I bought my dress at Alfred Angelo but after reading the horrible reviews on Yelp for the one in Beverly Hills I wasn't willing to take a chance getting my alterations done there. Luckily I found Mina after reading all her great reviews. My first fitting was a brides worst nightmare. Apparently I had gained a pound or two and my dress would not zip up. At this point my wedding was only a month and half away and I began panicking right away. But then we talked about changing the back from a zip up to a lace up in order to give me the extra room. Considering the fact that I was a mess, Mina was extremely kind to even take this job. But thankfully she did. Every fitting from there on out was great. Mina far exceed my expectations!!! I found out about her online & I was gonna go to a regular cleaners & get my wedding gown altered but read so many reviews on how unhappy women were because they were trying to cut corners on their wedding bugdet & how they hate looking at the pictures of them in their gown because they got what they paid for. At first I was intimadated just reading Mina's resume. I mean she alters gowns for Barbars Streisand. Yikes & wow at the same time :) I didn't want this to break my pockets. But Mina was very reasonable & she knows her stuff. From the moment she put her hands on my dress I felt like I was being nipped & tucked from the dress surgeon & that was just our first fitting for her to see what I needed & she didn't even put a neddle in it. I left her palor feeling at ease & stress free. I had a two week turnaround & I now have my dress ready for my big day next month (my fiancee will probably cry when he sees me in it). Mina was recommended to me by a well known fabric store. The minute I stepped in, I knew I was in the right place. She seemed very knowledgeable and easy going. I knew there wouldn't be any thing to worry about. My wedding dress fits me like a glove and I never looked so beautiful in anything. Mina helped me and walked me through the whole thing very peacefully and that's another reason to be thankful. Excellent

Among all the others that provided some services for my wedding, only she could manage to keep my smile for days after each fitting. My wedding dress, the biggest part of my wedding, became the stress free part of it, just because Mina was working on it. It turned out beyond my expectations.

I found Mina on line and I took my wedding dress for an emergency alterations. She was very understanding and the minute that I stepped in her salon I felt safe and calm. Although I did not give her much time, she managed to finish the alterations a week before the wedding so "I did not have to stress for my wedding gown". I felt and looked beautiful in my wedding dress. I also received so many wows and compliments.

This was a very amazing experience for me and my mom. , I was very confused When I called to make an appointment and they told me that I had to confirm my appointment via email. Then I got even more confused when I emailed and they asked me to send pictures of my wedding dress, asked about my budget, wedding date. Now that I realize this simple process made everything else much easier and smoother for me, I am puzzled why no one else does the same thing. I love her modern system that she actually has applied to everything else too. Did I forget to tell about the most important purpose of my visit to "Mina Design and Tailoring"? No one could imagine in million years that my wedding dress would fit me so perfectly and I would look in it so elegant and gregarious. I highly recommended her. just go to her and relax.

Unlike other couple I was very involved in the whole wedding process and preparations...And no I am not gay! I found Mina on line and believe me she was the best contact we ever found. Basically she dressed up every one/all the important ones in our wedding including my bride and me, the groom. We could not be any happier!

Mina is so professional and also a very nice lady. She is very easy to work with. She is extremely detail oriented. I brought my wedding gown to her. The gown was full lace and beading. She did an impeccable job with all the hand detailing that this dress required. She is very patient and she had no problems working around my schedule. I was extremely happy with the dress when I picked it up. It fit perfectly and looked absolutely beautiful when it was finished. I would definitely go back to her and recommend her to everyone as well.

As soon as I met her, all my anxieties were gone. I did not even need to explain what I wanted; she could read my mind much better than I could express myself. Three months later, the WOW factor that I wanted was reached and I could see it in my guests' eyes. My wedding gown looked beyond anyone's expectations.

She was recommenced to me by many. Made an appointment..... took my out of proportion wedding gown there to see if they can do anything about it... loved the way i was treated... loved the suggestions and the way that my dress looked just after she pined it on me.................. but I let my friend who accompanied me decide for me that it was to expensive to pay $450 for my wedding gown alterations and we should go to her seamstress. doing so, i paid even more and not getting fractions of what Mina suggested and was capable doing.

I loved my wedding dress but it definitely didn't fit me well when I bought it--it was too tight through the hips and thighs, too loose on my upper body, and way too long. In the rush of wedding planning, I put off getting alterations leaving me with not much time to get quite a lot done to the dress. A friend recommended Mina highly (and her perfectly-fitted wedding dress was its own recommendation) and sure enough, not only was Mina very sweet and supportive, but we also did four fittings in just about three weeks, each with substantial improvements, to get it *just* right. Best of all she maintained the integrity of the dress (fabric, construction, detail work) while making fairly major changes to the fit. At the wedding, multiple people told me that my dress looked like it had been made for me...and believe me, it did not start out looking that way! Mina took a beautiful dress and made it look beautiful on me. I can't recommend her highly enough.

I don't have the best body and I am still wondering how she managed to make me look so sexy in my wedding gown. The first day we met with her, she set her goal to make me a sexy, elegant, chic, unique wedding gown and she accomplished beyond her goal and our expectations. Highly recommended!

All the other seamstresses and tailors found my wedding gown difficult for them and refused to work on it because of the beads. I loved the dress but I looked 10 ponds heavier in it, who wants that? I also needed a hem. I was very nervous but she was very easy going. No one could tell my dress was altered. What she did an amazing job on my wedding gown. She is an artist not a seamstress.

