MI5, CIA, FBI, Special Services all use questionable people, but it is all for the RIGHT END RESULT!!

Since the use of various former German and Nazi intelligence operatives has been acknowledged by the CIA, (And similarly and more recently by the heirs of the KGB, who did much the same thing) I don't think the normal standards of "conspiracy theory" exist here.

Horrible as it seems, the CIA needed their networks and resources. This is all well known now, though. More intriguing are questions about the CIA being involved in the various "ratlines" or even with Odessa.

I've never heard of it but certainly wouldn't be surprised considering the source. They tend not to be burdened with a sense of propriety...at least not in the classic sense. When I think of them I have this vision of the audition line in Blazing Saddles made up of every kind of criminal imaginable.
