She also has just won an Oscar for her awesome role in Black Swan but has made more headlines for denouncing a famous Christian Dior designer praising Hitler and telling a young woman that her forefathers would have been "gassed."Portman is Jewish and recently signed an endorsement deal with Dior -- released a statement saying, "I am deeply shocked and disgusted by the video of John Galliano's comments that surfaced Monday. Needless to say he was promptly fired. Good for her for standing up for her principles and putting principles over money. Any designer that big of an idiot to make a public statement like that when their top spokeperson is Jewish needs to be working at Payless or better yet in the unemployment line because the dummy took the bread out of his own mouth!

The fact she's so hot  you cant take you eyes off the screen is enough. That kind of quality supersedes acting ability.

I know she played Padme in the I, II, & III Starwars potboilers, but I can't think what else she did. She is easy to watch.

She is a great actress, who has a lot more potential, shes just starting out. Nat was very awesome in V for Vendetta. All of you who havent seen it yet, go check it out, its one of my fav. movies.

Booooooring!!! I've seen chairs with more acting ability. Kind of cute but that vacuum in place of a personality ruins it.

Experienced and permanently improving, depending on the vehicle, script or the director, of course; in director Luc Besson's stunnning 'The Professional' (1994), at age twelve or so, Portman stole the show from even Gary Oldman and in Mike Nichols' riveting 'Closer' (2004), not Clive Owen, Jude Law or Julia Roberts could best her.

Liked her in Star Wars, but havn't seen any of her other movies. She's also very pretty.

Didn't really think too much of her till I saw her in that Wal-Mart baby movie, She is damn sexy and she played that redneck role very convincingly. Being that she was born in Israel.

i remember seeing star wars episode 1 and seeing portman in the blue roght dress thing on tatooine. i fell in love with her there. sexy body, and amazing acting skills. she's what all actresses should aspire to be like.

She is even great in poor movies like the WholeTenYards--and loved her in Garden State. AND her anti-Palestinian views are EXACTLY as they should be so I love her mind, body and ability!

natalie portman is one of my favorite actresses, she has a glow about her. She is so naturally beautiful, reminds me of a younger Ashley Judd. She is so talented but also so modest. Very smart and has a very good fashion sense, kindof retro and vintage

I have to admit, I literally felt dirty when I left the theater after seeing The Professional. A little less so when I found out I wasn't the only one. She has had an incredile screen presence for years, and has grown into a beautiful woman with an absolutely stunning face. A bit waifish for my tastes, but still beautiful, and intelligent to top it all off.

Very pretty. Reminds me of a porcelain doll. I feel that she would make a better model than actress.

The local paper said something like you have to be careful watching her in her older films... something to the effect of releasing your inner pedophile. That seems strong worded, but not incorrect! She is dreamy!

radiant and beautiful in a girl next door kind of way. would be able to have meaningful conversations with her even though she is probably much more intelligent than i am. seems to be well grounded despite her celebrity status. i'm old enough to be her dad, but bfd.

Star Wars wasn't great, but when she has better roles she is wonderful like in Garden State, Where The Heart Is, and Closer.

She is Perfection Itself

She's hot but she supports John Kerry which is why I'm docking her a few stars.
