Old Milwaukee hasn't won numerous awards at the Great American Beer Festival over the past years for nothing. This stuff is very good and holds its own against ANY other mass-produced American-style lager. No, it's not high-priced. That means that it is much cheaper that Miller Genuine Draft, Budweiser, Coors, etc. You can pay $13.99 for a suitcase of OM or pay $18.99 for a case of Bud or Coors. But, it's just as good, if not better, than those. Try it! RJT

If you sent this to a lab for analysis, the report would read:Your crocodile has syphilis.

This red and white can is a familiar figure in my childhood. It was my dad and uncle's beer of choice. I imagine this was because of the price because there is no way anyone could vouch for this beer's taste. It is even worse than PBR (made by the same brewery).

I saw a delivery truck with the Old Milwaukee logo and a slogan something like "America's Best Tasting Beer". I doubled over in laughter and then shuddered at the remembrance of just how bad this beer tastes. Milwaukee's Best is a much better beer at the same price, and it's not anything fancy.

Back when this was Schlitz brewed it was their second level beer and was quite good. Haven't seen it in the Northwest in a long time.

I drank 4 cases of this stuff in 6 days when I had to strip paint off a house. After drinking this, I probably could've pissed on the paint to remove it instead of burning and scraping. Frankly, I think it's better than Busch.

I never drank much or any of the beer, but I did admire the Swedish Bikini Team that advertised the product for many years. (click on image for larger view)

It's gets two stars because when I was in college I used to drink .99 cent 16oz Old Milwaukee from Circle K. Bad beer that was too watery , but it's beer.

There are alot of different types of cheap beer that I can drink whenever I get hammered and not seem to mind so much... BUT, I don't care how drunk I am, when it comes to Old Milwaukee. This stuff is the absolute worst tasting crap EVER!!!

Horrible ghetto college beer. . .all I can think of is (1) the bad taste and (2) hauling those kegs down the steps. . .just awful memories all around.

My father used to drink this stuff when we went sailing. Whenever we motored back into the marina, he would drop his shorts and moon everyone on the docks. That's my Old Milwaukee memory.

Yes, I've had it. No, I'm not proud of it. It's one of those scrape the change out the ash tray buys from back in the days of high school when it just didn't matter - it was beer.

UPDATE ! I have decided to rate this one over again, as I used some wrong word choices in my previous rating. I still think it is nasty, and yes it still reminds me of the older alcoholics I knew as a child. Hell, the smell of this nasty swill reminds me of that sewer smell...yucko ! HOWEVER, when I said Old Milwaukee is a beer that could cause domestic violence I was being unfair by naming a brand. I think ALL alcohol could contribute to this area in life. If you are a violent person, alcohol is probably not the best thing you could drink. And this is not limited to just Old Milwaukee.

Old swill. Not the best tasting but not real bad either. Real cheap, and a decent alcholhol volume.

I have no idea how I used to drink this stuff like it was going out of style back when I was in high school. I understand that high school kids would drink anything, but the smell of OM these days almost makes me wretch. That commerciual that says that this is the best beer in the USA according to some judges is such a crock of crap.
