This was a GREAT place to dine. I have always wanted to try Lawry's the Prime Rib but have never had a chance. The service was amazing, they had a spinning salad as part of the meal with Lawy's own salad dressing which was delicious. They came around with a big domed server which had three slabs of prime rib, you need to tell them your cut size and how you would like it cooked. They pour on the Au jus and add mash potatoes make a well and add gravy to the mash potatoes. Come with an appetite because they do not cut corners. The atmosphere was enjoyable. Everyone needs to try Lawry's The Prime Rib when they are in Las Vegas. You have never had Prime Rib unless you have tasted Lawry's The Prime Rib. I love a good Prime Rib and I have never had one like the one I had at Lawry's. I will definitely dine at Lawry's the Prime Rib when I am in Las Vegas. I am recommending Lawry's to all of my friends and family.

i've been twice to this LV location- the first time was amazing, the second time was far from it. it's a unique experience if you like table side service and eating in a room that looks like a cigar lounge. we had prime rib- i asked for medium and got well but my partner got what he asked for, medium. his was perfect, mine wasn't. i was disappointed at the inconsistency in food.

My husband and I decided to try Lawry's after driving by it last time were were in Vegas. We made our reservations online and noted that we wanted a quiet table since it was our anniversary. We were given a corner booth away from a large party with kids. Our server (who was introduced by last name-Miss Strohm) came to our table and the first thing she said was "Happy Anniversary". She walked us through the entire process and explained everything on the menu. After being served a mound of really good sourdough bread and a cold salad (with a chilled fork) from the spinning salad bowl, our carver came to our table with the carving station. He served us the cuts we requested with the sides we asked for. While I have had an occassional prime rib that was a better cut, the aus jus and horseradish sauces were outstanding. The potatoes were really good as well. I think my husband would have licked the plate if he could have. At the end, we were given a piece of cake with a smally pie... Read more

We arrived and we seated promptly. Our waitress was nice. The Bread we received was hard and It took forever to get a refill of tea. We walked in at 6:55 and we finally received our meal at about 8 pm. The Prime Rib was bland and had too much fat on it. I was really disappointed at this meal. I expected more from this over priced restaurant. We also had Lobster and that was great but this is not a lobster restaurant. Too much hype and no delivery. I will not be returning or endorsing this restaurant. I have had better Prime Rib on Freemont Avenue for $8.99.

Two things Food Snob dosent do..... I don't give out 10's and I don't review restaurants that don't deserve it. If a food dream could come true, I'd ask every restaurant to use Lawry's as a Prime Rib model. As far as I'm concerned, Lawry's is a carnivores dream. They do prime rib and they do it right. Ms. Food Snob would prefer another dish, but even she thinks this is the best. The service is the best, Ms Brown was most attentive, let relaxing. The stainless steel Rib Cart is a must experience, as you get exactly what you want and you see where it comes from. The salad is a nice side, nice flavors and colors. The fresh homemade potatoes and yorkshire pudding that come included with this dinner are practicaly flawless. The night we were there Christmas carolers visited our table and gave us our choice of a beautiful carol. A nice touch. I think I like the one in Chicago just a little better, but it may only be because its in Chicago, and oh how I love Chicago. That city just ma... Read more

Having lived in Las Vegas for three years now, we decided it was time to try Lawry's, and all I can say is "Why did we wait so long ?" We had a 5:00 pm reservation but they allowed us in about 4:45 pm and we were able to relax in the lounge, over a wonderful glass of wine (their own branded Chardonnay). We were seated very promptly at 5:00 and the exquisite dining experience began. We both had their wonderful prime rib (which was cooked to perfection), a side of asparagus, and yorkshire pudding....all of which were superb. The quality of the food, was well matched by the friendly service. The fact that your meal is served tableside is a very nice touch. Our server, Crystal Markowski was very personable, and most helpful in assisting us in making our dining selections. One of the managers, Mr. Wilson, made a point of stopping at our table and welcoming us, which added to a perfect evening. I predict that we will become very frequent customers of this fine establishment. They made us f... Read more

