My family and I went to Mimi's tonight for dinner and it was one of the worse experiences I have ever had!...We waited a good 10 minutes before our server which was Katelyn to come and greet us, then it took her forever to bring us our drinks, and during this time we saw her goofing off in the little kitchen space where we saw her acting a fool, over all worst experience ever WE WILL NOT RETURN!!!!!!!!!!!

We went out to celebrate the holidays with thirty of our friends from the Dobson Ranch Retiree's club in Mesa Arizona. The reservation was made two months in advance. The service at the local Mimmi's Cafe was terrible. The food was ok, but the lack of service was the worst we have ever experienced. The tables were never bussed, drink orders were not delivered, included deserts were never offered and most abandoned them in an attempt to get out of the place after two and one half hours of bad service. Sorry I was not witty and amusing, but I will check Rate it all BEFORE we go out the next time.

GREAT FOOD, but the SERVICE IS NOT GREAT. I went to eat around 2, and the kitchen teased me because they brought me the wrong order. My order came after everyone else finished. The waiter also forgot to give back the credit card.

I would like to give Mimi's no stars. The original Mimi's was a much above average chain restaurant. Look at the reviews, the old reviews from 5 years ago are glowing. The current Mimi's (with the Bob Evans food group) is absolutely terrible. Let me count the ways, poor quality rolls, Red bean and sausage soup almost without beans, green salad with slimy moldy greens, tiny piece of stale dry salmon, and on and on. And to top it all off, Country and Western music (loud) in a French themed restaurant in the middle of San Diego. This was at one visit, our last visit. As other reviewers have stated, we used to eat at Mimi's (Mission Valley, CA) a couple of times a month and slowly we have gone there less and less. I have a cast iron stomach and I got terrible indigestion from their French Onion Soup, either poor quality ingredients or not fresh ingredients. Wednesday night was the last night, ever. Mimi's used to be so popular that you always had to wait a little (sometimes a l... Read more

D*AMN you Bob Evans!! Mimi's cafe used to be a favorite and a refreshing change in the mess of chain restaruants that continue to spiral down in quality and service. We have been there countless times 50-60 maybe more. We liked it so much I regularly told people I know they have to try it. The pot roast sandwich, the (original) Quiche was a favorite. Both GONE from the menu. And you couldn't leave the Pan Perdu alone either. Used to be good, now it is not. the entire menu was changed. We noticed within 5 minutes of being there that something had gone horribly wrong. We had hoped that maybe it was one restuarant that was going their own way but no it is all of them. Both menu and service. I supposed wait staff with expereience was too much for Bob Evans to pay for. I am so disgusted by what you have done to this great restaruant I will make sure to tell everyone I know from now on to stay away from Mimi's Cafe. I will never set foot inside that place again. Bob Evans should stick to m... Read more

Bait and switch! Mimi's advertises an assortment of crepes and lists them on the menu. We ordered breakfast crepes on Wednesday morning and were told they were “fresh out, have something else and comeback for crepes on the weekend.” We returned early Sunday morning and uuup, fresh out of crepes again! The management's clear misrepresentation of product availability, lack of integrity and inability to correct the problem belies a bigger problem at this cafe. The switch to eggs Benedict was disappointing (small eggs) and the presentation unimpressive. Fool me once, shame on me; fool me twice shame on you. I'm done fooling with these folks.

I have never posted a review of anything before, including restaurants. But I just have to chime in on this one. The food is consistently horrible. I say consistently because, unfortunately, we've eaten there more than once. We have eaten there probably 4 or 5 times over the past several years, and every time the food has been really, really bad. The last time we ate there (yesterday) I complained afterward to my wife for about half an hour. We only went because they gave our two kids coupons for free kid's meals. The kid's chicken fingers were very bready and greasy and tasted like fish (maybe it was fish?). The roasted turkey my wife and I split was so dry I had to smother it in mayonnaise to keep it from getting stuck in my throat. Needless to say, I told my wife that we are definitely not going back, even if the food is free (I said the same thing last time - but this time I mean it). We went to the location in Aliso Viejo, CA, but I can't imagine the other locations bein... Read more

