Extremely entertaining for several seasons. It also kind of broke away from the normal "half hour for comedies and one hour for dramas" rule. Yes, you could call it a "dramedy" but it really fell into the comedy category. I mean did the plot really matter? It was just to set up another scene or location where the 2 actors could bicker. There were parts of shows that were serious and even entire shows were they were serious, but it wasn't the norm. The two leads had tremendous chemistry, and while the sexuality was simply in the tension category and not in the actuality category, everything was hunky-dory. But after David and Maddie hooked up, the show got awful in record time. Not only were the episodes bad, but it seemed it was rare for Willis and Shepherd to be in an episode together. Didn't she go off to her parents for a long time? After David and Maddie did it, I think the producers should've hired the Cheers writers. They had a clue regarding what to do with Sam and Diane post... Read more

Actually watched this show sometimes. Occasionally some acting would ensue.

Do You Think There Were Enough Lens Filters On The Camera For Cybill Sheppard's Close Ups? I Wish They Added More Then Maybe We Couldn't See Her Ugly Face At All!

it was good at first the writing was clever. and Bruce Willis was good. too bad they had to put up with the ever witchy Cybill Shepherd. she sure had a reputation for not getting along with others. the show itself could be good the first couple of seasons. the last couple got too farfetched.

"Moonlighting" really should have given up the ghost after three seasons when the series jumping the shark when Maddie (Cybill Shepherd) and David (Bruce Willis) finally hooked up after years of sexual tension. Before then, this dialogue driven show certainly had its moments and there wasn't anything else like it on television at the time. Fantasy episodes are usually a sign of a dying series, but the black & white show was very well done in my opinion. Nevertheless, increasingly bad writing and production delays ultimately results in a loss of stars.

The first couple of series were refreshingly different then it all got a bit surreal and silly. Shame that Cybill Shepherd's as mad as a box of frogs though.

Up until Cybill Shepherd's character got pregnant, it was one of the most delightful shows in the history of tv. Then it really became a drag.

One of my all - time favorite shows. David & Maddie were great together and the sexual tension kept us all on pins and needles. The first 3 seasons were the best and then it went downhill. But while it was good, it was excellent! I am waiting for the DVD of seasons 1 & 2 to arrive. Can't wait to see it all again!

From what I remember, Bruce Willis was cool and I loved Cybil Shepard's hair.

How can someone not find this appealing: Two great stars; a sexual chemistry bar none; witty, innovative writing; and creative ground-breaking television? This is Bruce Willis & Cybill Shepherd at the top of their game and their game is the sharpest, wittiest banter ever on TV. This is one sexy, great couple.

Pure crap. That childish and idiotic attempt at badinage between CS and BW set the stage for the rest of his juvenile and imbecilic career. Why this show was so popular was totally beyond me then, and looking back, it's difficult to believe this tripe was ever broadcast. Really gagsome show featuring two totally unappealing no-talents.

I wanted so much to like this show, but it just never caught on with me. It wasn't a bad show, and I thought Cybill and Bruce had pretty good chemistry. I even liked the nerdy secretary and the little guy who hung around there with them all the time, but it never became one of my don't miss shows.

It just goes to show you that the chase is much better than the conquest. Once Maddy and David got together the show lost its spark!

Moonlighting started out as a very original show and had some great, entertaining episodes. Unfortunately, its creators fell into the trap of giving the viewers what they claimed to want (David and Maddy getting together) and the show went downhill from there. The sexual tension, the sense of expectation, wondering if they'd ever get together -- once that was gone, the chemistry was never the same.

The best shows were the early ones, where Bruce Willis was a bit more out there.

Just recently I came across Moonlighting on the Bravo Network. When the show was in it's original run I was only a child and didn't understand why my mom liked watching the show so much. Now that I'm older I understand why. It is the way David and Maddie banter and the way Cybill and Bruce portrayed the characters. Of all the films and shows these two have done, Moonlighting was the best.

Until it started to stink (and it's obvious when it did) it was the best written screwball romantic comedy of all time

Great show too bad Cybil is so annoying. Looking back this was possibly the one time I didn't get overwhelmed by my dislike of Cybil Shepherd and was able to enjoy her for the eye candy she was.

I have just bought the very first DVD which contains the Pilot episode, and although I have every episode on video, I shall certainly be buying any more that come out on DVD, I just hope that they come out in the right order, and complete Brian Walton

I never miss the 'Moonlighting' reruns weekdays on BRAVO (Noon or 7pm EST) I like the way they put all those classic tunes in every episode. My favorite's the one where Dave and Maddy make love for the first time, to "Be My Baby"...for me that was one of the defining moments of this series...and TV history!

Bruce looks so sexy, and everything he does is so sly. Bruce and Maddie looks good together. They are both outstanding and wonderful actors. Bruce and Maddie's fighting always keeps me watching to see if they would end up together. They are a gem to watch and keep their audience wondering.

LOVED it!! Such a unique concept--I've never seen anything like it since! Blended the ridiculously goofy w/themes that were often serious and downright heartbreaking. David & Maddie were smart, sexy, & sophisticated, and they showed us their way was the best way to be in love!! Love all of Bruce's flicks but his role on "Moonlighting" hasta be my favorite!

Always liked bruce better than cybil, this was bruce's launch to fame...really liked the subplot of the secretary (alice?) and her boyfriend. The story line of " will boy bed girl", got old real fast...and where is cybil now?