The prime rib connoisseur in you will know right away that you?ve arrived at the mecca of all that is wonderful about beef. The courteous valets, the mood lighting, the well-appointed bar, the dramatic Art Deco decor, and the elegant ambiance of each of the three dining rooms give but a taste of what?s to come. Then you see the incredible silver carts, the elegant carving staff, and the waitresses in their classic attire. By now you?ve caught a glimpse of the presentation of the world-renown Spinning Bowl Salad and the 'carved at your table exactly as you want it' prime rib at the other tables and know you are in for a truly memorable dining experience. Whether it?s the salad, Yorkshire pudding, or creamed corn that are your favorite side dishes, it?s the prime rib that will keep you coming back to this location or any of the other ones around the world. This is one phenomenal steakhouse and it?s been our favorite here in Las Vegas, as well as the one in Beverly Hills, for almost 16 ye... Read more

We celebrated our father's 70th birthday here last Spring. There were over 40 of us and it was probably the most well organized event we've had at any restaurant anywhere. They even had a podium set up for our father's "Roast/Toast?" The meal was served inconspicuously as our evening's events went on. I'd never had yorkshire pudding before--but it's actually pretty good, at least Lawry's version was. The prime rib of course, bars none. This family will be back for his 80th I'm sure.

We were out in Las Vegas with friends and they have always raved about how great Lawry's in Chicago is. So, we picked a Friday night and headed over there. We made the mistake of not having a reservation, so we were subject to the wait. No big deal, it was too be expected. My husband ordered the largest cut of prime rib and when it came, it was less than stellar. The size of the sides was disappointing - we thought we would be able to "share" them and they were more singular. The food was good, but I thought it would be more for the price.

While I don't believe the outfits (big white aprons with a huge bow in the back; very English) worn by the waitresses at a restaurant such as this are necessary, the attentive and mannered service made up for the costume distraction; however, our waitress was not thoroughly familiar with the wine list. My husband said the prime rib was excellent and all of our sides were very good. I had the ribeye and it was seasoned well and cooked to the correct level of medium well but, it was slightly greasy. The Banana Cream Pie was delicious and highly recommended. It was a great experience as they even have prompt cab service. Be sure to let them know if youre celebrating a special occasion; I highly recommend this restaurant as we visited on a recommendation.

I go to Lawry's whenever visiting Las Vegas. Your first expeience will be visual. The dining room is appointed in the Art Deco style. The wait staff is dressed in 1930's/40's period uniforms. They are very polite and attentive without being intrusive. The Prime Rib Trolley has the appearence of a '54 Buick. However, inside is some of the best prime rib in town carved right there table side. If you like salad with your dinner try the "Spinning Bowl" salad. Also prepared table side and is very good. I enjoy the creamed spinach & whipped cream horseradish. It's a very nice steakhouse to go to if you're tired of all of the whoopla & crowds on the Vegas Strip. Good quality, nice ambience & fine service.

In Short One of the most beautiful dining rooms in the city, Lawry's serves a menu dominated by prime rib. Three different cuts are carved tableside and served with decadent whipped potatoes and a famous spinning house salad that has been made the same way for more than 60 years. Patrons come for steak, but also for the stunning decor and excellent service from waitresses dressed in uniforms that have remained unchanged since 1938.

We started going to Lawry's in summer 2005 because of a special offer and because we knew someone who works there. We've been back several times because of the quality of the experience. We can only say good things about the service, atmosphere, food and staff. We joined the club and have earned several gift certificates as well as gotten gifts for our birthdays and anniversary. We always offer to take our out of town guests there and no one has regretted it. The Prime Rib is succulent and the salmon is excellent as well. We have also gotten the lobster tails - heavenly!

