I love peaches!

Delicious when they're perfectly ripe, peaches are juicy and sweet. The window for ripeness is narrow, however, and often days after you pick them up anywhere but a farmer's market. Peaches lack the potential for instant gratification.

Tastes sour when green but when ripe its good.

There are two types of peaches; fresh and in season (amazing) and out of season (not worth the paper that your money is printed on). Peaches are quintessential to the cuisine of the southern U.S. Great with many meats and few tastes are quite so memorable (in a good way) as the perfectly ripe, fresh peach.

Buy these organic because otherwise they're loaded with pesticides and whatnot

Peaches are really good. I probably eat them twice a week. They aren't my favorite, but they are good.

Ehh, I might be southern, but I am not a big peach fan. I have eaten them. It wouldn't be my first pick for fruit.

I think peaches are great. I especially like the white ones.

A good fruit, but a few factors keep it from being a great one. For starters, that pit in the middle of it is just gargantuan and makes cutting it difficult. Also, there's about a mile of distance in taste between a good peach and a bad one. When you get a bad one, you can tell: it's hard as a rock and virtually tasteless.

i love peaches but not when they are soft. i like them with a crunch still to them. i wish they were available all year

I like peaches but easily bruised and usually very hard to find in perfect condition.If in perfect condition and perfectly ripe, would be a 5.

One of the best fruits there is ! Peaches are very delicious alone or in pie, cobbler and other such desserts. I love a huge, juicy, plump peach. Very good...

When fresh from the market or tree, it is often crisp, with a light frangrance and sweetness, and as it ripens, it can become very soft and <i>very</i> sweet. Can be used in recipes in a variety of ways, and it is excellent while eaten fresh. While I cannot say it is my favorite fruit, it is a definite must have at least a few times a year.

Peaches rock!! They're not as good as nectarines though, which would get six stars if they could. The only thing that sucks about peaches is the fuzz. I can't bite into a peach because the fuzz irritates my lips. I have to cut the peach into sections and eat them that way.

This might sound sick to you peach fans, but I prefer them canned and not straight off the orchard tree.

I think peaches have a nice taste and pleasant texture to them. I love eating them fresh, but I don't care for them when they're canned or frozen.

Quality of peaches can vary. Juicy, sweet ones are fabulous! Peach cobbler, pie, peaches in fruit salads are good, and peach juice is pleasant. But dry peaches are nasty! A good peach candy is "Peachie-O's"!
