Go for the booze and the decor. Have a little fun. Get the nachos in a hub cap and relax. It's fun! It's Baltimore, Hon!

This place has gone way downhill. I used to like the food here, but the last time I was there the food was awful. An enchilada should not have BBQ sauce in it and it should have some cheese.

Nacho mamas has the best Mexican food in Baltimore. Their nawlins shrimp rocks and meg deleware dave and the rest of the staff rock! Sorry if you got bounced cuz you are a foreigner. Proper ID required for drinks not food! Love nachos and mamas on the half shell

I have never eaten at Nacho Mamas because I was treated horribly as soon as I walked through the door. The "hostess" would not seat us unless our entire party was there. There were 4 of us there and were waiting for 2 people. We were EXTREMELY rudely told if anyone came late they would not be served. One of my friends with me already did not want to go there due to his past negative experience with the staff. We will never try to deal with this establishment again and warn everyone to do the same.

Its been my favorite place for YEARS.... Meghann's margariti hubcap puts a silly grin on my face. My husband couldn't survive without the Nawlins Shrimp - which I can't recreate at home. The kids love the cheese quesidilla but take off those tomato's. Journey at 10pm

To make a long story short: waitress was in a really bad mood and started being incredibly rude when we arrived, a party of 8 for the 30th birthday of a friend. We were too of a good mood to pay attention to her behavior until she asked for IDs that we presented to her: some of us had foreigner IDs or even passports, all being official and indicating we were over 21 (we were there for a 30th birthday for God?s sake!) She refused to serve us! We tried to talk to her, it didn?t work. It was clear she just didn?t want to serve us?A friend finally lost it with her and the manger showed up. Without trying to figure out what happened, she took the side of the rude waitress ?and kicked us out! Conclusion: we drove across town for nothing. So, if you?re a foreigner, know foreigners, like foreigners, took French in High School, like Czech recipes: DO NOT GO THERE.

i have been to nacho mama's countless times, and always enjoy it, mostly due to the hubcap margarita and quesdaillas that are always delicious, no matter which of the combinations you choose (FYI, the shrimp and black bean is the best choice). just do not get the fish taco. i decided to venture off of my normal quesadilla trail, and was thoroughly disappointed. the tuna was fishy and overcooked. however, i recommend nacho mama's to anyone who can appreciate some good food at a cheap price.

I've eaten at this place or got delivery once a week for the past ten years and the quesadillas are always the best! I wish they would bring back the blue cheese steak! FYI there usually a long wait on the weekends but you can get the same food delivered to your house.

This place was far from authentic and not even good for imitation suburban Mexican food. Overpriced for the salty yet bland and "is that a quesadilla?" quality of the food, Nacho Mama's is probably a step down from the frozen stuff at Safeway. The fish taco came in a cardboard tortilla, the quesadilla was saltier than the forehead of the guy who made it, and a burrito for $14 is just plain shameful. Nachos were OK because you can't mess up nachos. I appreciated the Mexican imported beers, and the waitress was nice and smiley, even when she was ignoring us.

Let me be be specific... this review is only about their wings... which used to be the best around. However, in the past couple of months, they went from great to inedible. The last 3 times I ordered them, they were so over cooked, they were dry, brittle and tasted horrible. In fact, I had to throw them away. I kept thinking it was a fluke... no such luck. They are off my list for good!

Ok who ever wrote that last review does not get out much? Nacho Mama's is average at best. It's like a cheesy Mexican diner w/ a less than average wait staff. They have three types of beer on tap, that's it. And the wine list is bottom shelf offering a selection of wines that would cost you less than $10 dollars per bottle at the liquor store. The place just feels dirty and is so not impressive. However, what Mama's has going for them is that they are open late and located on the Square. It is a nice pit stop for a late night bite to eat after too much fun and drinking at the local bars.

Okay, seriously, the place looks very scary, but the food speaks for itself! For those of you who are penny pinchers you'll be quite happy with the large portions and reasonable prices! I will say, the wait can be very long at times. I think the longest I've waited is 2 hours, but I've honestly never ordered anything I haven't enjoyed. The crab dip is incredible! The crab nachos rock! And believe it or not, the meat loaf and smashed potatoes are the best I've ever had! Note: if you order an entree that lists the dish comes with vegetables, you'll automatically recieve snow peas. I'm not such a big fan of snow peas, but broccoli is available and it's delicious! You'll just need to ask for it! So my advice is get there prior to the dinner rush (before 6) in order to avoid parking issues and a long wait for a table, request broccoli vs. snow peas and get the crab dip as a starter!

This place is the bomb-diggity. If you order the nachos, you will need a doggy bag. If your order fajitas, you will need a doggy bag. In fact, if you order nachos with the intention that they will only be an appetizer, you're screwed -- haha. They give you more bang for your buck. It's not a wide-open place, but they make up for it in grub and booze. If you're new to Baltimore you MUST at least try this place. If you like Mexican food you will not be disappointed.

The food here is pretty darned good and it is a fun place to eat. Hot sauces are in the medicine chests at the booths. Service is average to above average. Vegetarians be warned: the bartender once advised me that almost everything is cooked in lard, so be sure to ask before you order. As always, unless you go during an off-hour the parking in Canton stinks.

Not a native, but my sis moved to Canton a few years ago, and I am a die-hard Nacho's fan! If you love Elvis, Power Rock, and people-watching, this is the place to be....Where else can you get a quesadilla the size of a dinner plate, Natty Boh bottles for a buck and a quarter, and listen to the Journey Power hour at ten pm? Nowhere! Nacho's is my favorite Charm City destination!

