Fri Feb 12 2010Worst show I've ever seen. Not funny, not believable, not interesting. Just a pile of idiots on television. If it were real I'd hate the people on the show, but since it is completely phony, I hate them (the actors) AND the channel it's on. I used to watch TRUtv almost daily. With the addition of this show, I probably go to TRUtv once every week or two. Maybe it's my fault. I assumed TRUtv was supposed to stand for "true television." Perhaps it's supposed to be interpreted as "Trashy, Redundant, Uninteresting Television." Here's a new slogan for them, "TRUtv. Not reality, not actuality, just phony junk." Pathetic show on an increasingly pathetic channel. (wanted to give 0 stars; 1 is minimum allowed).

Fri Jan 29 2010My fiance' and I absolutely LOVEEEE this show. We look forward to Monday nights. It's action-packed and, at times, very funny. I enjoy seeing the various types of vehicles they repo. This IS believable, if you have been in the police force and other similar types of careers. These things DO happen. It has a nice dose of reality. In reading the other reviews, I found out that this a 'fake' show??? I hope not. Still, it is so believeable and the actors/actresses are very good. They seem natural and nothing seems fake at all. We have seen people react this way in our careers, so I don't understand why people think it is so fake or unbelievable!! Alot of people are crazy out there and the only way you can't understand this show is if you live in a glass bubble. My favorite actress is Sonya. To be honest, when I first saw her, I wondered what planet she is from. Now, I realllly enjoy watching her. She grows on you. Once you see her personality, she is a joy to watch. I li... Read more

Mon Jan 11 2010I think this show stinks, the "actors" have no business being on air since they are horrible actors, they arent nice to watch on tv, I generally feel like barfing watching them. Its STUPID STUPID STUPID and wold strongly urge people to write OLN and whatever other channels that host this show to take it off the air!

Tue Dec 29 2009Okay, to be completely honest, i absolutely love TRUtv, but what the hell were they thinking to let such a stupid bunch of idiots have their own show? The fact that it's fake and they even have there "video diary" to act as if it is real pisses me off. It makes me believe that we are that stupid to actually believe these retarded skits. And whats up with the fat ladies eye brows??? :) Overall, i think TRUtv demoralized them selves to allow this ignorant show to continue. Love you TRUtv, but absolutely hate this dumb show...dont fire a few people from the cast, fire the entire crew and repo all there vehicles, and i hope they go bankrupt. :( Dang show pisses me off!

Mon Dec 07 2009I have giving the show a chance a few times but now i just cant get over how fake it is. Yes i know its all based on true events but like other reviews its just waaaaay to over the top. I just cant even believe the renactments. However it is really good mindless entertainment if you have time to waste and it can be really funny at times but be aware that it is all way to fake.

Mon Sep 21 2009If you've watched the show "Operation Repo" on the truTV cable channel, you've probably wondered if it's real or fake. After all, a repo man could get sued (or even arrested) for laying a hand on a debtor or pepper spraying them without just cause. While there's little definitive information on the Internet about whether or not Operation Repo is real, here are three facts that may indicate the show is fake: Fact #1 - Repo Men Cannot Breach the Peace Putting people in headlocks, shoving people and otherwise engaging in confrontational behavior is against the law. Most repo agents never resort to such extreme measures to repossess vehicles. If they do, they can be held civilly and criminally liable for their actions. Keep in mind TV - and especially "reality TV" - is supposed to entertain people. It's exaggerated. Most repossessions go-down with little trouble. People already know they're behind on payments, so they're not surprised when the repo man comes for their car. Profes... Read more

Tue May 05 2009THIS SHOW IS A WORK OF FICTION They get around that by saying it's "based on real events" (yeah in someone's overactive imagination) The show is 100% scripted, all the people are actors. That's why everything is so over the top. Real repo agents hate this show. The writers admit it's all fake and there are disclaimers at the start of the show now. Worst kind of television marketing, 99% of the time people don't make a huge fuss, and 99% of the time if they make a HUGE fuss repo agents just leave. This show is garbage. Once you know it's fake and you watch it,...it's really obvious. To bad the writers suck so bad that they have to "fake you out" to get you to watch. Of course it does suck, but once you know it's fake it sucks even more,.. so I guess I see why they do it.

Sat Apr 11 2009I look forward to the new episodes every monday night! Pretty good reality show actually, I wasn't aware of the channel it was on, I stumbled onto it looking for an episode of cops. It is so ridiculous how obsessive people get over their cars. One of my favorite episodes is of a guy that gets his Hummer taken away and he got pepper sprayed over it! I laugh at every single driver that makes a big deal out of their cars getting repossessed. Some are pretty nice and understanding but some people, oh my god it is so stupid! Most of them are people with expensive sports cars and all that and are more than three payments behind. If you can't afford the car don't get it! Not a show for everyone but for me, it is hilarious! If you like cops shows like cops or Disorderly conduct then you might just like this! Once again not for everyone.

Wed Mar 25 2009I deplore the whole reality-TV genre-- "Real World", "Rock of Love", "Tool Academy", "Surreal Life", "Road Rules", "Survivor", etc.--- but there are a very few entries-- "The First 48", "Intervention"-- that do seem to deal on some level with genuine issues, problems and occupations, and I do find some of them interesting, at least for awhile. Then there's "Operation Repo". I sort of stumbled across it in my search for "No Reservations" or Andrew Zimmern consuming goat testicles in Beijing, and had to watch. "Repo Men" do exist, their occupation does seem fraught with peril and danger, and, like a rubber-necker passing a 5-car collision on the freeway, I couldn't turn away. Soon, though, and I mean very soon, the program wore out it's welcome-- at least for me it did. Even in the best of these "reality" shows, there's always going to be a certain amount of contrivance and manipulation in order to increase dramatic tension and/or confrontation, but everything about "Operation Repo" seem...
