if you're wondering why this place has so many citysearch reviews, its cuz they ask you to review it on your way out=) i was looking to get a really nice bong(something for myself with at least one perc, like a LUX) and first thing when i walked in holly said hi and asked if i needed any help. i said no and i was just looking. well they left me along until i decided i was ready but was so overwhelmed with the selection they had... i told holly i had about 250 to spend and wanted something with a tree perc. she asked if it needed to be 'name brand' i said no and she took me over to look at some glass. she showed me some really nice glass for about HALF of what i was looking to spend. really nice of her to do that. ussally some of these places start you off on high end stuff which is past your budget. to be honest i had my heart said on a LUX mini when i walked in but asked for help anyway to see if something would change my mind. looked at some stuff and ended up getting the LUX m... Mike's Smoke Shop is without a doubt the premier smoke shop in the Hollywood area. The staff at Mike's are the most knowledgeable and helpful individuals one could hope to do business with. Holly, in particular, gave excellent advice and was instrumental in assuring that I chose the correct product for my budget. I would certainly not hesitate to shop at Mike's again - they are the best in the business.

This is the best Smoke Shop in LA, and I have been to several. Here is why: Selection is key for a smoke shop, and Mike's has it all. The famed "Illadelph," which seems to be so hard to find anywhere, including online, is abundant at Mike's. Every company you can imagine, ROOR, HiSi, you name it- each has their own display with pieces of every size and price. Even the non brand name pieces are only the top in quality. A little over a year ago I bought my bong from Mike's, not only is it still in perfect condition and working great, Mike's helped me find all the perfect attachments to make it the absolute best it could be. When I go shopping for a new piece, I want a large selection of the specific type of piece I'm looking to find. Mike's has the largest selection of smoking apparatus (in one location) that I've encountered in over 20 years. I've been to three Dementia's, the Illadelph store, and many others. None compare to Mike's. They have pieces to fit EVERY budget...inexpensive...to super high-end HEADY units by top artists. Simple pieces, complex pieces...vaporizers, hookahs, glass, metal, wood, ceramic...they truly have a piece for every occasion and smoking preference. I'm a bit late on writing this; I visited Mike's Smoke Shop the first week of October. I stopped by Mike's intending to just look around, but one thing led to another and I ended up purchasing a new Hi-Si single u-perc waterpipe. I spent a LONG time looking around and being indecisive and the staff was awesome and super friendly the whole time. I was helped mainly by Abhinav, and he really went out of his way to make my visit a great one. He talked me out of buying a vanilla Illadelph and convinced me to go with the Hi-Si, something I don't regret. He said it was the smoothest piece ever - he was right! Everyone who's used it loves it. I spent more than I wanted to, even after they worked with me on the price, but it's been worth it - I haven't seen these anywhere online and at very few stores. Went to Mike's smoke shop on Sunday and bought myself a vaporizer. This girl Radhika was very helpful and didn't hesitate to open the box to show it to me. She was not pushy at all and convinced me to get the Vapor brothers. Used it immediately and now I am in love with it!!!! Thanks a lot.

What kind of a store won't tell you about a price on the phone?? I called and asked if they had a particular item. He said yes. I said "How much is it?" He said "We don't give prices on the phone." I said, "Well, is it over $60?" He repeated the same mantra. I hung up the phone. This is a REALLY STUPID POLICY.

Staff was very knowledgeable and very Helpful. Owner even came out to discuss my purchase. I cannot recommend enough.

