Mon Dec 21 2009Unfortunate, but not to be overly cynical, its rather refreshing to see a celebrity die of the kind of freak accident that could and does happen to anyone, as opposed to some self-indulgent horseshit as is much more common to the breed.

Mon Dec 21 2009Young, pretty, and talented, she wasn't very mainstream...The saddest thing is that she left two young kids behind. those poor children! Thats sad!

Mon Dec 21 2009The circumstances surrounding her death, shocked me and probably others. If her death, does have a lasting impact, it would be in getting people to wear helmets, while they are skiing.

Fri May 15 2009Really was not too familiar with her and that skiing accident death was strange and scary-I'm afraid to bump my head nowadays.

Thu Mar 19 2009It's sad that a family is loosing a beloved mother, wife, sister, daughter. The circumstances of her accident though seemingly shocking are likely just an everyday freak thing. She possibly could have been saved by wearing a helmet, but she could also just have easily been smacked on the head by a foul ball at a baseball game or whacked her head on a low hanging pipe backstage at some Broadway theatre. Her celebrity shouldn't result in people getting all worked up about life being dangerous or unfair, at least any more so than if Debbie Fleckman from Greensville Illinois died the same way.

Thu Mar 19 2009always sad when a person dies so young, and 45 is still young. she left behind two boys 12 and 13. she was a talented actress. married to Liam Neeson they always appeared a very happy family.her sudden death was tragic. she fell while learning to ski on the "bunny slope", she appeared to be fine. an hour later her head hurt she went to a hospital. sounds like this first hospital could have been more dillegent at checking her out. according to news she was there for a few hours before she was transferred to a bigger hospital an hour away. by then it sound like it was too late. brain injuries are so serious and quick to go from not seeming bad to very critical. very sad she seemed like a good person. my heart goes out to her family.

Wed Mar 18 2009The only movie I ever saw her in was 1988's "Patty Hearst", which didn't make any great impression upon me, I'm afraid. Still, she was a young married woman, a daughter, a mother, and she had her whole life in front of her. It's sad, her death is tragic, and demonstrates once again the tenuousness of this life. Tomorrow is promised to no one. The Buddhists suggest that to find true happiness, one must not think of the future or the past, but instead must live in the immediate here and now. Easier said than done, I think, but I hope Natasha enjoyed happiness in her sadly abbreviated life. From what little I've heard about her, it appears she did (maybe the fact that I have heard so little about her despite our celebrity-saturated culture's tendency to make "celebrities" out of virtually anybody is prima facie evidence of the happiness she and her family had). Natasha, I hardly knew ye, but R.I.P.

Wed Mar 18 2009Her name is familiar to me as are some of her films. However, I wasn't really aware of her as an actor. Her sudden death is obviously tragic, but Natasha Richardson wasn't a big part of my world.