We ate at the Mimi's in Layton Ut. and it was a disaster from beginning to end. The waiter brought us a bread plate and several small cubes of butter which was ok but he forgot the knives to spread the butter. We started to order and the poor waiter had no idea what he was doing. I ordered a breakfast and he did not know that eggs were cooked several ways. I had to ask him if he wanted to know how I wanted them. After taking the order he had to come back several times because he didn't get the order right. We waited forever to get the meal and when it did come it was not worth the wait. My daughter and I both had pancakes which he brought out without butter on them. At least we now had knives. The pancakes were cold and did not taste right. I was hungry after fighting through my order and having the long wait so I made an attempt at eating them. My daughter took several bites and gave up. My daughter and I were better off than my wife whose meal was never brought out. By this tim... Read more

Mimi's Cafe used to be my favorite restaurant. It was a nice place with a touch of class. The quality of the menus as well as the service were higher - much higher than what they are now. There's a clear decline in today's Mini's Cafe. The reason for this, as I've recently learned, is Mimi's Cafe were purchased by Bob Evan's chain. Bob Evans is a big chain with low-quality food service survived only in the markets where people are not too picky with their foods. In other words, Bob Evans is all about quantity - not quality. It's a company that only cares about profits. It's really unfortunate that Mini's Cafe has lost its original feel and atmosphere due to the greed of the corporate food service giant, Bob Evans. Now, the stuff sold at Mimi's Cafe taste like those at Bob Evans, whose foods I wouldn't even feed my dogs with. Should I say more? I hope all of us who care about food and service quality would boycott Bob Evans' chains to teach them a lesson of humility.

LA QUINTA MIMI'S, 79-765 LA QUINTA, CA. We had reservation's for 5:00pm for 8 guests. We arrived at 5:00, and had to wait for 15 min. so they could setup a table . Once seated our server was prompt in taking our order. we all ordered the DINNER for TWO for $25.99. Water came first with no ice. Starters come they were all good & very fresh & tastey. Two had the salmon ( salmon was freeser burnt & very old fishy tasting), three had the salisbury steak ( meat was fair but the mashed potatoes had hard uncooked lumps in), two had Chicken Piccats chicken this was the best meal we had. I ordered the shrimp ravioli, the revioli,s did not have shrimp on the inside of them, there was only 4 small shrimp atop of 6 ravioli's. the sause was fair. The desserts were fair but nothing to write home about. All in all was at MIMI's twice the other nite THE FIRST & THE LAST TIME.

Thank you very much for your bad service!! After waiting 10 minutes for a table outside even only one of the five was used, we did decide to go to TGI Friday's just across the parking lot, where we got a table within one minute and could enjoy very professional service, excellent and valuable food and did not have to watch staff dragging feet like at Mimi's. This is about Ft. Myers, Florida...

I was hoping for much better at Mimi's in Kissimmee. The service was poor. Our waiter kept forgetting many items we had ordered and was slow in attending our table. He had poor customer handling skills and apparently no manners. He did not introduce himself and gave us the impression he was an airhead. I expect better when I go out and I was disappointed with Mimi's.

I just can’t believe the great service I received at Mimi’s Cafe. My mom had taken myself, my niece and my daughter. The waitress asked us if this was our first time there. We all said no except for my 11 year old niece, we didn’t realize it was her first time there. Anyway, after ordering our meals, the manager brought out these awesome garlic fries on the house because it was my niece’s first time there. It was a wonderful treat in between meals. They were so good. I had a coupon for free desert, which I choose the sampler - received three different deserts. The waitress was so friendly and we had requested boxes for our left overs, she brought the boxes and had nicely hand written on each box our individual meals (usually we just write our initials.) When she brought back the bill, she brought us four huge muffins, one chocolate, blueberry, I can’t remember the other two. We walked out of there with a grocery bag of food. It was awesome - this is the Mimi’s in Hayward Ca I have to g... Read more

Today we had a 7 person business lunch at the Mimi's Cafe in Waldorf. The CEO of our company has asked me to make public the amazing food and great service we recieved during our meeting. The table was ready when we arrived. Our server was Yolande and everything was perfect from start to finish.

