Wed Apr 05 2006Not bad when Ronald Reagan played. Don't tell me it was a movie. It seemed so real. Well at least Sean Austin was a real Gold Domer.

Tue Feb 21 2006Ultimate CFB atmosphere

Mon Jan 30 2006Who rates a stadium by it's facade? "Design crew please" is a phrase for Extreme Makeover, not football. THE best college atmosphere I have witnessed, period. Joining ND stadium for sheer feeling would be Penn State, Michigan...and...that's about it. No commercials, no ads, no signage. Perfect.

Tue Aug 23 2005Over-rated, just like their team. Arrogance breeds complacency, and there is no better example than Notre Dame. Old, worn-out, outdated facilities are defended by using words like tradition and hallowed. Yet those words allow an average football program to be the only independent program in the country with a chance at getting a BCS berth every year. I guess as long as they're allowed to live in the past, and weak-minded people continue to jump on their bandwagon, things are just peachy in South Bend.

Sat Aug 20 2005How much sense can anyone who stands up for an entire game have?

Thu Aug 18 2005The best venue in college football. It was renovated in 1997 and now holds 80,000. Notre Dame Stadium and the Notre Dame campus is the best place to watch college football. The tradition, the tailgating, the friendy ushers, the campus setting, all speak of class, style and tradition. Anyone who hasn't seen a game there is missing out.

Wed Aug 17 2005Hello?! Just b/c your football history is so old doesn't mean your stadium needs to look like it was built by a bunch of cavemen. Can I get a renovation crew here, please?!

Sat Aug 06 2005One of the most obnoxious places to play - even the ushers spit on the opposing players.

Wed Mar 16 2005Great football atmoshphere! Plenty of things to do on game weekend: Friday night pep rally (every home game), college football hall of fame, trumpets in the bookstore Friday night, Trumpets in the golden dome (saturday afternoon), band on step and walk to stadium, players exit from mass, and plenty of tailgating! We could use some more wins now! GO IRISH!

Wed Mar 09 2005The House that Rock built. No jumbotron, old style seats, chalk-lined endzones...it's all what makes this stadium the best in college football.

Sat Feb 05 2005I don't like Notre Dame, but this is a great historical stadium, I like the Golden Dome and Touchdown Jesus in the background, hopefully I can visit one day.

Sat Aug 14 2004Notre Dame is the greatest stadium in America. The history and tradition combined with the history of Knute Rockne is great. A documentary about this stadium is available at greatstadiums.com

Thu Aug 12 2004College football Mecca. Was there to watch Oklahoma/ND in '99. Great fans, gameday atmosphere and the stadium is spotless. Historic.

Wed Aug 11 2004Notre Dame Stadium teems with history and tradition. The campus is a sight to behold, and Touchdown Jesus is very imposing figure. I had the opportunity to go there in 1990, when Penn State traveled to South Bend to play the #1 ranked Irish. The 'Nits won on a last-second field goal. The stadium was memorable.

Wed Jul 07 2004Great Place. The only place I've been with a better atmosphere for a football game than The Shoe. That stadium, and the atmosphere inside it is awe-inspiring. Too bad the team is soo bad now.

Tue Jul 06 2004I hate the Irish, but I've got to give it to them. This is the best venue in college football by far. More tradition than most other stadiums combined and I've seen my share. Gosh I'm getting sick sucking up to the irish...
by ousooners1895
Sat Jun 19 2004just to much tradition to give it anything less then a 4, when you think of notre dame you almost have to put them in the same category of the ny yankees, even when notre dame is losing they still are the most wacth team on tv, although i wish it was my sooners.

Thu Jun 03 2004AMAZING plus rudy rules, and this is coming from a wvu fan!

Tue Mar 30 2004I've been to every stadium in the Big 10 and numerous throughout the country... band=overrated team=overrated fans=lazy, uninspired atmosphere, experience=second to none This one place every fan MUST catch a game. I like nothing more than seeing Notre Dame lose. I didn't see them score a point last year, 37-0 at Michigan and 38-0 at home to Florida State. But the tradition, the aura that is Notre Dame cannot be missed.

Mon Mar 22 2004Rudy Sucks!

Tue Mar 02 2004Stadium is ok. Nothing like Tiger Stadium. Not even in the same league.

Wed Feb 18 2004I'm an Irish fan and I'm soooooo glad that MSNBC says that this stadium is one of the very best- Cheer for ol' Notre Dame!

Mon Jan 26 2004Beautiful campus setting, great atmosphere. The only knock is the four inch wide seats, I can't imagine being comfortable during a cold game.

Thu Aug 28 2003Just simply the best place you could ever want to watch a game. The CLASSIC stadium! The grounds are beautiful, and with Touchdown Jesus overlooking the stadium, you know that the Irish will win! GOOOOO IRISH!
