There were plenty of these in my high school yearbooks. A laughable blast from the past.

I suppose they weren't so bad in the late 80s and early 90s, but they should stay there.

I am glad these hair styles did not last long. pretty silly looking. TV even tried to make a stupid show out of this called The Mullets. talk about scrapping the bottom of the barrel. heck even some women tried this goofy haircut. at least it is not the worst ever hair style.

Funny how when the different hairstyles come out and they're really popular at the time, but let a few years go by, and everyone all of a sudden thinks it's dumb.

Recently i showed my boss Andy the original drivers licence i recieved when i was 18 years old back in 1992.  He was like wow you had a mullet!  When i was 18, the mullet looked good on me until i got older. As i got older, my hair started to get more gray, and my body started to get heavier.  That hair style just didnt look good on me anymore. Besides, i cannot stand having my hair stand up every time i wake up!   After i discovered that you can walk into Great Clips without making an appointment, i started to get my haircut regularly.  If i didnt get grayer, and fatter, i would of kept the mullet!

You always know which way the wind is blowing. I have seen mullets used as sun dials. Your friends can use it to sneek beer into a movie theater. You can use it to put out fires, or even use it for self defense. The multi-functional mullet, JUST ASK MCGYVER!

The mullet is comming back. The classic mullet is repulsive but I've seen it on e few hip young rocker looking guys and if done the right way on the right guy it can look quite attractive.

No No No. It looks disgusting on a man OR woman. Just think, there are actual TYPES of mullets: King mullet, Octopus mullet etc. Should be extinct and left in the 80's with acid wash denim.

The mullet has to be the dumbest looking haircut of all times. I have tried to find out where the name mullet came from. Can anyone tell me? Also, remember the 'tail'? when the guy would have a short haircut with a little rat tail in the back? I always had this burning desire to run up and snip it off? hehe.

Sadly, I transitioned into this hairstyle back in '85 (from the far-worse diagonal-over-the-forehead Hitler comb-over I suffered with during grade school). I'd give anything to re-take my school pictures again. Happily, it's becoming a distant memory for most.

There's a reason this one went out of style. If you think it should come back, I've got 3 words for you: Billy Ray Cyrus. Nuff 'ced.

Gotta give this a 5 for its halirity. Guys need/needed a sense of humour to have one of these. Yes they were big and fashionable in the 70's - but alas not anymore.

My partner has often tormented me by saying that he would like to get a mullet to complete his 70's footballers style (from when he grows his hair out) I really, really abhor the mullet. Whoever came up with this hairstyle MUST have been high at the time....

Mullets look awful. Hard to believe anyone would still wear their hair like this. Having a mullet is tantamount to admitting you are indecisive.

If you ask me, it looks like a mop in the picture. Some footy players in Australia have this hair, and when I see it...I have no comment. Belongs in about the seventies.

Mullets are synonymous with low life degenerates who live in trailers with their parents. People who wear then give the impression that they are underachievers with not even ebough motivation to properly groom their hair.

Ew, ew, ew. No! This style is so outdated, and it isn't flattering on any man. It makes me want to get out the scissors and start snipping away at the back of his head.

Ahh the mullet; the laughing stock of guy's haircuts. Best for a southern biker who can get away with wearing his hair however he likes because no one would dare make fun of him unless they want to catch a beating. Worst for anyone else who should prepare for laughter and ridicule whereever he goes.
