Fri Sep 02 2011This film does more with less than most others of its type. Truly creepy, even the funny parts.

Fri Sep 02 2011Its documentary news style makes it. Best viewing was at a 42nd Street theater with an audience from Harlem and Bed Stuy shouting, "Look behind you!" and "Watch out!" at the characters on the screen.

Fri Sep 02 2011How scary a movie is depends a lot on the situation in which you see it. I was watching it alone, late at night, when I was about eight and my parents were asleep, so it scared the snot out of me. Later my older brother told me it was based on a true story.

Sun Sep 06 2009Showed this film to my 80 year old mother who watched every second with great interest. At the last second, when the hero gets killed, she sat straight up and said, "Well, for Heaven's sake!" we both laughed and laughed. What a good film. Totally classic.

Sun Aug 16 2009Sorry, I watched this movie twice trying to find something worthwhile in it. Couldn't, The acting is substandard, cheesy production, and it was Totally Unbeleiveable.

Mon Mar 03 2008The black and white effects do the trick for the scary part. Without the cinematographer, this would be another stupid garrsion holding the fort against the rampaging Indians, or natives or whatever.

Sun Mar 02 2008I just finished watching this movie again, and it's been while since I've seen it,and it truly is the scariest movie I've ever seen, the music score alone is creepy.Usually the end of horror movies usually try to explain everything to the audience, and endon a somewhat happy note, but not here, not many movies am i really afraid to watch alone,i love horror and suspence, but not this one.this makes movies like"halloween"look like a kiddy film

Sun May 22 2005The shadows within the Black & White photography gives this classic a real creepy feel.

Sat Mar 19 2005This thing STILL gives me the creeps, this grainy, black-and-white, shoestring-budget, bizarre and unpredictable and stomach-churning movie. There have been all kinds of ways to interpret it; but whatever, if you want to interpret the zombies as communists or hippies or McCarthyites, it doesn't matter: it is still a great scary flick.

Fri Jan 14 2005Black and white was never so disturbing. Low budget and scary as hell. That's the way all movies should be. Great ending to.
