Fri Dec 21 2007Ordered a SONY KDL52XBR4 52" LCD for $3199 and Free Shipping. Best Buy was $3999 and Circuit City was #3499 (On Sale this week). It said In stock, same day shipping. I ordered it on a Saturday and didn't expect it would ship until Monday. It shipped Tuesday according to the website (not surprised being the week before Christmas). The tracking number didn't work so I called Customer Service; they were extremely helpful. They told me it shipped ABFS Trucking since it was 179lbs and gave me a new tracking number. They said it would arrive at the Trucking Company on Thursday and that I would need to call them to schedule the delivery. They also told to unpack it and check for damage before signing for it and letting the driver leave. If there was any damage they told me to refuse it and call Outpost.com back immediately. I would have never thought to do that!!! When I called the Trucking Company on Wendesday they said it was already there (I live in Pittsburgh and it shipped from Dayton, O... Read more

Mon Dec 17 2007On 12/16/07, frys.com/outpost.com listed a Wii console stating "in stock, same day shipping". Today, AFTER they took my credit card and e-mail information, they tell me that it was an error... Shame on you, FRY'S!

Thu Jul 12 2007I purchased a 22" ViewSonic LCD from Outpost.com. My package arrived on time, however after using the lcd for only 2 days, I noticed a dead-pixel on the screen. I called the customer service number and asked if I can bring it to the nearest store and have it exchanged. Sadly speaking, the representative said that the supervisor told her that one dead-pixel on lcd is not considered a damage good and therefore I will need to pay the shipping fee in order to have it exchange (since at this moment their policy requires any item purchased on line MUST be exchanged in the warehouse). The supervisor can easily said that one dead pixed does not make an lcd a damage good, because it's not his/her money that his talking about. I pay over $200 for this item and has been charge a shipping fee for $18 and now they asked me to pay another shipping fee because they sent me an lcd with dead pixel. No one, who has paid $250 lcd, wants a dead pixel on it. I have used my other smaller lcd for almost two... Read more

Thu Dec 28 2006What a hoax, I ordered Windows XP which I know did NOT say upgrade on the purchase site. When I received my purchase confirmation, it listed "Upgrade". I then went to cancel the order which had already been shipped. 4 out of 5 of their 1-800 numbers did not work, the one that actually does ring, no one answers. It's booted me off after 20 minutes on the system 3 times now. No one answers the emails to customer service. A horrible experience. If I actually do receive the merchandise, I will be surprised. Thanks to my credit card company USAA, I know they'll refuse payment. FRY's SUCKS in everyway. I Hate dealing with them.

Thu Nov 18 2004I've made three orders to outpost.com.. I have never recieved an order. Beware when you are ordering a 'bargain' from their website.. it may list the item as In Stock but a few days later you'll recieve an email stating that the item is on Back Order I waited a week on a motherboard / cpu bundle before canceling the order. A few days later I ordered a $179 PC, and my order was cancelled because the price was adjusted to $279! Thinking I had a bad string of luck, I decided to give outpost one more shot.. this time a simple compact keyboard. I ordered it, (In Stock) and to my surprise (sarcasm) found the item a few days later to be on back order. At least they don't charge your credit card before they ship, or I would not be a happy camper.

Fri Sep 03 2004I have ordered thre times from outpost.com. The prices have been good and shipping was immediate on two of the orders and one item was back ordered even though it showed in stock when I placed the order. One product I recieved had been returned and arrived missing the stand. Customer service was unwilling to deal with the problem. The product I ordered last week indicated a $60 rebate. When I went to fill out the rebate form it was the wrong form. After calling customer service I found out there was actually no rebate and they were unable to do anything to rectify the problem. talked to a customer servive supervisor and he was rude. Apprently felt dealing with customers was not his job.

Sat Jun 12 2004I just received this item expecting everything that was advertised in your web site...WRONG! The item was send without the power adapter as mentioned about three times in your web page. False advertisement! Then I call the customer service and they want to charge me again before they could send me the right item. First: The customer rep. didn't know if the item was available. She blamed Creative Lab for the error. Wrong approach. I did my research before I bought this item from you guys, I knew there were two items Creative offered; with/without AC adapter. Second: How you guys are going to charge me again to send me the wright product. How I could trust you if the first time was wrong! Anyways I just let everyone I know in the VA hospital I work not to do e-mail bussiness with OUTPOST.COM were false adverstisement is the order of the day.

Mon Nov 18 2002Terrible customer service! Ordered electronic products for our company training dept. Were going to continue to use them but after getting the rude brush off from customer servce, unless they change their mind, no way. They were rude, unflexible and definately not someone that I want to continue buying from. Bummer for them - we are looking for a regular supplier of portable DVD players.

Tue Dec 19 2000I'm not quite sure how they make money, but this is a great site. I've ordered electronics from them on numerous occassions and the prices have been reasonable and shipping is overnight and FREE. And, when three Compaq computers that we ordered from them for work didn't work, UPS came to pick them up at no charge. What's not to like? My only complaint is that while you can ship the item to a different address than the billing one, you can't send it as a gift. As a result, a copy of the packing receipt (with the price) is included in the shipment. With their free shipping, I would even pay extra for this.

Thu Dec 14 2000Outpost offers free postage and handling on all purchases. The web site is easy to navigate. It is also user friendly, and very easy to purchase items. The site allows users to compare prices with other shopping websites as well.

Wed Apr 05 2000I recently purchased 3 Compaq computers through Outpost which didn't work. While this was not very impressive - what was impressive was Outpost's return policy. I was immediately able to get someone on the phone who scheduled a courier to come and pick up the bad computers from me. No hassle, no dealing with labels, going to the postoffice, etc. It makes me much more likely to order from Outpost in the future.
