Place was empty, showroom was okay. Salesman was courteous, attentive, and, anything but knowledgeable. Took half a day to find out if the model they recommended was in stock in the warehouse.

I am a total gadget geek and fanatical about the details of everything. I called MODIA experts and they walked me through the whole installation process. After they installed my Panasonic 65 inch plasma and integrated it with all my video game systems- the whole works including a Xbox 360 and WII. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give them a 10.

Five years ago I bought a Mitsubishi TV from Home Theater Store, now called Modia, at the store on Preston Road. I love the set and the picture is great. Yesterday I was playing a DVD for my grand children and one of them pushed the wrong button on my Verizon FIOS remote control and the picture went to snow. I was able to find the DVD player again and finish the movie but the Fios service was no where to be found. I didn't know what to do so I called the store. Bob the manager answered and explained that they had chaged their name last year and moved the store to Central and Knox. I told him my predicament and he said he would be glad to help. He spent over 30 minutes on the phone having me push buttons and checking various things on the TV and the Verizon Fios box. He had me try serveral things but I didn't really know what I was doing and was no help to him. He said, well you stumped the band! He then said, " Ya know, I live up that way and would be glad to stop by on my way... Read more

I arrived at the Modia store very skeptical, the store was in pristine condition, great looking products with great looking furniture, everything looked very expensive, so i started in the store not allowing the salesmen to help me, i was looking for a home theater system and a Tv and knew i didn't want to spend a arm and a leg to get what i wanted, so i kept looking, i walked around the store and found a few things that caught me eye and a few things i liked but i could not operate, so as i looked around for help, the salesman was close by for me to ask him for help, so i did, he helped me find a surround sound receiver and speakers that i could afford and that sounded out of this world, i then told him that i was in the market for a Tv, he asked me a few questions and found that the Tv that was the best fit for me was my new Mitsubishi 52'' LCD which looks great, i had it all installed and they explain how to do all the features that i need to know and how to make everything work ... I went down to MODIA to look for a home theater system for my house. I was amazed as I walked through the doors how stylish their showroom was. They had a one-of-a-kind setup that I have never seen at any audio/video stores. As I walked in the store, I wasn't bombarded with any salesperson breathing down my neck nor was I completely ignored. They gave me a few seconds to look around and then greeted me casually. As I got to speaking with one of the salesman, he seemed extremely knowledgeable and very professional. He gave me a tour around the whole store showing me the different products they carry as it was my first time there and after discussing what I am looking for, guided me to the products he felt would best fit my needs. I have to admit, MODIA has some of the coolest systems I have ever seen and heard and even though they have some of the most outrageously priced systems, they are still very competetive when it comes to a good budget priced system that I was looking for.... I've been an audio-phile for many years. A couple of weeks ago, I decided update my sound system and get an HD tv. The experience I had at the Modia Home Theater Store in Arlington was second to none. When I entered the store I was immediately impressed with the decor, very up-scale, and the friendly, casual way I was greeted. The salesman was courteous, and patient with my lack of video knowledge. Since my main interest is in good audio gear, that's where we started. Modia carries some very high-end electronics and speakers so this was fun. The salesman took the time to actually listen to what I wanted to accomplish in my home. He is extremely well informed in both the audio and video technologies available today. That can be hard to find in the retail environment, today. Even though he understands all of the new technologies, he explained things to me in plain english without a lot of jargon. He never talked down to me or over my head. He even offered a free in-home consultati... Read more