They know their sh*t as others have stated. awesome experience. got a sick deal and walked out with way more than i thought i would. cant say enough great things.. could ramble on and on. don't go anywhere else, you will be missing out! I love the fact that they work with their customers to fit their needs, they have a wide range of items available, the environment is awsome. and everything in between. I drive out from Long Beach to come here. Bought 2 pieces here so far, and both experiences have been surprisingly pleasant, and never once did I feel badgered into buying something I didn't come in there for. .. simple... if you know your sh*t, then this place is like a candy store... and if you're not sure, the knowledgeable staff (Rhadika being one), will present you with options depending on you're budget... Rhadica and Holly were a superhero team of question answerers and product producers. They educated me on what a chubbler was, recommended the best accessories for my piece and offered smiles and service. They also hipped me to Black Myst which I will be visiting soon. Plus my next piece will be bought at Mike's Smoke Shop! G4 knew exactly where it was going when they did their 420 special there! You smoke with Mike or you ain't smokin!

Recently purchased a new piece of art glass. The price was just out of my range, but the staff were very reasonable and I managed ot get a peice I love for a great price! The location is central to the Hollywood experience and the look and feel is friendly and inviting.

I think that this smoke shop is tha best one on tha BLVD. there are so many smoke shops on tha BLVD and they all have an assortment of products but Mikes is focused on smoking accessories and products unlike others. The employees are very knowledgeable and I learn something new everytime I come in to tha shop. Any questions that i have are quickly answered and the place in general has a wonderful vibe!!!! I suggest to anyone in LA and on tha BLVD to come in and enjoy this shop just as much as i do!

i just went to Mike's Pipe Shop and bought myself an iguana pipe. Right when I walked into the place, some greeted me and helped me right out. They made me feel really comfortable and gave excellent service. My business will now stay with them. Thanks Mikes!

This shop may seem small from the outside, but it by far doesn't do it any justice as this is one of the nicest collections as well as the absolute BEST customer service you will come across on Hollywood Blvd. I sincerely recommend this shop to anyone in need of a new piece. Whatever you may be looking for, be it pipe, hookah, bubbler, vape, etc... Mike's Smoke Shop will have something to satisfy any need. Don't be afraid to ask questions either. i bought a pipe and when i got home it was broken . i went and tried to exchange the pipe . they refused i dont recomened this store to anyone........beware

Hello, everyone reading this. I would like to complement "Mike's Smoke Shop" on a job well done. I live in Springfield, Missouri (that is 1621.4 miles from the smoke shops front door). I was looking to buy a Hookah having only smoked from one once before a week prior to calling Mike's. I heard about them from a friend locally that's visited them when he was in California. I called the shop not even knowing what to call the stuff I was looking for and began to talk to Radhika. She made me want to talk more she was so nice and helpful. She never made me feel stupid like I didn't know what I was talking about (even though I didn't). I ended up buying a MYA hookah because that is what my friend has and I liked his. So based off the conversation Radhika and I had, she knew what I was looking for (how many hoses, with or without ball bearing, type of shisha, etc). I just moved out to Hollywood from Texas. I had to go for my job test last week. Went to Mike's after reading their reviews. There was this girl name Radhika who explained me all the steps and what i had to do before my test. This girl knew everything she was talking about. She had patience and answered all my questions. Guess what Radhika, i passed my test.......... Went back to the shop and found out that she doesn't work there anymore. Just wanted to say thanks a lot. Good luck to u wherever u r girl.

If you need a Bubbler a pipe, or a Vaporizer like I did, come here ~ Drove 45 minutes north to get there but I highly recommend. Hopefully Sirini will be working when you go because he was very helpful and knowledgeable . He makes me want to go back next time I am in need. I've always used a bubbler or pipe but just heard about a vaporizer. Sirini (please forgive me if I got that spelling wrong) told me what I needed to know to get started on this new form of smoking (at least new for me) It's only been a couple of days and I think I miss the smoke part of smoking a bubbler a little, but I don't miss the aftersmell and the mess. Vaporizer seems like a cleaner way to smoke. I guess it will less harmful on my lungs and the buzz could be a lil more intense with a vaporizer. I found this shop by accident while walking the blvd on a Friday night. I will be back. They have beautiful art glass pipes and miles of cases full of pipes you can actually use. The store is large, clean and inviting. If you need it you will find it here at a reasonable price. I needed help finding a pipe that could be used by my cousin who is paraplegic and smokes laying down on his side. Because he has to tilt the pipe so far over, water leaks out of the carb hole. This has been a problem longer than the sales clerk (Ashley) has been alive. She knew just what to recommend and the problem is solved.