Terrible service at their Saratoga, CA Location. Supervisors at the restaurant are incompetent. They were overwhelmed when they had more than an empty house on Mother's Day. Not surprised, they probably don't get much of a crowd on a regular basis

Me and my family visited Mimis cafe in Burligton,NC in the Alamance Crossing Outlet. We have been their twice and the service has been terrible both times. My steak was tough. My husband and daughter ribs was not done. Our server seemed to have to many tables to remember which one had what. When we did get our food to the table it was incorrect and they had to take it back. The MGR. was nice and replaced my husband food and adjusted our bill. However, I was not happy with our food at all!! Most likely we will not be going back their and I will not refer anyone to Mimis.

Took my family (6 total) to the Layton, UT location for dinner the other night. We had never been there and I wanted to try something new. How I wish I hadn't. We went fairly early in the evening so seating wasn't a problem, we got right in. After 10 minutes we were able to place our food orders. Drinks were brought out for the kids (10, 6, 3) and our 3 water arrived (Me, wife, and 12 year old son). We waited patiently for our food, as patiently as hungry kids can wait. I mean I only had to hear "I'm hungry like 3 times" in the 35 minutes it took our food to come out so, it was almost good. Kids meals are nothing spectacular, but is fare that kids like to eat: Mini corn-dogs, chicken fingers, and pizzatillas (which my 10 year old liked). The regular food was less than stellar. My orange roughy came out slightly over cooked and completely unseasoned and the vegetables were ok. My wife's steak was not impressive in any manner and was also not seasoned. My 12 year-old so... i WENT TO MIMI'S IN GREENSBORO/THE SHOPPES AT FRIENDLY UPON A FRIEND'S RECOMMENDATION. I WAS WITH A PARTY OF 8 AND WE'D HAD RESERVATIONS. IT TOOK US 45 MINUTES TO BE SEATED! OUR FOOD CAME OUT COLD AND OVERLY SALTY. THE MOST DISTURBING OCCURRENCE HAPPENED WHEN THE MANAGER, A SHORT CHUBBY FELLOW, ASKED US IF EVERYTHING WAS OK. WE TOLD HIM WHAT ALL HAD HAPPENED AND HE WAS CURT AND RUDE TO US, INSINUATING IT WAS OUR OWN FAULTS! I'VE NEVER BEEN SPOKEN TO AS TERSELY AS THIS LITTLE MAN SPOKE TO ME! WHEN I ASKED THE WAITRESS WHO WAS OVER HIM, SHE REPLIED NO ONE AS HE WAS MANAGING OWNER! IT'S DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE THE MAN WANTS TO SABETAGE HIS ENTIRE LIVELIHOOD BUT THAT'S EXACTLY THE WAY IT APPEARED. I WOULD NOT RECOMMENT MIMI'S AT THE SHOPPES AT FRIENDLY TO ANYONE....UNLESS THEY WANT TO BE INSULTED! EVELYN

Very nice restaurant and great selections. I was not sorry to try their healthy menus and be on a diet. though it was bought by the company that runs Bob Evans, they are still keeping its original format of service and great taste together. I would like to go there again.

This is the best resturant I have ever been to. I now go at least once a week. The service is top notch and the food is even better. And the price is not bad at all.

One of the better places to go if you're going out to eat on a major holiday. Make reservations though. I've had the Easter, Thanksgiving and Mother' Day meals there. The food is fresh and the service is good, even on the holidays.

Wow surprised to see this on the list. My dad took me here, first Sunday after church in Texas, and I thought it was a beautiful restaurant, great staff, the food was really good. So was the coffee, which isn't always dependable in most other places! A bit crowded but like I said it was after church, in Texas. A common site. Most restaurants are crowded at that hour.

I've only been to the Elk Grove, CA location. The food there is just OK, but my veggies have always been undercooked. After already visiting that location several times, I learned of people finding suprises in their food (if you know what I mean).

I loved my low-cal fish plate with a side of sliced tomatoes (which was one of my choices). I was amazed by how many slices there were on my plate! And the fresh steamed broccoli was tender and beautiful. The fish was deliciously mild and cooked just right. I really enjoyed my first meal at this charming restaurant where the wait staff was eager and happy.
