hours. They did a great job. They were friendly and professional. They didn't leave until I was satisfied with the job. Thanks, Michael.
