Sat Oct 25 2008One of the best shows dealing in politics. Josh Brolin played the part of Mister Sterling. Everyone just assumed he was a Democrat because his father was a Democrat, but was an Independent, was open minded, and had views on both sides of the political spectrum.

Fri May 21 2004I can't believe with all the junk on tv you cancel a good show like this.

Thu Jan 08 2004Why did the network cancel another great show?

Tue Dec 09 2003The sad fact is that people get what they want- ignorant shows (with ignorant viewers) about how a woman or a man is promiscious with several of the opposite sex until they finally, finally, finally make a decision to stay with one on national TV. Hey Screwballs at NBC- Are you listening? You have made an error in judgement that can be rectified... While it was entertaining, it also taught incidental facts about governmantal workings/proceedings that many of us 'common folk' weren't aware of... Not to mention the excellent- and very believable- acting on the part of Josh Brolin and his supporting cast. Face it- YOU SCREWED UP! The question is, Will you fix it? If you have good sense you will reinstate the show, 'Mister Sterling'. Thanks for accepting the criticism...

Mon Nov 10 2003This show gave a human feel to the cold, vast wasteland that is politics today. It was fun and light. I was looking forward to the next season.

Sat Nov 08 2003This show was likely canceled because of its "too accurate" depictions of the way Congress actualy works. It was very revealing and very unflattering and very good television. It made legislators look bad. The reaction was typical: Don't change one's bad ways, just get rid of the exposure. This also applies to other TV shows that get "too close to home."

Mon Aug 11 2003Are the execs at NBC losing their minds?? How could they cancel this show? First let me start by saying that a show like this it NOT MY CUP OF TEA, but I felt i had to watch the first episode because they promoted it so much... I was in love. This show was genious... how could they cancel it? I'm going to find someone at NBC to complain to and I'll let you all know when i do!

Fri Aug 08 2003I am terribly disappointed that NBC cancelled the show. It was the only show that I absolutely made sure I did not miss and I made no other plans for Friday nights. It was very refreshing.

Sat Jul 05 2003How charactoristic of NBC to finally find a show worth watching, and then they cancel it... Someone should find out the name of the monkey running the show and fire him

Thu Jun 26 2003This show is compelling, insightful, and good for the spirit. Everyone likes to see the underdog win (unless you are the one up against him!) NBC will see the error of their ways just as Showtime released "Stargate SG1" and it was picked up by the SciFi channel. And if somone from the studios is reading this, BRING IT BACK!

Sun Jun 15 2003this is a probably futile email that i sent to nbc, immediately after which i heard that this show had been canceled. who knows? may be if they get enough complaints about the cancellation, perhaps theyll reverse their decision. To whom it may concern: I was just wondering what ever happened to the show Mister Sterling? this was one of the best shows i had ever seen! it was betond fantastic. I have been desperately trying to find out when its new season starts up. Please publicize this show! Its the only thing on your network that I even bother to watch! The actors are hot and the storyline is long overdue for American televison. Far exceeds West Wing or any other show on your network.

Fri Jun 13 2003Mr Sterling was the most intelligent and politically important program I have ever seen. Please run it asap. Thank you, Anne Steichen

Thu Jun 05 2003Who are we kidding here? More wish fulfillment for voters as a seemingly intelligent and well intentioned representative goes up against... what? The most boring issues in the world!

Tue Jun 03 2003I really did appreciate the few shows that NBC played. We are still waiting for the LAST show that was pre-empted by the President. While there was some hokiness in the show [not knowing that he had to pay for his apartment] I really enjoyed the show [more than West Wing] and hope that it will be reshown this summer and MAYBE continue with new shows in the fall. But then I am probably as naive as Mr. Sterling was in the beginning....

Sat May 31 2003Incredible Show, NBC has gone crazy. This show should have been moved to another night, not cancelled. Who watches tv on Fridays?? Well, this show made me stay home. Now, I get to go back out.

Wed May 21 2003Wondering if there is a site where I might be able to let NBC know that they are fools if they do not bring this show back. I never watch TV, but one Friday night I caught a tidbit of the first airing of Mr. Sterling and stayed with it...until the rest of the season. I'm hooked and need the show to come back. NBC has captured a younger demographic with this show and will continue to do so with a continued airing.

Mon May 12 2003This show is wonderful! NBC would be so stupid to cancel it. I understand it still has a chance! Is this true? Hey, Friday nights would have me home with Mister Sterling And Ed!

Fri May 09 2003Damn shame they cancelled an excellent show.

Tue Apr 29 2003An unpleasant surprise when I could not find Mr. Sterling on my TV provider. Is there a site we can register our displeasure with the network?

Fri Apr 25 2003If it's true that NBC cancelled the show, it's a shame. Although more earnest than West Wing, Mister Sterling had a Mr.Smith Goes to Washington likability and value. Perhaps a show that examines the ultimately positive and worthwhile possibilities of politics does not match the anti-Washington zeitgeist of the age. That's a shame, because the idea that an ordinary guy, an independent, could not only learn the ropes, and the savvy give & take of the Beltway, but do good, is a message that would do our democracy some good. Maybe it will be revived, but that wish is perhaps as naive as Senator Sterling's on day one in DC.

Thu Apr 24 2003It was one of the Best shows NBC had. Since I work in the Washington DC area, this show hit home for me. NBC should dump some of the stupid reality shows instead of Mister Sterling. Didn't NBC dump JAG several years ago??

Fri Apr 18 2003Great show. I find it very interesting to watch. Really do like Josh Brolin. I think he does a great job as his character.

Sun Mar 09 2003Excellent show !!! At least a show that shows politics differently and that could give an alternative to reality shows if NBC gives it a chance. 9 episodes is not enough
by callmetootie
Mon Mar 03 2003Not as much of an ensemble show as The West Wing, but more of a one-dimensional show revolving around the life of an independant senator, and her relationship with clients and agents. Good writing, and great cast...and despite the West Wing/Mr. Sterling connections, their quality is quite diverse.
