Nimrod was the Israelite name for Gilgamesh, King of what came to be Babylon, as well he ruled over other lands. We was known as a mighty hunter of God, therefore, he could not be evil. He was rebellious, but not against God. If anyone knows the Epic of Gilgamesh they would known who and what Nimrod rebelled against (many forces, including mortal life & death). There many false tales, traditions and conceptions about Nimrod, any that conflict with the ideas presented in the Tanakh must be false (one of them being, of course, that he was in any way evil). Therefore anything that proclams Nimrod to be evil does not come by way of the Spirit of the Lord.

Some people say that Nimrod was a Biblical hero, however, that might be a misconception because some sources say that Nimrod was a rebel against God.
