The park was among the more hideous ones in recent memory, and I recall that when interleague play began, there were many, many more Red Sox fans in attendance than Expos fans, as New England is not very far from Montreal really...actually, screw the description of the park. I'd just like to express my astonishment that no morons have talked about FRAUG CHESE EATIN' MYMES on this listing of a defunct team's stadium, knock on wood...

I'm so glad that the Expos left Montreal just so I won't have to watch another game in this disgrace of a baseball stadium. This was a total dump. It's between this and Tropicana Field for the worst I've ever seen.

Beyond nasty. Now that the team is gone, about ready to crumble into the dust.

Oppy187, forget about not saying anything good, I think my tour guide avoided it on purpose! Must be a disgrace to Montrealers. Something about a roof malfunction? I heard they're moving to Washington D.C..

There are two pieces of good news... 1. The Expos are so little loved that you can sit 15 rows back, immediately behind home plate, for less than $10 Canadian. That's a $50 ticket just about anywhere else. 2. This is the last season for baseball in Montreal. The bad news is plentiful. The fans have no idea what's going on. They actually boo pretty much every time a Montreal pitcher's pitch is called a ball. There are often fewer than 5,000 of them. The concessions are a joke. The place is falling apart. It has actually had to be closed a number of times due to a leaky roof or falling concrete. It's dank and dingy inside... This could go on for quite some time. So I'll keep it simple. STAY AWAY.

I think they should get out of Montreal all together. Not only does Olympic park suck, but have you seen the deigns for Labott Park? This city is a disgrace to baseball. I think the stadium is neat from the outside, but the games aren't played there. I think it is worse than the vet.

This stadium is an architectural curiosity, and as such, is fascinating: what was considered so "futuristic" and grandiose 27 years ago seems quaint and naive today. The ballpark is also fairly decrepit, glacial, ill-suited for baseball and has the feel of a shopping mall. However, the seats are adequately comfortable, the sight lines are OK, the playing field dimensions favor the pitcher, the playing surface makes for a fast ground game, and the dead air afforded by the dome results in a less-than-typical amount of home runs. Great place for a pitchers' duel. The food is better than most ballparks (you can get viande fumee and poutine here, naturally) and the beer is far superior to the wee-wee that comes out of the pipes in U.S. stadia. Located in an out-of-the-way neighborhood, but easy to get to. The fans are quieter than their American counterparts (which is not at all bad considering how boorish and ill-mannered most U.S. fans are), but knowledgeable, and the perhaps 8,000 ... Read more

Well I have been to a few stadiums myself and YES! The stadium needs some work, but If they were to renovate it a little like the paint and fix that dead roof then it would bring some life to the Big O!

As far as the seats go, they are really good or extremely bad. Sounds louder on TV than is does in real life.

I've been to Fenway, Tiger Stadium, and this place. How different could they be the big "O" is a hyge concrete doughnut with absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever! The place looks ugly from the outside with the green color coming off the roof and the walls on the outside have water damage. The team is a joke and you can count every fan in the place on most nights. This place has been a disaster from the start, the roof wasn't completed until 10 years after its opening and never worked right, the city is still paying for the place. During my tour the guide couldn't come up with 5 good things to say about the place. The coolest thing about the place is the car that rides up to the inclined tower to an observation deck which overlooks such a beautiful city. Plans for Labatt Park the supposed to be new park of the team have dried up so look for the Expos to move to a new city quickly.

Cold and unemotional -- not a good combination for baseball.