Although Mina worked only exclusively for some high-end stores and celebrities up to not long ago, I was fortunate enough to find my way to her about in 1994. My mom and I never even though of using some one else ever since.

I still can't believe that they made such an amazing wedding gown for me in such a short notice. I originally ordered a wedding gown on line and when it arrived, I started crying for days .. until a friend recommended this couture seamstress. She was the best recommendation that I've ever got in my life. She saved my life. She is amazingly talented and highly skilled. You do not need to be worried about a thing, because she is a perfectionist.

she is really good. Very talented and creative. a few weeks ago I was able to see a price tag on a little beaded short dress that she was altering for Maxfield. guess? above $13,000. can you believe it? I've been using her for a few years now and I always picked up my dress in much better fit that I expected. She is the best skilled and high-end couture not only in Los Angels, but all around the world. Highly recommended!

I had such a great experience with Mina. I am having a "budget" wedding yet needed high-quality alterations on my silk wedding gown. I was so happy to find Mina, she was able to hem my dress and also alter the top of my dress for a very reasonable price. I trusted her immediately when I met her and she didn't let me down. I highly recommend her.

This tailor manages perfect fit every time and each time without any hassles. What amazes me is the fact that she makes everything seems much easier than what other dressmakers want you to believe. She certainly deserves much more than what she charge.

She is really the best tailor that I have ever known. I am happy that she recently opened to regular Joes like me too. I am very concern that she stops seeing us at some point for some reasons. Like the other day I was there to pick up my cloths. When I got there she was on the phone with someone asking for a quote. From what I heard, was alterations on a wedding gown. At the same time she let me try on my dresses. She is very fast and I had no problem doing that. I heard her many times kindly telling to the woman on the phone that it would be too difficult to give a quote over the phone, specially that she did not have her wedding gown yet and had no idea was needed to be done; yet she kept asking her if it could go over $400.... maybe less maybe more I don't really know, wasn't enough for her. I don't understand why the other tailors can't do the work the way Mina does. She always cut my gowns on me in no time. The hem was always excellently even; never had any problems with any of her works in the last nine years. Last week, in Vegas I decided to wear a dress that I bought there. Needed a hem. It took the woman about 20 minutes to pin and mark, yet when was done it was extremely uneven. I think I have never appreciated enough my tailor until I needed alterations out of town.

She is all one can ask for. I am not gonna go to any other tailor. God bless her; people think I had some plastic surgery done. I know it's the way my cloths fit me now.

It’s time to express my appreciations toward my wonderful tailor. Today when my daughter playfully put my wedding gown on, I realized that what a great work did the dressmaker who made that for me 17 years ago. You would think it was just picked it up from Mina, or any other high-end bridal shops. Seeing me regularly, I am sure she knows how grateful I am. This is for you guys to know what you’re missing. I recommend her to everyone for all kind of custom-made, tailoring, and alterations.

Finlay I took my mother-in-law advice and made an appointment with her tailor. Mina is truly an exceptional tailor. At first I did my best to prove to my mother-in-law that she was wrong about her "wonderful seamstress", but I was the one who had to admit she was wrong. What Mina has done for me in the last two years has exceeded my expectations. I regret that I didn't ask her to make my wedding gown and bridesmaid's dresses.

As a big marketer, my suits are one of the defining characteristics that people notice about me... A bad suit, and BAM, I don't hold immediate authority anymore. Mina is the ONLY one I trust with my $10,000 Custom made suits... She takes a hand-made suit and makes it fit better than even the creator could! She works fast, knows her stuff, and gives 110%. Best of the best... I bet MY reputation on it.

For decades I was following my friends and family to their seamstress/ tailors for my custom-made as well as alterations, and I was never happy with the results. Finally I found Mina on Google. Honestly, I wasn't very optimistic until I met her and let her to start alteration my cloths. Amazing!!! everything fits me the way never did before. They look much more expensive and much classier now. My daughter loves her prom dress that she designed and made for her. Her large studio/ condo its nothing like the old, small. smelly tailor shops with zero privacy that we are use to. It's very clean and privet. I I highly recommend her.

I love her. She is the best. Never says no. Last week, I dropped-off my fabric 9:15 pm on Tuesday and picked-up my beautiful evening gown on Friday morning at 8:30am. She does miracle. I was stunning in it and I didn't have to worry about some one else walking in wearing the same dress. I highly recommend her for all your custom-made and alterations. She is the only one who is good at everything from delicate garments to leathers and furs. Her availability and flexibility is A+++++++++++

And, after using her, I have to agree; She is a miracle worker. I bought a dress for my wife for a charity dinner we were attending, but it was a bit too tight around the sides. The boutique I bought it from immediately suggested that I take it to Mina and gave me her card (which is pretty nice by the way haha). I called her, and even though it was a Sunday, she set up an appointment for a few hours later. My wife and I showed up, and we immediately realized how well known she was: Barbara Streisand's assistant was there picking up what seemed like ten custom made dressers, and Mina was shipping off more clothes to Anita Baker... She was very polite and professional, and it was clear that she knew what she was doing... She called the next day and said that the dress was ready! She went the extra mile: not only did she fix the sides, but she fixed countless other things that she said she noticed needed fixing... and the difference was phenomenal!
