Selected this moving company based on review on citysearch. They broke several items in the move. Some items beyond repair. I called repeatedly to file a claim, but only got a run around that I had to speak to the owner but he was never in. I left many messages for him but never got a return call. M&M also 'forgot' a part of their estimate on move day and made up prices that were much higher than the original estimate. I chose to move a lot of items myself to reduce the price but ended up paying a lot more than the estimate that included everything. I do not believe the reviews on this site for that company are all legitimate customers.

I've used M&M twice. First, they are the first to call me back when I ask for a quote so I'm not waiting around, and they are always the lowest quote I receive from all the requests I send out. I actually don't remember many details from the first time I used them because it was a long time ago, but we moved again on March 13, and I wanted to write them a stellar review. First, the guy who gave me the quote and scheduled my move (sorry I don't remember his name) was courteous, professional, and honest. The day before they came, they called to confirm the appointment. They called again about 30 minutes before they arrived so we were prepared (because they had given us a two-hour window for their arrival time), and they arrived exactly when they said they would. Instead of the two guys they said they would send, they sent three, which probably cut the move time in half, and when they charge by the hour, this helped a lot! I rarely write reviews but in this case I was compelled to. What sets M&M apart is that they work in such an intelligent way – impressive. I had a master bedroom full of large, heavy mahogany furniture with tight hallways/doorways and stairs with a number of corners - this made for a real challenge . Chris, Scotty, Brad, and Tommy figured out how to maneuver each piece out of the old house…. and into the new house without any problems (they took their time to inspect clearances often). They shrink wrapped the furniture in the truck to further protect it. Note that if you do happen to need it, they have a furniture finisher on call (nice to know just in case). Moving is quite stressful but they remained calm for the entire move which helped us remain calm. They were right on time. They worked hard, smart, and were very courteous. Easy to recommend and I would use M&M again without hesitation. - John

M&M Moving is GREAT! You couldn't get a more trustworthy and dependible moving company to work with. We needed our office moved with very little notice and they were there. These guys really know what they're doing! This is the only moving company I will ever use and am happy to share the good news with others!

I used M&M Moving for an in-state relocation. The service was tremendous and the online quote function on their website was a breeze to use. Moving is by far one of the most stressful tasks we have to face. M&M Movers made my most recent moves as seemless as possible. What they quote is what you pay, period. M&M Super Movers are the best in the business. I have needed to use movers at least 7 times in the ten years I've lived in the Austin area. The last three times I have used M&M and it has been great. I used them for my business once and personal the other two times and will continue to go back. Things that impressed me the most: 1. M&M is On time! Never has another mover shown up when they said they would. 2. Employee Retension! Since we moved to the Austin area in 1989, I've used other local movers three times and now M&M Super Movers two times for my elderly in-laws in the last three years as they downsized their household twice. Without a doubt, M&M provided the best service, a good price and performed timely and responsibly. From our experience, I know Chris works very hard to make sure every quote is fair and every move completed as professionally as possible. I heartily recommend them to anyone, residential or commercial, who needs a reliable, fair and honest mover.

These guys were terrible. They destroyed a piece of my furniture that has been moved both personally and professionally by my family for more than 20 years. The mover, Tony, physically threatened me and halfway through the move threatened to leave my stuff out on the street and not complete the move. This was reasonably handled by their over the phone guy, but made for the worst moving experience in my life. I think that most of these reviews are written by dummy account created by M&M employees because this experience could not possibly have been a one-time deal. Beware of M&M moving they are absolutely unprofessional and unbearable to deal with. I filed to get the furniture fixed and was promised over the phone that they would send their furniture guy right out to repair my broken dresser. Guess what? I never saw the guy or heard from them again and I don't expect to.

I used M&M moving on my most recent local move. Rob's quote was very reasonable despite the fact that I was moving to a house positioned on the side of a hill that requires that you take a tram 210 feet up to get there. After looking at where I was moving from, Rob and I drove out to the house that I was moving to so that he could see what his guys were getting into. The movers were also the packers. They spent a full day and a half packing and then worked until 9pm getting my stuff moved the next day. NOTHING was missing and NOTHING was broken. I would use M&M moving again......if I ever half to move again.

