Sat Dec 18 2010Absolute garbage. I was an avid user of Nyquil for my flu symptoms, that is until they changed the formula after the 2006 amphetamine act. I than found that I could get the original formula behind the pharmacy desk as Nyquil D. I was satisfied until I found that Nyquil discontinued the manufacture of it again. Way to go Proctor and Gamble, I will not be purchasing any P&G products anymore.

Tue Oct 26 2010nyquil is a product created by the creator of the universe who (after creating nyquil) chose a human being to be infused with teh scientific knowledge of how to create a product (nyquil) the common man could consume by purchasing from any given store and be alleviated from all the symptoms of the common cold. god bless nyquil and i will hunt down anyone in its opposition.

Fri Oct 09 2009This stuff works wonders, makes me sleepy very fast, although the taste is SOO bad that it makes me want to throw up. The taste is absoutely awful. Words cannot describe it. I highly recommend taking the Liquicaps! It works just as good.

Wed Nov 05 2008It does work, but it buuuurrrrns going all the way down. I don't know whether I want to suffer with the cold or have discomfort in my stomach.

Tue Nov 04 2008"Hi, I'm John McCain, I might need some NyQuil (catches bottle thrown by Joe the Plumber), so I can fall asleep tonight."
by tbooth001
Thu Feb 28 2008I find that NyQuil is one of the best night time cold medicines you can take. When I use this I will take it about 1 hour before bed and when I go to be I get a good night sleep for at least 6 hours. It helps clear up my nose and keeps me from coughing all night and also reduces my fever. For the most part I always feel better in the morning due to getting some sleep because I took this medicine.

Sun Feb 17 2008If it's not going to work, it could at least knock my a** out long enough to sleep through the suffering --- doesn't even do THAT much for me.

Sat Jan 13 2007although it is pretty nasty tasting if i want a pretty good nights sleep, this stuff is good at getting me through the night. I use it for a few nights until the worst of it is over. good for over the counter.

Tue Dec 26 2006This is the only product that helps a cold and the next morning I actually feel much better. Someone told me they have recently taken out an ingredient--I hope not because this really works for me.

Thu Dec 21 2006This stuff works wonders... but it does leave a disgusting taste in your mouth... from my experience, if you chase your 2 TBS of NyQuil with some pretzle sticks the taste disapears. Magic... : )

Mon Dec 12 2005I expected to take the pill and feel sleepy within the hour but for me, the effect was more like once I got to sleep, I didn't wake up six times needing to blow my nose or drink some water. Its great for me because when I get sick, I dont have trouble with coughing, I have trouble breathing through my nose. So I breathe through my mouth and it makes my throat really dry. So it keeps me sleeping nicely for at least 9 or 10 hours. (unless my dog jumps on my head...then I'm on my own)

Tue Sep 20 2005This is great stuff to take when you have a cold, only thing is you are going to go to sleep real quick.

Sat Jun 18 2005Does the trick. Don't plan on doing anything for quite some time after taking it, however.

Tue Dec 07 2004When I have a bad cold or flu and I can't sleep, I depend on this stuff. It REALLY makes you drowsy within 5 minutes of taking it, yet you don't feel groggy the next day. Only complaint is that the taste could seriously be improved, but hey, the worse the taste the better it works...

Mon Nov 01 2004NyQuil doesn't do a thing for me. Maybe my body just got used to it because it used to work. Now it just makes me so tired but it doesn't help my cold symptoms. I spend the night mad because I am so tired but I can't get any sleep because I'm couging constantly.
by jakemr33
Sat Oct 30 2004Nyquil is good, but I usually wake up feeling a little groggy. But it does usually do the trick.

Mon Mar 01 2004Before I was introduced to narcotic cold remedies by my doctor...I would say this was a 5 star cold medicine. But when comparing to prescription cold remedies..it falls flat...can't give it more than 2 stars...

Mon Mar 01 2004Great stuff, as long as you don't have any, and I mean any, plans for the evening. Denis Leary has a great bit on NyQuil that makes me laugh evertime I hear it.