Due to unfortunate circumstances my water pipe broke. It was a very expensive piece. There weren't any places in Texas to do the repair. I called a couple of shops in Cali, but none of the could repair my ph(x). I was ready to count my losses and buy another pipe. Then, I heard about Mike's smoke shop. Called them up, expecting them not to be of any help, and the guy said he could do it for a reasonable price. I told they guy I was from out of state and he said no problem. He kept me up to date through out the whole process. The pipe was returned to me today and it is better than new. Thats right better than when I bought it. Theses guys really helped me out and I'd recommend them to everyone.

Ever since my doctor recommended me to vaporize instead of smoking, i started researching online about vaporizers, the volcano which seemed to be the right choice is no where to be found, something to do with the U.S customs, so the next best stuff was vapor Brothers, simple yet effective vaporizer, and i think it is locally made. i just got mine from mikes smoke shop in hollywood that too at 2 am, we almost passed this museum as some one rightly called it. They showed me all the other vaporizers they had, but ofcourse no volcano, so i ended up buying the vapor brothers hands free, for 170 dollars after taxes. fired it up as soon as i got home and oh my god ! this stuff rocks, my stuff tastes so good and i am not wasting any product and as the dude workin there said - tastes like burnt popcorn :)

well if you are looking for glass or smoking products of any kind this is the place.i was simply amazed by the range of glass pipes and water pipes and by the way i got a one on one education about glass and roor's from this guy srini whom i have nicknamed the bongologist.amazing customer service and the atmosphere is chill.nobody forces you to buy stuff.i highly recomend this place.

ok i am going to try to post a review for the second time, i came across mikes while i was franctically trying to find a place on the blvd to fix my broken RooR, one week and i had my baby back looking brand spanking new, half the price the other shop quoted me. and thats not all the largest selection of "waterpipes" i have ever seen. before coming here i went to this place on wilcox called hollywood crossroads/junction. what lured me in was this huge sign posted outside"we are glass blowers" , pls dont buy this B.S, these clowns know a little abt glass, the cliam to fix and make glass pieces, but the truth is that they don't. So it was a late night and me and my friends had just flown in from london a few days ago and decided to explore the famous hollywood boulevard. It was around 12:00am and we checked out Mikes Smoke Shop!! There selection is amazing! This is smokers Heaven! Especially there art pieaces and RooR - unbeateble prices, excellent variety and the sales rep know their stuff!! I personally spent $6000 on a custom made pieace one of a kind! I know, a tad bit expensive!! But its been about 2 months since I purchased this pieace! And each time I used it, it just gets better each time! this is the spot for all u RooR lovers, I am from Ohio and am used to head shops being a hole in the wall, and back home ask for a RooR and no one has a clue, but here I saw literally about a 100 of these bad boys. Much said if u ever wanna smoke like a pro get a RooR, u will thank me, and while u are there check out Illadelph and Urban Myth pieces.

So it was late at night and i was freaking out my work had sent me an email to get tested early next morning, as i was being promoted to a manager, so i started to cruize down the blvd to see if any smoke shops were open, first i stumbled on this massive but shady looking joint, the guy down there did not know anything. so i went further and came across Mike's smoke shop, and not only did they have each and every detox in the market the guys knew anything and everything abt this stuff, i ended up getting a brand called Strip this stuff was hardcore, i just found out that i passed my test and to celebrate i am going to treat myself to a badd a@* piece from my new friends at Mike's. You guys saved my life, cheers.

The Shop has an excellent selection of hand pipes, beautiful glass water pipes. and excellent service by their friendly staff. Highly recommend this shop. vast knowledge of their products. good luck you guys.
