Been going to Nurture for over 6 years. Consistently great haircuts, even tho I have difficult curly hair. Color is natural and gentle to hair and scalp. Owner Susan is always looking for ways to improve on an already excellent experience for clients. On-street parking is easy. They also do bridal groups, ladies night out, etc.

If you have thick hair, I would reccomend going somewhere else.

I have been going to Susan at Nurture for the past three years and since I switched, I have received more compliments on my cut and color than ever before. The staff at Nurture makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door and makes sure you are completely happy before you leave. The spa services are also fabulous and I highly recommend a pedicure with Danielle. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else.

Since the opening of the new salon I have loved going to Nurture. Kerri does my hair and the color has never been more perfect, I'm always getting compliments. She does a fabulous job! All the girls are just wonderful and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. I enjoy it when I go there, you are always made to feel welcomed. Kathleen Wright

I have been having my hair done at Nurture since they opened. I have moved to the North Shore and still look forward to my monthly appointment there. When you visit Nurture the atmosphere is friendly and up beat, you are graciouslly welcomed and treated like royalty. Susan Devlin (principal) is my stylist and she always does a fantastic job, she gives an excellent cut, NEVER too much off. One time I forgot to schedule an appointment and she met me and opened the shop to do my hair for a special occasion. And I know I am not the only one. Susan cares about her clients first. She has "nurtured" her business to its elegant day spa status. I know that she is working hard to ensure that all of her team is as friendly and accomodating as she is. Growing a business is tough and she is doing a fantastic job. Her stylists are sent to ongoing trainings in NY City to learn the latest and greatest styling and coloring techniques. Plus she throws a holiday gala that is to die for ( collecti... Read more

This is one of the best salons I've been to. I live in the Back Bay and still choose to go to Nurture instead of anywhere else, because of the amazing service and great value. The specialist, Kris, is the most incredible manicurist that you'll find. Top Notch!!

I've been to alot of different places over the last few years. This is definitely the most beautiful salon, where you feel comfortable with an ethereal atmosphere. It is so clean. No one talks inappropriately. The stylists are very professional not to mention beautiful. They were very organized. ( I kinda think it's good that their running a bit late-that just goes to show you how busy they are. You wait 6 months for the best doctor, right?) I had a cut and color. The prices were much less that nearby salons and done perfectly. They consulted with me and made me feel 100% comfortable with what "we" decided to do. Susan said to me ..."We don't want to hear "um ,yeah , it's nice...it's good " We want to hear " I love IT!" That's our goal and if not we'll make sure to get there." I can't say enough...there's no other stylist for me...

I have been going here for a few months. Angela was my regular stylist, but now she is gone and they wouldn't tell me where, which is annoying. The receptionist isn't all that friendly either. I still like the products they use, the general atmosphere of the salon, and some of the services I use there, but it isn't as great as it was a few months ago.

This new salon in Southie is a fantastic find! Despite my ambivalence about my hair color and cut- Mandy figured out exactly what I wanted! She was amazing!!! The best highlight job I've ever gotten - so blended and natural looking - she is a pro! I haven't been this happy with a salon in a very long time! The price is also right on. I'll be a regular!

I have always hated my thick curly hair. IfI wore it curly it would be too frizzy and if I wore it straight it would look too "bushy". Thanks to Angela and her skill with the dry cut, my hair falls naturally with no effort, something that has never happened before. When I wear my hair curly I receive numerous compliments and when I wear it straight, nobody can believe that I have naturally curly locks. My color is such a natural, shiny and warm brunette that it is impossibe to tell that I even color my hair. Thanks Angela!!

Recently expanded, this salon save my hair. Angela is a doll who gave me a great cut and let me know how to fix a mucked up color job. They are working to expand service with mani/pedi and massage. The interior is gorgeous and the staff the most friendly I have ever encountered in Boston. Double bonus in that they didn't try to sell me on a single product. I tried it on a chance and they won my business for the long term!
