After a while my face skin started thickening and looking really leathery, pronouncing every crease and crevice in my face.. that leathering is what the skin tends to do when it's trying to protect itself. ... about a week into it my face started burning many times and drying out to the point it became painful... got rash ALL OVER, constant itching and plain uncomfortable. I really wouldn't recommend using this product, the price was what got my eye but cheaper is definitely not always better.

WARNING!!! DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!! I used this product last week for the first time. On my second use, my face swelled up within an hour. Overnight it continued to swell until the next morning, I could barely open my eyes and my skin was stretched so tight on my face (ever see the movie Mask?) it was deformed. In adition, I was running a fever. I was on vacation and left to come home. The next morning the swelling was worse and I was waiting on my doctors doorstep when he opened. The nurses were horrified and rushed me back to an exam room. The doctor said I has chemical burns. As this was the only thing that was new to me, Neutrogena Deep Clean was the cause. I just finished a steroid pack and the swelling has gone down but I still have peeling skin around my eyes. I contacted Neutrogena about the incident and the customer service representative sent me a check for $5.59 for the product and a plastic bag to send it back to them in...gee thanks. A ruined vacation, doctors visit, a m... Read more

This product is AWFUL! DO NOT USE! I used this product twice; once in the morning and once in the evening. The next day, my face felt like it was on FIRE! It's been over a week and my face is STILL raw and peeling (especially around my eyes). This is a terrible product! Neutrogena shouldn't be allowed to sell this CRAP! Again...DO NOT USE!

Neutrogena Deep Clean is a great affordable product. To me it rivals some of the more expensive brands. My face always feel wonderful after using this product. The cleanser is thick, but doesn't leave a film on the skin. My skin actually feels tingly and fresh after using this! Its a great product that will keep your face clear!

Like all Neutrogena products, this is hypo-allergenic and fairly priced. The soap squirter-style bottle is convenient and clean, but it's hard to only squirt out a little bit at a time whereas a solid or cream facial cleanser enables you to choose how much product you use and adjust to make it last longer. However, this formula is a bit drying and I think that other deep cleansers with ingredients like kaolin (clay) do a better job than this.

I love the Deep Clean product. Before I started using it, my face looked too sharp, white, and wrinkly. Then I bought the product to experiment with why most females usually prefer to use cleansing products on their bodies, even though I preferred not to "cheat". Upon first use, with one single pump, I washed it away without letting it sit, and after drying off I thought "oh yeah, something great is going to come out of this". After a few trials of the product, I noticed my face began to turn delightfully blushy, the way I expected it to turn out. After each use, my face turns slightly pale with a hint of working magic. When the face dries, it indeed does get tighter, not a bad thing, a bit of an uncomfortable feeling at first, but I see it as a way of the product proving that it is at work and is not bunk. I compared the Deep Clean product to Noxema a few times, switching a couple days from the Deep Clean to Noxema. Noxema is not as worth the magic as the Deep Clean is. Noxema usually... Read more

It's Great! Your skin may break out at first but it's just getting all the stuff in your pores out. Then it cleans all that and your face is flawless. MOISTURIZE AFTER!

This product is awesome! I use the deep clean daily cleanser with the micro beads and the deep clean duel action toner, and my face feels tight and clean. After the first use, it cleaned out my pores, getting rid of my blackheads. Still, my face feels tight, which it is supposed to due to the toner, so I use the oil-free moisturizer, and that keeps my skin nice and smooth.

This product didn't do anything for me, and I honestly didn't like the way it felt on my face, but reading the ingredients, I can see why. It's filled with junk. If you have any acne problems or sensitive skin, try Carly's Clean and Clear also try salicylic acid.

this is by far the best cleanser ever!! i used it a few years ago, but i was still in my teens and had regular acne so i needed something stronger and used neutrogena oil free acne cleanser. now being in my early 20s i only had the occasional zit, but with this product i NEVER have that anymore!! and you know how you can wash your face at night and in the morning you feel all oily and gross and need to wash again? with this product i feel awesome in the morning without even washing my face!! i still wash it before i get ready for the day, but its not the first thing i think about when i wake up anymore! 5 stars for sure!

yes it is a worth try for the south asian skin with combo type like me.it works! it doesnt dry out my skin.feels refresh after just one use.i usually not fond of make up,just apply sunscreen when i go out.& this cleanser remove my sunscreen & the environmental pollutants easily.though few people says that it leaves a thin film on face but as a chemist i can say it just a protective barier of glycerine which works longer for retaining moisture level on skin. In a word i can say, its a worth try for all skin types except the dry skin.thanks neutrogena & not stop exporting this cleanser.

