Crappy game system with pretty bad graphics compared too XBOX 360 and PS3. It's fun if you're a kid or an old person, but I'm not. Bring back the regular Nintendo System please.

I bought it for my friends and classmate, and is a great success! I'm not really a big fan of video games in general, but with the snow in winter is hard to do things inside and found the kids had a blast because all sports! They had a technical problem with one of the phones so that only four stars, but the exchange is updated. I would not be a fan of most games, but such as to promote physical activity are great fun for kids of all ages as well as us adults!

My wife and I ordered this for our niece and nephew and it is a HUGE hit! I am not a real big fan of video games in general but with the snowy winters it's hard to find stuff to do indoors and the kids had a blast doing all the sports! They did have a glitch with one of the handsets so only giving it 4 stars but the replacement is holding up. I wouldn't be a fan of a lot of the games but those that promote physical activity are a lot of fun for kids of all ages and us adults too!

The system is very good, it is better than Gamecube selectivity available like online, playing Virtual Console, and better controls.

Last Saturday was the first time I played with this console and the first comment I have to say is that the right side of my body, from hip to shoulder is sore. My friend and I played for hours (I'm not going to say how many hours because it's somehow embarrasing) The console came with the Wii sport package. We played every game (Tennis, Bowling, Baseball, Golf and Boxing). My favorite games were Bowling and Golf. I love that your movements are transfered almost simultaneously and almost fairly to the game. It makes games hard, competitive, and fun! It's very hard to be solid and make good plays overtime and it's also very likely to fail. We had a lot of fun and we can't wait to have all our friends playing together. I want to see how it is to play with 5 other guys after a good session of food, beer, and Black Label!

The Nintendo Wii is a great family gaming system. That does mean it may not be ideal for serious gamers (and other reviews on here tell me I'm probably right); however, do note that if you're into old-school Nintendo (my husband fits in this category), you can wirelessly download many of these games onto your Wii (for a small price, usually under $10). If you're into playing with your family or with a bunch of friends, I think you'll love the Wii. Our family is into the highly interactive games, such as Wii Sports and Wii Play (and we'll be getting EA Sports Active soon), so the innovative design of this gaming system with the motion sensor remotes is great for us. The reason why I bought my Nintendo WII was because of Punch-Out. The graphics of the WII games don't appear to be any better than the graphics of the GameCube games. The graphics of GameCube's Animal Crossing and the graphics of WII's Animal Crossing look the same. The GameCube has fantastic graphics but when a new video game console comes out, it should have better graphics than the previous one. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that the WII sucks. It is a good game system. One thing that makes it better is that it's not only a WII. It's a GameCube too. Every GameCube game will play in the WII. But the WII's controller and memory cards aren't compatible with GameCube games. You have to use the GameCube's controller and memory cards. I give the Nintendo WII a 4 star rating.

The Wii had potential but that died the second Nintendo decided to appeal to everyone rather than gamers. Nintendo tries to replace a controller with a motion sensor remote. For most of the games,the Wii controls are either very bad or the sensor never keeps up with the movement. For a new age system,the graphics haven't really improved much.This is hard to overlook when you could be playing games with amazing graphics on other consoles. There are barely any good games.Most of them are very childish or are only good for parties. The online is really crappy.Most games will lag up or lose connection.Another weird thing is that most games have no way to search for active games.You actually need to know the person you want to play against and add their friend code. i guess this is what you get with free internet. The Wii is just not worth having unless you are into strictly Nintendo brand games...

this is the system of this generation that i have and i would honestly say it is not that good. mostly due to the fact that not many good games come out for it. it is mostly a fun thing with friends for like at a party or somthing

BEST GAME SYSTEM IN FOREVER!!!! I'm so addicted to Mario Kart!!!

What the Wii lacks in power or graphics, is more than made up for in it's smoothness and ease of use. Xbox games for example although graphically superior, are sometime choppy and awkward. The brilliance of the Wii is the universality of it, the family-friendliness, and like I said, it's easy to use and the game-play of the software is always smooth.