My parents lived on the TX coast in a very small town I lovely call the "swamp", because everything there only exists in 2 states of being - either it's molded/rusted, or it's about to be. When my Dad pasted away it was time to move Mom, and all the stuff my parents gathered after almost 50 yrs of marriage, to the big city. Not only was M&M Moving able to communicate to my Mom (via phone, and fax ? she hates email) and work up a quote lower than another large company we had bid this insane project, and pack/move all her precious items, but they did so with gentle spirit. Being miles away from her and my Dad only gone a few months I was worried how the move would go, how Mom would feel seeing her life bubble wrapped and shoved into a card board box, but after my very first call to check in on how things were going I felt a huge sense of relief when my Mom said "these are the nicest people she has ever met, such a blessing, so kind..." and "they took great care in packing George!" - (4... I picked M&M Moving because of its great reviews on Citysearch. This morning, Chris and Scottie showed up as my movers and they were great! They were very efficient and quick, yet friendly towards me and careful with my belongings. Would use M&M again - I highly recommend them.

We had a family emergency and needed some antiques and furniture moved quickly. M&M was friendly, gave a complete description of what they would do and how much it would cost, and the actual bill was less than the estimate. They showed up on time and the family members on both ends of the move said the movers were GREAT. They have their own permanent crew and used a trailer for our small load rather than a huge truck. We've moved 12 times and this co. is the best we've ever used.

M&M has moved us twice in the past month and both times they have been courteous and fast in their work. Jason and Brandon have done an outstanding job getting our moves together. After being stood up by another local company, I called M&M in a panic. I needed help immediately, as I had numerous PODS in front of my house to be unloaded. M&M had 2 guys to me within 30 minutes! I know that they are not used to being called last minute, but I explained that I had been waiting on another moving company for hours and had just been notified that they were not going to show even though I had reserved them days before! M&M to the rescue! And the guys they send were amazing! Careful, fast, considerate and very respectful! I cannot say enough about my wonderful experience with this company! The world would be a better place if all companies were like this..no joke. Grateful to have had such a pleasant experience within a crazy moving time!

M&M made my move as easy as possible. They showed up on time, were careful with my belongings, and finished the move in less than two hours. I have never moved in and out of a place so quickly. The price was VERY reasonable and I can't believe I never hired movers before. Highly recommended!

A wonderful experience. These guys were on time, friendly and most of all careful. They did what I thought was going to be an all day affair, into four hours. Moving furniture and boxes from a third floor apartment to a second floor apartment, 15 miles away, is not my idea of fun, but watching these guys work, with all of their expertise and care in handling furniture, made it fun. I found this company on Citysearch and Yahoo Local, both sites had them highly rated. Now I see why. They came out to my house and looked at everything I had and within a day sent me a quote. It was a few dollars higher then some others who gave me a quote just over the phone but worth it. Their movers were professional and courtious. These guys did not stop working. I thought it would take a few days to do it, but they were done in a day. They made something so hard seam so easy. Would not hesistate to recommend them to any friends or family. Highly recommended. With both my wife's and my hectic schedule, this company took a huge load off our shoulders. Their office staff has to be one of the most courteous and flexible as I have ever dealt with. They moved everything from our old house and storage unit into our new house without any hassles. They even came in and packed our old house at the last moment when we couldn't find the time to finish it ourselves. Nothing was damaged and there was not a mark on the new carpet or walls in our new house. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a professional moving company with courteous and talented employees and a competitive price.

We have nothing but great things to say about M & M! We even had a last minute scheduling change and Jason made everything happen without a glitch. Our move was a bit complicated with it being a two-phased move; our apartment here in Austin and the rest of the 2/3rds of our belongings coming down from Dallas. They took the keys to the storage units and handled the move from Dallas to Austin for us so that we could continue to get our things settled here in our new home in Austin. Their pricing was what we considered fantastic since we have moved a lot in the past 5 years and they were the best pricing we've ever gotten. Really, you can't go wrong in choosing this company!!!

Couldn't have asked for more!!! I had three different companies give me a quote for my move. M&M's price was the same as the others, but the service they offered was better than I could have expected. The office staff was so courteous, and the movers were so friendly and didn't even seem to care I had them rearrange my new living room 3 times. They treated my belongings like they were their own. They took ALL the hassle out of moving. I even had them pack my old house. When I spoke with the gentleman in the office about what I was supposed to do he told me to just sit back and have a glass of wine and watch. They turned something that has been so stressful into something so easy. I would recommend them to anyone and will use them any other time I need to move.

