Tue Feb 26 2008I built my pool 10 years ago and had the same experience. I saw them on the news last night and scratched my head thinking if they do this to everyone how have they managed to remain in business all this time. My money was in escrow as part of a home improvement loan and the owner requested the largest sum up front for which he dug a hole and didn't come back for months. I gave him one or two more checks as required by his contract desperate to get the job done and by the time his last check was due it was less than $2000 and my job was far from finished, I had no equipment (pool pump etc.) so I told him i would pay him when he completed the work, he said he would not step foot on my property without the check. I assumed it was a case of paying Peter to Pay Paul but perhaps it's bigger than that. Fast forward and I have had awful leaks over the years, to which I'm always told the job was built wrong. Funniest part was he had a prospect call me for a recommendation after he (finally... Read more

Tue Dec 18 2007Well its now 12/07 - contract signed 2-06 - David only works from 12-2 every day, who is the owner and the biggest theif and liar - filed a complaint against his contractors license and and am in the process of suing him - he is charged with Grand Theft - gave 3000.00 and never even pulled permits! Refused to call back, got BSO involved - he told me he would give me a refund - then ran and hid - had to re open the case and hopefully he will go to jail for fraud and theft - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THE ARE THEIVES!!!!!

Tue Nov 07 2006having any construction project going on at your home is a streesful situation. i expected the worst and was pleasantly surprised. i chose mirage pools over many others. the salesman was knowledgeable and more impotantly very honest. he did not pressure me into the sale and was strictly above board. he answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. he told me that it would probably take 6 months from contract to completion. other companies told me less but they made me feel uneasy. as it turned out we signed in feb 2006 and were swimming before labor day. i would recommend mirage to one and all.

Mon Jul 17 2006BECAUSE I WAS ON A BUDGET I WENT WITH THE LOWEST PRICE. I WAS SO PLEASENTLY SUPRISED BECAUSE MY POOL IS GEORGEOUS. IT DID TAKE ABOUT 6 MONTHS TO FINISH AND MY SALESMAN(RICHIE) TOLD ME IT WOULD TAKE ABOUT THAT LONG. I'M SO GLAD I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE THE OTHER POOL COMPANIES THAT GAVE ME ESTIMATES MISLEAD ME AND CRITICIZED MIRAGE. THEY ( SUPERIOR) AND (GUARDIAN) NEVER INFORMED ME ABOUT THE HIGH COSTS OF PERMITS IN THE CITY OR ADDITIONAL FEES FOR A SPECIAL EQUIPMENT THAT WAS NEEDED. GREAT POOL FOR THE $$$$$.

Thu Apr 06 2006We signed a contract with this company in March of 2005. They started digging in June. It's now April 2006. still no water in the pool. They broke a lot of our plumbing they scratch my neighbors house and broke the pavers in their driveway. The only time they'll talk to you is when you have to make payments. When I ask to speak to someone who knows when my pool is going to be done, they will hang up the phone on you. A house in my community signed her contract in March of 2005 also and she still don't have water neither. My coworker had it done with this company and his pool didn't get finished until 14 months later. POOR QUALITY< POOR SERVICE> NEVER AGAIN.

Tue Jan 31 2006Signed contract on May 2005, still waiting for my pool (Feb. 2006). What they offer you in their ads is not what you receive. Lack of quality and management is their first option. You only hear lies and they blame everyone else on their mistakes. I wish I had review this company before signing with them because I would find out that I am not the only one who does not recommend this "company". For what you get they should not charge you for the pool!!!!, this is my worst nightmare.

Sun Jan 01 2006Horrible pool company. They were a disaster. Never use Mirage Pools. Everything they did was wrong. Pool has taken over a year and still not done.

Tue Oct 18 2005The only good thing about this company was their salesman (no longer works there) and some of their subs. Contract signed a year ago, pool finished 4 months late. Failed first inspection NINE times! When you call to complain they make it obvious they don't care. Switch you from one family member to another - they all tell the same lies. When your pool is done and things start to go wrong they try and tell you nothing is wrong. It's a stall tactic cuz they are free and clear after final inspection (fine print in contract) When your pool starts to leak water they don't call you back. They were inexpensive and you get what you pay for. Do not ever agree to give them all their money before your final inspection..in fact, go to another company and pay a little more. These are disinenguous people to deal with.

Sat Sep 17 20053 months later, I have nothing but a hold in my backyard. It has erroded beneath my back porch, and the inspection failed because they have to get a structural engineer to inspect the house to determine if it is safe.