I've never been a video game player, until recently the sum total of my experience was playing Pong all night once in 1979 or 80.  But this is the system that my kids play on and I can attest that it is sophisitcated enough to hold their interest and dumbed down enough to enable an olf fart like myself to do something with them, like bowling, playing tennis or shooting pool.  It's not life changing or anything but I've had a little bit of fun on it.

I honestly don't care for the Nintendo Wii.  I tried it a couple of years ago at a shopping mall when it had just come out.  I knew I probably looked like an idiot but anyway maybe if I had one in my home then it would be a different story.  I do remember reading in the paper that the Wii is even popular among senior citizens......something the Nintendo Power Pad could ever accomplish.

the Wii is industry-changing and highly engaging for a wide audience. Its popularity should lead Nintendo onto even greater things in the future, which is pretty exciting. It's perfect for me because it's highly intuitive (obviously depending upon the game). I'm not a big fan of investing a lot of effort into learning how to play video games, honestly. The Wii is great for parties, too. I haven't really met anyone who didn't enjoy it at least a little bit :) even people who were originally the harshest critics. Genius!

The greatest system yet!

Attention Golfers, this in not a stock holder in Tiger Woods 2008, but wish I was.  This game is a lot of fun.  I've just played the Tiger Cup Challenge and made it up to play Tiger Woods.  We had a pretty intense match that went into a tie breaker.  After two holes of tying, the wind got a hold of my 2 second shot and took it off the cliff.  Needless to say, I'll play a rematch soon.  The Fed-Ex Cup and PGA Tour are also very cool.  As you play, you earn prize money (for the game only, no real money...so don't get too excited).  You can purchase clothing, clubs, etc.  The better you get, the more sponsors will want to sign you up as well.  I almost failed to mention that you can customize your player (avatar).  Just too much fun to mention.  It may take some getting used to, but after playing Wii Golf and realizing that you cannot realistically swing the club, this game gives you the ability to really swing amongst other cool features.  Get the Nerf accessory with the golf club and yo... Not only is it the least expensive and easiest to use, but it has games which can rival the other two systems in sheer fun factor, and surpass them in my opinion. Smash Bros. Brawl is enough of a reason if you're a Nintendo fan. But if you absolutely need hardcore graphics and lots of guns, obviously this is not the system for you. If you want games to just be fun and not consume your life, then this is a good choice. It also has free online multiplayer and virtual console which are huge advantages to me since I'm not the CEO of a Fortune 500 company.

I really like the Wii in the few hours I've had to play with one.

It's OK, but it seems like more of a novelty item than a console designed for really good games. I'll admit that the Wii sports games can be pretty fun in a party situation though.

The Nintendo Wii is AWESOME! Everyone that comes over loves to play it. Definitely the game system to get if you want both guys & gals to interact! Everyone has fun. If you wanna impress hard core gamers, X-Box or PS3. If you wanna watch movies, get a PS3. If you want a game system that is great for parties & having guests over, get a Wii.

a cool idea, and a cool system for the most part.  yeah, with today's technology you would expect to be able to have the movement-detecting controller AND good graphics, but it doesn't seem as though that was even close to being a concern.  The sports games are fun, as they are simple enough for me to play with my little cousin, or to even play with my parents (who haven't played anything since the original mario bros). but i'm interested to see what some more mature games would be like.

It's a workout.  Boxing is especially fun, and after a few rounds I had worked up a sweat.  The thing is smart enough to detect uppercuts vs. body blows, and the vibrating controller adds a really cool element.  I also played golf which was cool as well, thought not as much fun as boxing.  In order to play head to head boxing with your friend, you have to buy an extra controller.

If they do lightsaber combat like they are discussing, count me in...

