Sun Apr 06 2008It's a digital food scale that does exactly what you might think it does: weigh food. It's easy to flip the bowl upside down and stash the entire unit out of sight (like on top of a microwave/underneath a cabinet). The only downside is the auto-tare feature, which resets the scale to zero after a certain amount of time. This makes it difficult to weigh out small items like peanuts unless you drop them in all at once. All in all: a totally adequate scale. Great price.

Sat Feb 16 2008Ok, so the plastic bowl is - well - a bit plasticky, and the oz/lb switch thing drives my wife insane. But it works well for me and seems to be quite accurate. BUT - if you don't like the plastic bowl - and it really is cheap - you can substitute with your own bowl and reset the new weight. Voila! Can you believe I wasted 20 minutes of my life working that out? Well, I'm glad I did. You know you want these scales. Add them to your cart today.

Mon May 07 2007I use it with every meal. Even my son uses it and he's 12 yrs old. It is the perfect tool to help you monitor your portions and to continue to eat healthy. It's easy to use, easy to clean and fits anywhere in my kitchen. It's definitely a worth while investment.

Wed Feb 14 2007I was disappointed in the scale. It needs to be stored flat, so I can't store it sideways in the cabinet as I intended. The LCD screen is blocked by the bowl, and at an angle that makes it difficult to read. It does weigh in oz's, but not in lb's and oz's. Therefore, any item weighing more than 1 lb requires you to do the math. In order to return the item I would not be reimbursed for the orgininal shipping and I would have to pay to have it shipped to them. In other words costing nearly the cost of the scale itself.

Thu Jan 18 2007I had been using a spring scale for years and it was fine until I went to a friend's house and saw what I was missing. I put that scale on my wish list that day. This is a lightweight , fairly compact scale with "on/off" "tare" and "grams/ozs." buttons. it has a clear, plastic, removable bowl for measuring and says it can weigh up to about 3lbs. and down to 1/4 oz. I like it for its slim design its ease of use and for its easy clean up.
