One of the few tv shows that we let our kids watch when they were little. RIP Mr. Rodgers.

It is definitely better to have someone be your neighbor than some big purple dionsaur with a goofy voice and overexpressive orchestating movements that loves you. His songs are much better and his voice is so calm and graceful. Now that he is somewhere else, we know that he is with us everyday on and off the screen. It's a longshot, but I hope that he can be canonized into sainthood since he has been involved into a lot of community sevices, cares for children, and cares a lot for how public televison for kids is meant to be.

Mr Rogers was one of the most mild mannered children's role models of all times. I wish he could still be here for ny grand babies.

What a wonderful man Fred Rogers was. He continues to reach children in a warm and loving way through the television show. Hope it stays on forever. It was my favorite when I was little, according to my mom.

I must say, to me, this show should be number one because Mr. Rogers taught me so many things that I use today. I'm only 14 years old, but if the show is still running when I have children, you can guess what they will be watching. What makes Mr. Rogers's Neighborhood different from other shows is that Fred Rogers discussed situations from different points of view(the good and the bad).

I cannot believe people can be so backstabbing! I used to watch this show over Sesame Street when i was a kid. This show drew me in because it can be imaginary and creative. Kids need this show in life today. Great show for kids. People who dont like him are probably unhappy in their lives.

Another excellent, classic tv show for kids. For 1970 and even 1980 this show would get 5 Stars however now a days, LazyTown tops this one.

Sorry PBeavr, I usually agree with just about everything that you have to comment on. I grew up watching this show. You are right it is not that educational, but not EVERY kid show HAS to be educational... for kids it was just down right entertaining. Kids deserve to be able to watch a show that entertains them, without it being educational.

I grew up watching Mister Rogers. I'm 14 years old and I still enjoy watching his show. I cried when he passed away because he taught me so many things that I still use today. He touched the lives of so many people. God blessed America with his talent and virtue.

I always loved this show. Looking back, though, I wondered why this guy saw fit to get dressed in front of an audience of 20 million 5 year olds.

One of the true icons of children's television. A simple man with a touch of genius.

Creepy. This guy always looked like a rump ranger to me. Wouldn't you like to be my neighbour? Only if I can check your freezer for body parts.
