Having lived there for a short time, I made myself sit through this film, only to have some friends make me sit through it again. This emotionally regressive movie made "The O.C." look psychologically sophisticated. The mopey performance of the unsympathetic lead, Colin Hanks (Tom Hanks's son), presents a strong argument against Hollywood nepotism.

Pretty much a stinker with lots of cameos of other actors to try to bail it out! Ladies and gentlemen, that device didn't work!

Ooooooh, you. LOOK, Jack Black is being wacky!.....................fork over your cash! WHA-WHAT, he's a stoner!? HERE, have my entire savings account! This movie sucks. I was terribly disappointed. He wants to get into Stanford, but that wacky family just keeps getting in the way! Ooooh, you. You had me at hello. Wake up people. If you talk about this with your friends, you're a dork. And for the life of me, I can't figure out what the county they live in has to do with it? Anybody? Jack Black made a funny face - HARDY f&cking; HAR! Grow up. If you wanna see a funny movie, get 'Raising arizona', 'Outside Providence' or 'Bottle Rocket' or something.

I thought Orange County was HILARIOUS. One of Jack Black's best. Me and my friends quote lines from it all the time: Sean, you're my same height. That is neat.