Used this product for 3-4 weeks. It helped my acne slightly, but eventually it stopped improving. I'd recommend it to people who do not have persistent acne, & people who have occasional breakouts. Only complaint is that it strips your skin of all its natural/oils moisturizers so you have to slather on a bunch of lotion afterwards. I ended up switching to the Basis Sensitive Skin Bar which does a much better job of clearing off all the excess oils w/o drying out your skin (it's also surprisingly good for removing makeup).

This is a great facial cleanser! I loved it. I remember using this product for at least a week and coming out of the bathroom with my mom just staring at my face with "awe". She asked me how did your pimples clear up that quicklyt and why does your face look sooo much lighter? I was sooo happy when she had gazed upon me with amazement, which let me truly know this product was working. This product does have to the tendecy to dry out your skin and make it look a little ashy, but hey I rather have my skin clean and dry than clean and oily! My product ran out about 3 months ago and I'm looking for the product again. I hope I find it, cause it is truly a great cleanser! Most Neutrogena cleansers really lighten up the complexion on your face, its great!

I suppose it does its job to an extent. It does help clear up acne, but at a cost. It will dry your skin out, especially if you have sensative skin. Looks like I have to continue on my conquest on finding the right product for me!

I have oily skin and all this product did was make it feel more oily and dirty. I would have this sort of residue on my face after I used it, and it even seemed like I broke out more!

I have been usuing Neutrogena Deep Clean for close to 10 years. This product really does deep clean AND it helps control my oily skin and breakouts. It works better than Neutogena Acne cleanser, and Clinique 3 step. Your skin will feel clean after the first wash & rinse; with most cleansers I need to wash & rinse twice before my skin feels clean and oil free. I feel the need to repeat that continued use of this product REALLY DOES HELP CONTROL OIL; with other cleansers I have an oil slick on my face after just a few hours, but Neutrogena Deep Clean helps keep it to minimum. I've tried many products over the years, but I always return to Neutrogena Deep Clean.

I have oily skin with blemishes and some acne. I first tried this cleanser after my boyfriend said he liked it. I found it to be terrible on my face. It is overdrying and leaves my face feeling tight, rough and not very clean. It has an unappealing smell. It also seemed to make my existing acne more red than it was. I would not recommend this product at all.

I thought this was a good overall cleanser. It left my face feeling really clean without drying it out too much. I use a moisturizer daily though, and without moisturizing it might have been to harsh on my skin. I don't think it's the best to treat breakouts though, Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash would be better for people that have problems with breakouts.

I really want to give 5 stars to this product. As I know that Neutrogena® Deep Clean cleanser come in the cream and liquid form. I'm currently using the liquid one b'cos I like to pump and foam it easily. I have breakout, clogged pores and as well as after I used this product. My skin is so smooth and NO clogged pores. It's wonderful. However, I always tend to let the cleanser into my eye..everytime..so..it irritate my eye and causing me yelling in my bathroom. However, this cleanser is perfect.I like it very much, not only it unclog pores, yet it reveal new skin, exfoliate dead skin cell, and help me to prevent acne. Thank you Neutrogena® for producing such a marvellous product.Thank you

i love this face wash. i used to break out a lot, but with this cleanser, it not only deep cleans my skin but it does not dry out as well. i would suggest using Neutrogena's Fresh Foam Cleanser first to remove dirt and makeup and then use Neutrogena deep cleanser. If your skin is acne-prone, then after wash and after toner, use Neutrogena's Acne One Spot treatment. this is the BEST on the counter acne treatment!! it does not dry out your skin, but you should start out with a small amount just incase. not everyone's skin is the same. Overall, I use every product, eye cream, anti-wrinkle cream, hand lotion, foot lotion, and lip moisturizer as well.....Neutrogena is a trusted brand..and the price is decent! I definitely recommend their products.

TERRIBLE!!! At first i thought the cleanser was nice but i was wrong. It made my face break out and there was no difference but worst the only thing good about it is the fresh tingly feeling but i guess that was to only mask the bad doing it did! >=(

Neutrogena has a very good line of facial cleansers and moisturizers. This product works well and it rinses clean quite quickly. The only problem is that it tends to dry the face quickly, so their facial moisturizer with SPF 15 is advisable as well.

After you wash your face you feel like there's still a lot of dirt on your face. It leaves it really sticky. Well, it feels sticky anyway. With other cleansers, it does not feel this way.

I was using Neutrogena for years before I found my current face cleanser. It is a good product for the price, but it tended to dry out my skin off and on. However, if I need a cheaper cleanser that I can buy at the drugstore, this would be my choice.
