Really like this product for taking the nails off my dogs. I had gotten to the point of not wanting to attempt trimming his nail with the clippers for fear of cutting the quick (did a couple of time). Now other than it tickling may dogs toes I can get it done effortlessly without pain and the blood from cutting to close. My dogs and I are all happy.

It's difficult to "start from the bottom" and work your way up (as the directions say to) without touching the dog's pads at all with the nail grinder. Also, it's nearly impossible to get the right angle to file the dewclaw. As stated previously, it takes a lot of patience. If you and your dog have got the time, I suppose you may have better luck than me. I'd rather pay $10 for the vet to trim my dog's nails than to hassle with this nail grinder again.

The retailer my order came from was very punctual & highly recommend them. The Oster dog nail grinder I don't know yet so far my dog is afraid of it & she hurt her paw chasing a squirrel so haven't forced her yet but I do like it & hope to use it often.

The Oster Nail Grinder is my saving grace! I used to hate to clip my dog's nails because I was afraid that I would hit the quick and make him bleed. Now I can stop grinding as soon as I start to see the quick! Also, my dog used to scratch me with his sharp nails after I used clippers; now, with the Grinder, they are so smooth! Cons: They do not have directions on how to use the Grinder. I had to look up directions on the internet from some random lady who made a website detailing how she used her grinder. It was frustrating at first because I had no clue what pieces to use first or at what speed. Also, the noise is NOT as quiet as a whisper. I'm not sure if it's just mine, but I found mine to be quite loud. Overall, the pros of having and using the Nail Grinder outweigh the cons. I would definitely recommend the Grinder to anyone with dogs! Keeping their nails short and smooth is easy as pie! Suggestions: If you have a large dog, wearing some sort of mask over your nose and ... Read more

I have used the nail grinder 3 or 4 times now on my Boston Terrier and it works great. It is light weight and grinds his nails down in much less time than it would take to cut them. He is not as scared of it as he was of the nail clippers. I love it. I like the fact that it just plugs in too so that I don't have to worry about batteries or the power ever dying down. Great product!
