    This one still sounds unique to me over their more over played songs. But everything they did was very listenable.

    Definitely my favorite Yardbirds song. One of those songs I liked in my youth in an abstract sort of way, but never knew the name of. Nevertheless, it left its indelible mark upon my psyche. In recent years, I really proactively went out of my way to get a copy of it, and it wasn't as easy as you might expect. First, I had to nail down the title of it. A few complilations available on Amazon did'nt have it; I ended up getting an overpriced British compilation, but, considering how much I love the song, I can live with the pain. There was always something very eerie and mournful about this song to me; every time I hear it, I think of a deserted Egyptian landscape at night, the wind blowing the sands against desolate purple pyramids, and the ghostly, oblivious moon shining down on it all.     Have to agree with both of the previous reviewers in that this is a tremendous song. A big hit. and like all of their singles in this era, an absolutely crucial and influential tune, one that helped further the boundaries of rock music.