Having played the three next-gen systems, it's obvious I made the right choice in buying the Wii. People seem to complain about graphics a lot. I haven't noticed the Wii's graphics being necessarily bad, it's just not the focus. If the point of video games was to look pretty, there wouldn't be interactivity. Pong is comprised of two bars and a square, and it's more fun than some of the 360 and PS3 games I've played. Seriously.

While I love Nintendo and their games, the Wii isn't my cup of tea. The controller is pretty akward for me, and the games on it aren't that great, my favorite is Rayman Rabbids which it itself isn't that great of a game. Zelda is better off played on the GC, the only game so far that's really been good and needed the Wii controls is Metroid Prime 3.

Lmao @ some of the people underrating this. It may not be as super revolutionary as some of us had hoped for, but it's still a unique console in its own right, that offers a new way to play. Plus, the features, like Miis, the voting channel, etc., are nice, too.And I'll agree that the Wii doesn't currently have a super large selection of great games going for it, but look what we've got to look forward to. Metroid Prime 3, Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Galaxy, and...some others I'm probably forgetting.Awesome console.

Their are still a lack of GREAT games available.  The gameplay for several games  is just not as good as using a traditional controller.  Still a fun, affordable system,  thats more geared towards multiple player, or non-gamer type players.   The virtual console is a HUGE plus, and  brings up some good clssics from the past.

I tried it a couple of times, and once you get past the less then stellar graphics, and the amount of time it takes to get used to the controller, it's actually not bad.It's more affordable to buy as a system, and plus there is the virtual consol.

The Wii is a great system. The games are a lot of fun to play thanks to the wiimote and the nunchuck. Another great feature on the Wii is the virtual console where you can download classic games such as Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country. I only gave it a 4 because of the pain it is to actually find one in stock (I had to order mine online).

Very fun game system and can be enjoyed by younger kids. Yes it's hard to get but I think only an idiot would give it a low rating because it's hard to get. All the games I bought thus far have been great and the joysticks work awesome.

A lot of the games just plain suck - there is no way around it, horrible games!!!  Some of the games on the other hand have been very awesome, innovative and fun with the new wii motion detection bla bla.  It is a very fine line here and totally dependent on the games.  The system is mad cheap so if you arent completely in love with the system you cant really feel ripped off - also it comes with wiiSports which is very fun and a very social game (i bust it out at parties and everyone loves it).  You have to accept that the graphics suck...Farcry (the game) has the WORST graphics, its laughable!!!  On the otherhand, Redsteel (another game) had much better graphics and was very fun and very challenging!  If they make the system more available and spend more time developing the games i would have no problem giving the wii 4 stars.

as for the game system itself. I can only guess that it is fun. I do not pay much attention to game units myself. what i am fed up with is the "games" the nintendo makers are playing with the public. make it in short supply and do not send out enough. this way they have the public fighting over getting one. Oh this is real fun! our daughter wanted one for months and after doing tons of research and getting advice she found she could get on at Circuit City if she showed up two hours before they opened and get a voucher, well she got one and came back early and waited in line again with her voucher for her Wii. well one hand did not know what the other was doing so some women started just selling Wii to people standing in a new line without asking if they had a voucher. so three people got lucky without coming early and getting a voucher. my husband stopped the original guy who handed out vouchers and told him what this woman was doing. he stopped her and told her to only had out Wiis to... Nintendo Wii is a fun system, I like the fact that you can download games from other consoles to this system.  I have not had much time to try a lot of games but I have only found a couple of games that are a lot of fun on the wii like Rayman raving rabbids.

Utter hype... This console is a complete gimmick, which just happened to catch on in the mainstream. It's fun for about five minutes before the novelty wears off. It offers no quality gaming experience whatsoever. It's not even in the same league as the XBox 360 or the PS3.

I tried my brothers system and couldn't beleive how awefull the graphics were. The control is a neat short term idea that looks like a Super Nintendo left over without wires. Too bad it still can't play DVD's. I guess if you are into Mario and odd graphics, this game is for you but never for me.
