Wed Oct 06 2010Wretched refuse. No teeming shore in sight either. This is one of the most arrantly irritating lowbrow pieces of amphibian shit to ever splatter on a TV screen. I have yet to meet anyone who had the merest moiety of taste who had the slightest affection for it. And Bob Uecker is to acting what he was to catching. Stone fucking useless.

Wed Oct 06 2010Belvedere (played by the late Christopher Hewett) was one of the funniest TV characters around. I liked how the Owenses treated him like he was part of the family, and that at the end of each episode, his recording of the recent events in his diary, summing everything up with a witty one-liner. This great classic deserves to be in syndication once again.

Mon Mar 16 2009I liked this show, it's ashame it wasn't in the top ten, they acted like real family, in a sense the show ranked right up their with the funny woes of Family Ties, with the exception of a Butler, it's ashame we never seen a reunion episode. This show will allways be a classic, I just heard the other day that this show will be released for DVD series set, I plan to purchase this in the future, and collect all the seasons, and Tracy Wells was really pretty, and reminded me a lot like Family Ties Malerie Keaton.

Fri Nov 24 2006I'll admit that "Mr. Belvedere" wasn't exactly pulling in the Emmys, but I've always liked Bob Uecker (George) and the show had its fair share of good moments. Obviously the series quickly focused on the late Christopher Hewett (Belvedere) playing the straight man to Brice Beckham (Wesley), who was a relatively decent child actor in my opinion. As another reviewer noted, Wesley in many ways served as a precursor to the more famous underachiever Bart Simpson. Anyway, the Belvedere character is now a minor pop icon, and that's something. (Remember the SNL skit "The Guy Who Played Mr. Belvedere Fan Club"? Long live Brocktoon.)

Fri Mar 17 2006Angelea, A ngelea, I just loved that girls, she was so funny and a real hottie. Wesley was actually funny, he was such a devil, but I always thought it was a weird episode with the "pedophile" who rubbed his shoulders...Belvedere shoul haved kicked the perves butt, I would have loved to see that!!! belvedere, himself, was really entertaining and hewitt was a very good performer.

Fri Feb 03 2006When Bob Uecker is by far the most talented actor on the show, you know you're in trouble. The kids were especially bad.

Sun Nov 02 2003I liked Christopher Hewett as Mr Belvedere but how could he work for the Owens family.? The only other exception was Wesley, he was an ok kid. Bob Uecker could not act and was not funny. Chrisopher Hewett through his charm saved the show.

Sat Nov 01 2003Nice clean show yet again, though I had almost forgotten about it until recently. I used to like it, even though I always felt that the butler was kind of full of himself.

Tue Aug 12 2003I thought this show was great. I haven't seen it for a long time, but my memories say 5 stars. Belvedere was very droll, Wesley was great as a pre-Bart Simpson character, and I always thought Bob Uecker was funny. This show was superior to similar shows like "Growing Pains". Remember that neighbor girl who kept calling him Mr. Butterfinger, Mr. Baltimore, or Mr. Butterworth?