The dining area is farily small so you may have to wait. Being a vegetarian, I did not have a problem finding something to eat. The chips were good, but they could have put the salsa in a bigger container. The portions are generous. The way they distinguish btwn men's and women's restrooms was cute.

The Scene This tiny Mexican eatery is a shrine to things gone but not forgotten--the Colts, Baltimore-brewed National Bohemian beer, a winning Orioles team and, of course, Elvis. A nearly life-sized statue of the King greets customers at the door. The multi-colored bulbs that dangle over the tables add to the funky ambience but do little to illuminate the memorabilia-crammed walls. Expect to wait for a table, but with margaritas served in hubcaps, time passes quickly. The Food Nacho Mamas may never be confused with a genuine south-of-the-border cantina, but it serves huge portions of tasty Mexican-style comfort food, including over-sized burritos and sizzling fajitas. Creativity trumps authenticity here. The spinach salad's pungent bite of feta is tempered by smoky roasted red peppers and a smooth avocado vinaigrette. The creamy, jalapeno-spiked crab dip gives a nod to the homeland but packed with backfin crab, this treat's also got localization.

Hands down, this is my favorite restaurant. Don't listen to any of these so-called mexican food experts (aka snobs) - I LIVED in Mexico and this is Mexican flavor meets Baltimore (aka great infusion of seafood with Mexican spice!) Plus, the margaritas are nothing short of wonderful and sure to set off the night on a good note! Try the buffalo chicken or Jamby quesadilla, the crab bawls, or the house salad - SO YUMMY!

Scunny is a man of few words, but plenty of natty boh. Let down your hair and lose your attitude at the door. This joint's margaritas are like liquid dinner!!!! Yum!!!! Find a seat at the bar and enjoy the hubcap of chips and salsa. Your bartenders are quick to serve and easy with the chat. Love Baltimore and you will love this place. Try Mama's on the 1/2 shell to "class" up your nite out. You better like seafood with the prettiest crowd in the Canton scene.

I have been going to Nacho Mama's ever since I moved to Canton - and there is no better place to go for pure food "bang-for-the-buck". Where else can you get a HUGE beef taco with beans and rice for $6? And the quesadillas are all great and the size of medium pizzas. Just don't go there and expect to get a table right away during dinner/evening hours. Put your name in and take your girl over to 2910 On the Square across the street or grab a beer next door at Rick's because it's a cramped wait inside. But it's worth the wait. Best part is - they deliver everything on the menu through the pizza joint next door, or you can just pick it up.

Althought it's far from large and you may wait awhile for a table at busy times, it is absolutely worth it. Super casual with a creative menu filled with excellently prepared food. Mama's jalapeno crab dip is an excellent twist on a Baltimore favorite that alone nearly justifies the wait for a table. Overall, I'd describe it as cozy with a funky, comfortable-in-your-own-skin feel. Besides, if it's too crowded for your liking, you can always try Looney's across the street.

The food is addictive. I love the Chicken Taco. The seasoning is perfect and I wake up in the middle of the night craving one sometimes. The service, on the other hand is fair at best. The wait staff is short and do nothing but feed you and rush you out of there. I guess that is because the food is cheap, they work on tips, and there is always a house full of people waiting to eat too. A friend of mine asked for tea once, and the waitress looked at her almost cross-eyed and appaled. OH-and don't even think of getting seated and adding someone to your party. That is a big no-no and you will get HORRIBLE service, nasty looks and snarls if you do this. I wouldn't recommend this for this kids past 6:00pm, because it's very small and get's incredibly smokey.

I used to live a few blocks from the place and at times, I felt I ate at Nacho Mama's more than I did at home. Of course with a hugh main plate of Chimichanga or Enchiladas and a couple of Natty Bo bottles ringing in at around $10, why grocery shop? And the best part? The tasty margaritas come in a pint glass.

Any visit to Baltimore should include a dinner at Nacho Mama's. It's loud, it's crowded, and it's fun. This place isn't much larger than your living room, but, like New York, somehow it works. The food is tasty, big servings and turned around quickly. The atmosphere is lively with a variety of music pumping through this little spot. And it's not unusual to see patrons walking around singing! The bar is long and the drinks are generous--especially the frozen margaritas. The dress is smart casual to downright sloppy. It's a little Baltimore oasis where you can pop in, have a great meal (and someting for lunch the next day) and take away a little slice of Baltimore. If you go, try sitting in the Elvis room. It's a hoot.

Being a native Texan, I have eaten lots of real Tex-Mex. This resturant does not come near the real stuff! Beans taste like the canned variety. Food does not have the real Tex-Mex spices. Rice is sticky. They mean well, but I would rate it mediocre at best. On a brighter note, Salsa is ok, Iced Tea is great. The atmosphere is interesting.

favorite place to visit when on the western shore. the atmosphere is eclectic and the food superb. starting with the salad infused with blue cheese and a zippy dressing (large enough for 3 to share) to any entree on the menu, you can't go wrong. if skunny the owner is in attendance you're in for a triple treat. ask him to recite some of his jokes. while not a margarita drinker, somehow sipping from a hubcap makes it doable. a great place to have fun and eat like a "king" on a pauper's purse.

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a new place to go or who just would like to kick back, eat, have a few cocktails and listen to some good music. We always order way too much food because we want everything on the menu.

Finally, a place actually worth mentioning! Its a bar/restaurant so dont expect fancy dining. But its certainly a lot of fun.... funny decor, friendly people, tasty food, and close to lots of canton bars. Go on Tuesday for the Two for Tuesday special! YUMMMM Really cheap too!!