Sat Mar 22 2003When I get a bad cold, Nyquil is my choice to try to get some sleep at night and not be kept awake with the sneezing and coughing.
by boof2danug
Sat Mar 01 2003if you want to sleep all night take this stuff. i have tried the liquid version but i almost throw up. the liquid gels are great and they knock you out just as well. the best stuff out there!
by cryswolftears
Sun Feb 23 2003I am one that always keeps a bottle of NyQuil in my cabnet just in case... With most cold and flu symptoms, it helps relieve them during the night! Although if you have alot of chest congestion and major coughing, it helps... but I have found other products that help alot better with the major coughs & congestion.

Thu Dec 19 2002I love this green goo, it really helps me sleep. Does anyone know of any side effects from contiouos use? I'd appreciate hearing from someone. Thanks !
by bigassham
Tue Dec 10 2002Good ol' NyQuil. If you feel like poo, and you really need to sleep, this is a guaranteed knock-out. I take it a couple of hours before I want to fall asleep. While the pills are nice, I recommend the original green liquid...because it is a rite of passage!
by dragonshroom
Tue Nov 26 2002Nyquil is the Greatest Pill known to man ... well besides merniol but thats another story ... If I wanna sleep, I take like 6 or 7 Nyquil and I am Out for a few days. This stuff really messes u up I love it ... I take it everynight!!!!
by r_mitchell
Mon Nov 25 2002Best described as the sniffling, sneazing, coughing, how in the hell did I end up on the bathroom floor medicine.
by lukskywlkr
Thu Oct 31 2002It will make you feel a lot better and let you sleep and sleep and sleep, but you do have to choke this nasty stuff down.
by the_waffler
Thu Oct 25 2001Nyquil is highly effective, but not as enjoyable as Thera-flu. If you want tasty tea-like medicine, drink Thera-flu. If you don't care, Nyquil rocks.

Thu Oct 25 2001NyQuil always works for me when I'm sick. It allows me to sleep through the night and I feel a lot better the next day.
by wiggum
Thu Mar 22 2001I don’t know if anyone else has this problem with NyQuil, but after I take it I can’t really fall asleep. Yes I get really tired, and I drop off into a kind of half-sleep, but I’m tossing and turning for hours. It does temporarily remove my cold symptoms, but if I can’t get any rest, what’s the point? NyQuil seems to work fine for other people, but I stay away from it.

Mon Jan 22 2001This stuff kicks ass. Try not to mix it with alcohol though, you might find it difficult to operate heavy machinery.
by siggal
Thu Jan 11 2001Does it's job but at the same time knocks me out! Sometimes I even feel drowsy in the morning when I wake up. Don't drive while taking it.
by champion68
Thu Jan 11 2001The best medicinal product for cold and flu because it will knock you out cold and the next morning you will feel great. Everytime I get a cold I double my dose just to make sure I feel better the next day.
by kudosc55
Mon Jan 08 2001This worked well to allow me to sleep. My runny, stuffy nose didn't bother me when I tried to sleep. However, it shouldn't be taken in the day to avoid drowsiness.
by starry_eyes_828
Mon Jan 08 2001I was sick this past summer and NyQuil helped me greatly. It gave me lots of energy to do what I needed to do for the day and made me feel better.
by slimm_goody
Mon Dec 18 2000I don't like NyQuil. It's true it's the nighttime, sniffing, sneezing, achy cold medicine but this product is too strong. It knocks you right out and you don't hear, or know what is going on around you. Not good.
by fredericko
Thu Nov 30 2000I give NyQuil a 4 because when you're stuffy, coughing and flu-like, this helps you feel better and most importantly, let's you sleep. It really does! When having trouble with sleeping, this is good at night.
by ivock2e7
Fri Nov 24 2000This is also a great cold and flu medication. Nyquil allows me to get a better nights sleep. I won't wake up at night sniffing or coughing. This is a great product.
by ppeaches
Tue Nov 21 2000This is good as a last resort medicine, knocks you out for at least 8 hours, so don't plan on getting up during that time. You wake up groggy but it is better than no sleep at all.
by karaoke
Mon Nov 20 2000Awful taste. It isn't that effective and you must take a strong dose to see the effects. It makes you feel drowsy without relieving your symptoms.
by chismosa55
Tue Oct 31 2000NyQuil works really well and so does DayQuil but I don't like the liquid kind. It is best in the gel cap form.
