LA is bomb.I mean sure there is annoying traffic.NY seems rude and messy (love your accents though).First there is way to many stereotypes about us. Not all of us do you yoga. I don't like avocados you can bash on those. You guys act like we are at the beach all the time,it's fun but it gets crowded cuz there is to many tourists. We are not hippies that's NorCal. We are also not superficial sure there are some people who think there all cool, but we hate on them just as much as you do. Hollywood is just another city for us,we don't see famous people walking down the street 24/7. You think we are healthy, there is a Mcdonalds and Jack in the box on every street. People from LA don't really look at your appearance they study your attitude. You could be ugly as hell but if your cool your cool. You can be good looking but if your snobby and rude and complain about every single little thing your pretty much being murdered in our head. We love to have fun unlike NY who seems like all they do ... Read more

alize513. you're a fuckin bitch. take some pride in your country instead of taking a tragic event that occured in AMERICA and making it seem like they deserved it. you have no idea what it was like in nyc at the time, but you are so damn dizzy and oblivous that you are only out for yourself. i love cali, but the east coast is where it's at.

1st off, I live in San Francisco so i'm healthier and better than both of you =) Los Angeles does have alot of little drive-ins that dominate the scenery. I feel like everything is a strip mall down there. They do have excellent food in LA but you have to know where to go. Even delis such as Langers and Canter's are world renowed. i guess you just have to know where to go where it's more in your face when your walking down the street in New York, SF, or Boston or any other walking city. The smog is unforgiveable. it's so bad in San Bernardino i used to gag coming from Palm Springs.  I like hot weather so the LA beaches are very fun and a great place to meet up with people, do things. New york is a great center for culture. One thing it has over LA are it's great Monuments with the Statue of Liberty, Chrysler building, ETC. there is nothing in LA to show you it's LA except that stupid sign you cant even see when it's smoggy. But New york is too stessful and expects too much of you im my... Read more

LA sucks.  People are fucking assholes, they're lazy, they have no character, they have no culture, there's no history, and no architecture, and at least New York has a river that actually has water in it.  The best decision of my life was when I left my hometown, LA, I'm ashamed to say, to move to New York.  I will never leave New York to go back to LA.  LA is a disgrace to America.

I think NYC has a healthier lifestyle. You are walking all the time! Being out in the fresh air, mingling with people, these are great things. I like the idea of LA, but every time I go there I'm amazed at the long ugly streets of auto part stores, Jack in the Boxes and taco stands. It feels as if it's all commercial, with little emotional vibrancy. New York is so exciting, you always feel as if there's a wind at your back and you're propelled to do greater things than you could have imagined. People are so creative here, so alive, everybody's constantly taking classes, going to lectures with Nobel laureates, writing novels, thinking new thoughts. Surprising, amazing, beautiful, historical breathtaking New York, it is the jewel of our country!

LA has scenery, beaches, mountains, and weather which are all great but as a CITY New York has way more substance. Even though LA has nice scenery, the infrastructure and never ending sprawl is ugly. NY is way more dynamic and is walkable and cities are a lot more enjoyable from a pedestrian point of view as opposed to sitting in traffic on freeways and strip mally boulevards. NY has deli's and ton's of mom and pop restaurants that have been in business for years, LA has multitudes of drive through Taco joints. Clearly the food is better in New York and the people are a lot more interesting as well. I wouldn't live in either place but to visit I have to say New York is a lot more stimulating. When it comes to sunshine and palm trees I can find better places to go than LA.

Comparing apples and oranges. New York is your classic major city, the heartbeat of the planet. Massive skyscrapers, plenty to do, no need for a car. People of NY are not necessarily jerks, it's just that everyone's so involved in their own life that they tend to ignore mostly everything. People of LA are similar in that regard but are more laid back. It's the weather, which to me is the kicker. It's tough to get around LA w/out a car but the 60-90 degree temperatures make LA a no brainer in my book.

New York is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. On the other hand I do live in Los Angeles.

how many football teams does LA have? Dodger fans show up late and leave early. I can assure you a New Yorker will beat your ass for his seat up until the last at bat. Please this is a no brainer. New York never sleeps. LA needs a snooze alarm.

I hear you about NYC, being able to do more things and places staying open longer, but as someone who has lived both in NY and LA, I think LA is a much healthier lifestyle overall...and there is just as much to do there...things just don't stay open as long, but people just go out earlier then...and the weather, beaches, mountains, and overall scenery just can't be beat!

Simple its most definitly NYC. New York is bigger better and its not 900 degrees every day. NYC has many great sections all with its own greatness.