I hired M & M to move me from my house to an apartment when I sold my home, knowing I was going to need a mover again 2 and 1/2 months later when my new house was finished. I had to move to a 3rd floor apartment, and M & M did a FABULOUS job with my stuff. Nothing was broken, not even scuffed. They also took the time to make sure everything was in its proper place. They did such a great job I rehired them for my apartment to new house move and also my 10 X 20 storage. They showed up on time, moved the apartment, then came and moved the storage. It took all day of hard work, but they stayed with the job and worked until it was complete (almost until 8 PM!!!). Again, they did a fabulous job and didn't damage anything, not even the heaviest items. While we were moving the storage building, another company was moving items in and completely destroyed another person's furniture, which made me really happy with M & M and their care they took. The worst moving experience of my life (and I've moved quite a bit.) This company employs rude crazy people. I will never use them again. Not only were they not careful with our furniture (antiques) they were extremely rude to us as well. I've never witnessed anything like it before and suggest this moving company seriously considers the "type" of individuals they employ. Just thought I would "warn" the public.

After being stood up by my previously scheduled moving company, I called M & M Movers. They were so nice and helpful and agreed to come move my rather small inventory from North to South. They were so nice and even offered to show three hours earlier than scheudled! I highly reccommend them and will definitely use them for my next move. Thanks again!

M&M moving recently helped me move from a small bedroom house to a larger home. I closed on the home quickly, so I was calling for M&M's moving help on very short notice. Everyone I spoke with representing this company was very friendly and provided clear answers to all of my questions. I also had someone call to confirm my move and answered any last minute questions that I had the day before my move. On the day of my move, they sent two very capable men to move my items. I have since then unpacked and all of my things were delivered safely! I was particulary impressed with how understanding and patient the movers were as I decided where I want to put things in my new house. They made sure I was completely satisfied before they left my house. I have moved within Austin in the past and have used other moving companies and I am very pleased that I chose M&M for this move! It so much stress way from moving and I will highly recommend them to anyone moving!

It's nice to know that litle people count to. I called several moving companies to help us out moving from one apartment to the other. They were not interested or were to busy to help me out. I didn't have alot of stuff, just the futon and a few boxes, but I injured my back and could hardly get out of the futon much less move the stuff. Rob was extremly patient with me and my situation. He sent over two wonderful young men who handled my boxes with such care. I highly recomend this company for any kind of move.

After two months we were finally able to conclude our journey. After 6-7 phone calls, leaving messages, and not getting a response I was able to connect with someone. We agreed to an amount and I received a check in three days. There are plenty of companies out there, overall I would suggest someone else as customer service is not a priority with M&M. (Initial Post) We recently moved about 3/4 of a mile. Distance only matters because we have moved cross country several times. In those moves we have had some minimal damage, but nothing like the damage during our 3/4 of a mile move. BUT, I also chalk it up to s*#! happens. What I'm going to report back here is how they manage this damage. So far here is the events: 1. Move. Damaged goods, movers agreed they did the damage and wrote it up in the report. I used M&M moving last year when moving from a one story to a two story house. They were highly recommended to me by a friend and I can certainly see why. Their price was the best I found after shopping around and getting some quotes and their employee Jared who came to my house to do the quote was more than helpful. He met me after business hours, which was very convenient to my schedule...and he even came and supervised the move on the actual move date. They showed up on time, loaded our stuff up and were at our other house unloading quickly. I would definitely use M&M moving again after the service I received and I have refered them to 2 other people all ready.

These guys are great. The were so careful, yet so quick with my move. The price was right. And watching them pick up some of my furniture and take it up two flights of stairs you would think they had metal legs. I would recommend them to anyone who want some outstanding service with a great price.

Customer service is rare nowadays, but this company hasn't realized it yet. They were on time, polite, professional and FAST. I could not believe a move from a third floor apartment to an apartment on the second floor miles away could be done in so short a time. Very careful with all our furniture and boxes. Even took the time to clarify what FRAGILE items were in each box and handled them accordingly. If I ever move again, this is the company that I will call. These guys were great. They moved all of my items without even a scratch. Everything was put in its place and they even set up the beds. Their customer service was above and beyond starting with my first phone call to their office till they put the last item in place off of the trailer. The guys were very courteous and friendly the whole time. Last time I moved I used one of the lesser expensive companies I found on CraigsList. Let me tell you DO NOT do that. M&M was not expensive but wasn't some third rate cheap company at all. I guess you get what you pay for. Needless to say M&M changed my mind about movers. They made it seem so easy. I found out they offer packing services as well, if I have to move again I am just going to hire them to do it all. They took the headache and stress out moving. Highly recommended