My husband had been to Lawry's in the past and knowing what a big fan I am of prime rib made reservations for our first night in town. It was wonderful! The service was great, lobster a nice addition, delicious creamed corn/spinach, reasonable wine choices on menu and a big fat slice of prime rib!! We will be going again!!

Also if you are going to visit the resteraunt again make sure to join the VIP program. We neglected to join for years, and finally did join a few months back. So far they have sent us a $25 coupon for every visit.

Me and my husband ate at the Prime a week ago for our last night in Vegas. We dropped over $300 dollars on dinner and wine for the both of us. The service was slow and even rude at times and the food without flavor. Both our steaks were dry and the portions so little. Do not reccommend!

I treated my wife for her birthday(our first time at Lawrys). We had 5:30 reservations and were led right in to our booth (booths are best there). The service was amazingly professional and very prompt. The wait-staff seemed as if they really love their jobs. Our meat carver was truly a proffessional and took pride in putting the best possible piece of prime rib on our plates. The ambience is very romantic and intimate. And the food was absolutely amazing! Honestly the BEST Prime Rib, Creamed Corn, Mashed Potatoes, and Yorkshire Pudding I've ever had in a restaurant. The asparagus was great, but not excellent. The price is $30-$40 per plate, but worth every penny, AND a generous tip! Downside: Another couple brought thier crying toddler, eventually the got emabrassed and left.

We have dined at the Las Vegas location at least a dozen times and my wife has eaten in the Chicago and Dallas locations several times as well. We have never had anything but a fabulous meal on each occasion. The prime rib is always perfectly done, as is the creamed corn and the Yorkshire pudding. The service is top-notch and the ambiance is sophisticated yet understated. While we are usually suspicious of reviewers who give all "highly recommended" ratings, we cannot help but do so for Lawry's.

Went with a few friends (3 couples total) on a Sunday evening. I wasn't all that wowed by the ambience, however the back room where we were seated was nice. Service was impeccable and friendly. Wine list was nice. Food was fabulous, including the lobster and the sides. Expensive both worth it...absolutely reccommend for prime rib.

Waitresses dressed curiously in brown maid uniforms work hard to create just the right, old fashioned prime rib experience. Obviously, THE reason to go to Lawry's is for prime rib, and man, it's great! The mashed potatoes and creamed spinach were only ok, but the starter salad and creamed corn is a can't miss. Warm sourdough bread was really tasty, even for this SF native. Exceptionally reasonable prices. Wine list is average at best, but then again, we're spoiled, coming from N CA. Our server and carver were both fantastic! If you're looking for a great meal AND to get away from the painfully typical, cookie cutter dressed, try-too-hard LV Strip crowd, go to Lawry's!

Visit Vegas 4 times per year and always go to Lawry's. The food, service never fail, is always consitant and good value (for $30.00 you get meat, salad and all trimings). Yorkshire puddings are the best (excluding my mum's).

They do one thing, and they do it very well. If you're coming to Lawry's, you're coming to get the prime rib. The only question you need to answer is, how thick of a piece are you going to get? I highly recommend Lawry's.

If you're looking to visit Lawry's, you're going for Prime Rib. And nothing more than 'perfect' needs to be said about the Prime Rib. You won't find a better Prime Rib anywhere. Prime rib is cut off the roast right in front of your table by a carver that has been awarded a medallion for his expertise. Service, during my visit, was top notch. Of course, you may encounter someone who's having a bad day, but everyone working there was a true and dedicated service professional (they don't act like college students who just need to make money for tuition). You can tell that it's real fine dining when they know to offer you something before you even ask. This is true fine dining, but be forewarned - don't expect to pay less than $30/person. Our total for 2 was $120 (2entres+1side+2drinks+tax+tip+valet).

Lawry's serves delicious food. The prime rib is simply as good as it gets. The service is excellent and unique as the Flash Gordon like carts are wheeled from table to table to provide just the right cut to match your tastes. Not inexpensive, but always worth the rate, even for town where 'comped' meals abound. Never a rush to get you out the door. you will enjoy the experience.
