Mott the Hoople

Interesting band, not one of my favorites but they have their moments. Dumb-ass name though.

It's pretty ridiculous, though the band are underrated- some real solid stuff. The name comes from a novel of the same name by someone named Willard Manus. It came out a few years before their first album in '69, it's about a weirdo who joins a circus.
