Sat Feb 16 2008I say that overalls are a very underrated, stereotyped piece of clothing. The first thing that comes to one's mind is the stigma they supposedly carry that seems to cry out "HILLBILLY". I choose to think that the wearers of overalls would be hard workers (yes, this is also a stereotype, but at least it's a positive one). There are some people who have been known to wear them almost every day, although I wouldn't quite go to that extent. UPDATE: I now have four pairs (and still looking). Actually, I've been wearing overalls quite a bit these days. I find them to be quite comfortable. Gotta love that handy bib pocket, too! So what if they're a bit outdated? It simply means I don't care to conform. Some are quite content that they stand out, and I'm one of them. Just think of overalls as "pants with something extra"!

Wed Apr 04 2007I love overalls but, because this list is about attractive clothing, I have to give them a low three stars, and that is being generous. Most folks don't like the overalls look. For comfort and practicality, as long as it isn't too hot out, you just can't beat overalls when you are doing hard work around the yard or shop. I imagine if I had a belly - which I don't - I would love not wearing a belt even more, but, even on my relatively trim body, the combination of no belt and chest/stomach coverage/protection can't be beat.Historically, overalls were hickory stripe for railroad workers, denim for the farm and white for painters, at least in the US. Perhaps the professor can enlighten us on Norway's practices. I find the association with hard working professions appealing and have several pairs of hickory stripes as I am a railfan and railroad modeller. As for sexy, I do think that cutoff overalls are very sexy on a woman in a Daisy Mae/Dukes of Hazard kind of way. I have always lik... Read more

Wed Apr 04 2007I am one of those people, who wear overalls every day ! I am a professor in Norway and having my bibs on when I teach, go to café, work at home etc. on Christmas eve, I have black overalls and a red bow tie ! and I would not protest to be buried in them as well. Bib overalls are just the best kind of clothes you can dream of. It is just a matter of wear them with some personality and style !

Wed Nov 01 2006If it is a cute slim chick with the new stylish tighter overalls it can make her look amazing and the right pair on any chick can add a few hot points but on the other hand if they are loose and from the 80s it can kill the looks of even a blazing hot chick!

Mon Dec 12 2005I love wearing overalls! They're sooooo comfortable and all their pockets come in handy! Also, they leave a lot to people's imagination. A pear shaped body can look like an hourglass when wearing overalls. I'm told that I'm either "cute" or sexy when I wear them =) =) =) I also love the one-size fits all. Finally, at least for me, they give me something to fiddle around with when I'm nervous or bored. I loooooove fiddling with my snaps and adjusting my straps!

Fri Apr 22 2005yeah right... for jim bob the farmer. And for all you yuppie chicks who though these were cool because Demi Moore wore them in Ghost- they weren't! They never will be. And never have been. You want to wear them and look cool? Buy a farm first.

Sun Mar 14 2004Not something I've ever worn, the straps would bother me. I've never found them attractive. Good for working outdoors.
