I've had my Liberty for about 3 years now and it started giving me problems.. low gas flow faults when I just replaced the tank. Not very happy that it only lasted 3 years but in talking with a repair technician he compared it to having a car and needing service every couple years. Sent it in to Mosquito Control Technology and they tuned it up for me. Now its covered under their warranty and it works better than when I first got it. They also sell wholesale parts which made me happy since I've been spending a fortune on it at my local hardware store. Overall good product if you take care of it right and get it tuned up every so often.

When it is working it certainly does a fair job of getting rid of mosquitoes. It has only worked about 1/4 of the summer. The replacement items (the net and the scent) are expensive for what you get. Do not buy these from the manufacturer. I had to blow out the system 4 times before it finally started working again this summer. Blew $10 for these CO2 cartridges that should be about a $1 each. They are similar to beverage cartridges, except they have a thread on the end (so you can't use any other cartridge.) When it finally dies again, it is going to the trash.

OK, so I ordered this MM3000 and was hoping that 1). It would work like the other unit I had bought years ago & 2). It would not breakdown like the unit I had years ago. Well, It did not work. I set it up and gave it a full week. After that week not only did I have more mosquito's I had a puddle of water under the unit every morning. Thanks to Amazon I was able to send it back and get a full refund. I would not recomend buying this.

I can't believe this company is still in business. My children bought me one for Father's Day, spending more than they should. It sort of worked for one year and then, once out of warranty, totally died. The assistance from the manufacturer was a waste of time, repeating what was already on the accompanying CD, and of no help. Two other family members also had Mosquito Magnets and neither of theirs worked beyond the second year.

Like soo many here, I read the reviews and balked and balked at buying one, but this summer thus far has been horrible with regards to mosquitos. Couldn't take it anymore and hand to try something. Purchased this Liberty eager for some results. Hoping to be one of the few that would have good results. And there were some results, FOUR mosquitos in three days!!! I got bit more on one 30 second occasion going out to check on it then it collect in three days of running. My guess, those mosquitos flew in by accident and couldn't figure out how to escape. Repeated checked the instructions and followed to a letter but the results don't merit the cost of supplies: propane tank refills, attractant, electricity and whatever else I'm forgetting here. There has to be a better alternative. This is far too common a problem for soo many people. I'm open to suggestions. Very frustrated!! Don't waste your time or money on one of these. Interestingly, decided it may be time to sell i... Read more

I see many dissatisfied customers when I look at these reviews. I'm not affiliated with this company in any way, but my dad picked this exact model up at a garage sale recently for only $20. We went and got fresh mosquito bait and a fresh propane tank and fired it up but after it finished its warm-up phase, the fault light would turn on and it wouldn't work. It was a REALLY EASY fix- go to your nearest authorized dealer (or shop online) for a pack of Mosquito Magnet QuickClear cylinders. First you take the adapter that came with the unit and screw it on, then you screw in the QuickClear cylinder all the way, and then back it out 1/4 turn (you'll hear it start to hiss). Leave it until it's done hissing (45 seconds) and then plug your unit back in and reconnect the propane tank and fire it up and it will probably work fine. It seems that gunk builds up in the lines during use and/or storage and it needs these QuickClear cylinders to clean them out. We only just started using ours today b... Read more
