I took my son in for an appointment with Piiper Allen for his acne. We had been to a couple of other dermatologist in the area but without much success. Upon arrival I was a little confused because they have two offices and we went to the one downstairs but that is just for cosmetic. The staff was very friendly and actually walked us to the elevator and gave us directions from there. Once in the right place the lobby was very full (which I guess is a good thing-right?) but the staff at check in was very personable and efficient. After we filled out the new patient forms the wait was not really that long. We were called back and put in our room where the nurse was very nice and friendly. She made my son feel comfortable as she talked to him. After a short wait the doctor, actually P.A. came in Piiper Allen. We have never seen a P.A. before so I was not sure what to expect. She was incredible! Not only was she one the nicest people I have ever met she was one of the brightest. She gave... Read more

My best friend had surgery (smart liposuction) with Dr. Nick this past year, and I could not BELIEVE the results she had. She was not severely overweight, but carried her lbs all in her tummy, and working out wasn't cutting it for her. I went in with her for a few of her follow up appointments, where the Doctor himself came in to evaluate her progress, and he slowly talked me into getting the surgery myself! No pressure from him though, or his staff, they were so friendly, and answered ALL of my 2000 questions that I had. Ha! I prefered Dr. Nikolaidis since my friend had her surgery with him, and I had met him a few times....but since I expressed an interest in possibly doing a breast augmentation also, he brought in Dr. Cameron Craven, their Plastic Surgeon, to do my consultation, or I guess it was Pre-OP too. I didn't think I could be any happier with another Doc at this practice, but this guy was GOOD. I did some research on his background as well, and after meeting him, he is ama... Read more

l went to Westlake Dermatology for the first time recently and was pleasantly surprised. I had heard mixed reviews about the office staff and the service. I recently moved from California and am very picky about where I go and the quality of service. Upon arrival the front office staff of the cosmetic office was great! They were more than welcoming and made me feel comfortable. So many times in cosmetic offices the staff is a bit snooty. They were very friendly and attentive. The doctor was running a bit behind but they made sure I knew and kept me updated and entertained. The wait was not that long and when I went back to the room the nurse was equally knowledgeable and friendly. I was not sure what type of product I needed although I have had Radiesse and Restylane in California.

I will not be returning to Westlake Dermatology for any medical exams or for any cosmetic skin treatments. It's unfortunate because the location is perfect for me and my family, but the inconsiderate staff that you have to deal with is just not worth it. There are actually a few staff members that the others should take lessons from...I'm sure it isn't always easy for some of the doctors to put up with the assistants and front desk girls. I felt as if the social lives and text messaging was more important than the patients or their job. Such a beautiful office and yes, I did feel as if some of their prices were high, and I wouldn't mind paying more if only the the customer service was of higher standards. It's a busy practice and seems to be growing so fast...maybe the doctors should pay more attention to what's going on and possibly look into hiring staff members that aren't so carefree and actually take their job seriously instead of maybe just play money and the free services t... I chose Dr. Nikolaidis to perform the Fraxel Re:pair laser on my face and neck because of his impressive credentials in the area of laser resurfacing and other minimal invasive cosmetic procedures. In fact, when I did an internet search I found that his appraisal of new technologies, such as the Fraxel Re:pair laser, is very much respected by other physicians throughout the country. I am sure that this is why he was selected by Reliant (the laser company) to be among a handful of physicians in the country to use the new Fraxel Re:pair laser after the clinical trials were completed. My decision was made and I booked a flight from Colorado to Austin. I want to tell you about the great experience I had at Westlake Dermatology. The staff is friendly, helpful, caring, and encouraging. Before and after the procedure they gave assurance when I needed it. Dr. Nikolaidis really cares about his patients. He listened intently about what I wanted to achieve regarding my face and neck... Read more

I recently switched to Dr. Nikolaidis for my skin care. He's patient, listens well, and really understands my issues and knows how to fix them. He was really fabulous when working with my skin problems when I was pregnant. I highly recommend Westlake Dermatology.

I have been a patient of Westlake Dermatology for several years. Dr. Nick has been the best and most friendly doctor I have ever had. I felt at home and very well taken care of by him. The staff are super sweet and attentive. I highly recommend the practice to my friends and family.

I have been to westlake deermatology a few times for lip injection and facial fillers. I was pleased the first time that I visited. IThe doctor kept me waiting an hour but they came out cute. The next couple of times the wait got longer, up to two and a half hours , and then a young nurse gave me the injection one time. The result was bad so I called back and they told me that usually no one complains or has a problem with the nurses technique. I did so I requested the doctor do it next time. That is when they kept me in the exam room for two and a half hours with numbing cream smeared on my face while random nurses and assistants walked in and out. Meanwhile, no one had come in to tell me why it was taking so long or what to do. The doctor finally came in and seemed rushed. However, another time he was really helpful and pleasant and spent some time talking to me about my procedure and results. I think they just have or had too much to handle sometimes business wise . I found anoth... Read more

Through miscommunication of the receptionist and the nurse practitioner who injected my Botox, I was charged well above what I was told I was going to be charged. When settling the issue I was basically called a liar by one of the receptionist, the nurse practitioner and the office manager all in front of other clients. I have never been treated so unprofessionally in my life. Only one person, another receptionist, had any manners at all. I will not be returning to Westlake Dermatology.
