So Murdock is on Daystar's "Rip-Off-A-Thon." Send in a monthly "seed" of $58 and "God" will insure that you KEEP YOUR JOB. Goddamn I despise this fucker....taking advantage of the least fortunate, the poorest, the most desperate, and the most gullible. Times like these I wish a place called Hell actually exists so people like Murdock would roast forever on a spit over a blazing fire. Fuck you, Murdock. It's interesting that this con man is always talking about how people have given him money, jewelry and cars...but he never mentions giving anything away to the poor/needy....you know, like Jesus might have done. If you're looking to prove the NON-EXISTENCE of God, consider the following quote, which Murdock repeats virtually every broadcast: ”Holy Spirit, I’ve told your people what you told me to say. If what I’m teaching about sowing and reaping is just about Mike Murdock’s personal gain, may a curse be on me and my ministry and may my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth…..” ... Read more

He said he is not selling blessings but makes a promise that if you send in a certain dollar amount to his Ministry or a Ministry he is promoting the Lord will bless you and may bless you with triple the amount. Now you be the judge if that is buying a blessing.

Mike this sowing seeds works so well! Send me a million dollars and you will receive 100 million dollars!!But that would not work for me. Well try the 58.00. I have a large family about 100 send me 100 times 58.00 and I'll see that they get it. Just think about all the blessing you will receive,if it works going to you it has got to work coming to me. I will read some scripture Sense I have not written a book I'll try to find some scripture for doctrine. If I do not find doctrine to validate the "Sowing Seed doctrine".Then the Bible labels "YOU" a false teacher!!! If it does not work for all then you must be a false teacher!!

He's proof that Christians find it hard to appreciate God's free gift of sending us Jesus. Apparently there is a need for this kind of teaching. Pay, Pay and Pay up. I thought Jesus said freely give because freely you have received? I can't seem to find the verse where Jesus said pay up or else! No thank U!

Galatians 2:16 -yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified. Being generous and giving with wisdom is not a bad thing. Selling the free gifts of God is a bad thing! Teachings that people have to pay God money for his favor is wrong. This slanders the good character of God and denies the payment Jesus made for people to receive God's daily gift of grace. He talks about getting rich by tithing. Old Testament tithing was food not money. I would be more than happy to send Mike Murdock all of my can goods in staying true to what the tithe really was. Will this get him to pray to God for me to get a blessing for sending in my can goods?

This man teaches on the law of this and the law of that. Where the hell does it say there is a law for everything under the sun? He said the law of honor is to respect others. I thought it was commonsense, not a law that can get you arrested for breaking. It's more in line with what you would call principles for living. He finds a bible verse to throw into it which makes it kind of interesting. It's not what I would call the Gospel but it's interesting enough to be entertaining. He sure has a way with words. I'll give him that much.

This is a CON MAN. Pure and simple. And in his little black heart, he knows it. I don't know how he sleeps at night. Instead of preaching the gospel of salvation, he preaches the gospel of wealth and prosperity. That is the only thing I have ever heard him talk about. He should be ashamed of himself. One day, he will pay the price.

I spent 3 years behind the veil. I know the true man. What you see on camera or in his church building is not the real him! When the cameras go off and he gets behind his private doors he is very aggressive and angry. He yells at people for making him look back in front of the world. How could we embarrass him like that? Up until a year ago most of his employees were required to claim they were 1099 independent contractors. When several of the employees stood together, and said this was against the law, most of them were no longer needed. He would through daily tantrums. He entered my work space one day yelling about holes in the wall from picture hooks. Then proceeds to yell at me for working in those conditions and says “Who are you and what are you doing here?” He claims to know everything that goes on in “HIS” ministry until something goes all wrong then it is some assistant fault. Well which is it??? Are you deceived by your employees or are you in control???? You cannot have ... Read more

I wish people would just leave him alone. For those of you who cut him to pieces, do you know him personally??? Do you sit with him every night talking to him? Can you read his mind and his every inner thought??? No, you can not. I'm not saying for sure the guy is good, but so many go on and on about what an evil man he is and so forth. That is an assumption you are making. I'm not saying you can not form an opinion, but there is an appropriate way of doing so. You do not know FOR SURE 100% this man is the devil. For those against him let me ask you something. What about all the people he has helped in his career??? Not too many mention that. Does that mean nothing? His optimism and positive books that have touched the lives of so many? He is making a profit (no matter the amount of that income) and helping millions while doing so. If you had the chance to help millions and make millions at the same time honestly would you?

He is a great Motivational Leader and helps hundreds of people stay positive and hopeful. He gives away most of his money to Christian Charities and Missions. He Ministry is always open to Audits by the IRS His background is from nothing to something. There are 2 sides of the story. The lie and the truth! Leave this man alone until you know what you are talking about. He is the most generous man there is. He gave away so much money to build houses for the poor & to build hospitals in poor countries!

Yes, I've watched his programs. I've read all of the 44 reviews that preceeded my comments here. I agree he separates money from folks, and I understand from a variety of sources that he misdirects his receipts for his own use rather that for the benefit of those in the world most needy. I recognize that many of the commenters before, are fast to label him with many nasty, emotion laden names of labels, and respect that it more efficiently conveys their evaluation of him and his actions, HOWEVER, I think name-calling fairly quickly denegrates the "credibility of the wittness" so-to-speak, but somehow misses the concept of careful and considered evaluation of the situation. first you might choose to GOOGLE the "selling of indulgences" something explained by wiki-pedia and mentions the catholic church was doing extensively and "(Martin Luther denounced the selling of them in 1517 (By the catholic church)while igniting the (entire ) Protestant Reformation)" then (again by wiki)"You ca... He rakes in the money and can sell water in the dry desert to silly folks. He should get a prize on his elegance at getting gullible people to open their wallets and give their last dime. If his God makes you pay for your answer to prayers then who needs it? This is not like the God of the New Testament anyway. Fact is I never read where Jesus made anyone buy a miracle or healing. I checked and he never charged anyone for a miracle. Mike Murdock should be a used Car Salesman. He even looks shady, like he can't be trusted! He preaches another Gospel, the Gospel of get rich off of poor, desperate people that want to believe that they can pay him to get God to make them rich! Some people will believe anything but the truth! He stretches Bible Verses w-a-y out of proportion and it sounds great if you don't know any better. I don't think Jesus would charge money for an answer to pray and I don't care if Murdock, the Pope or all the Television Evangelist in the world believes anyth... Read more

One of the many marketeers making merchandise of God's people. He, (like many others), laces his message with truth to draw you in. Part-truth can be more deceptive than an outright lie. He misuses scripture and misrepresents God's heart and nature telling the people that God is waiting for them to release their money out of their hand so that He can release His abundance and blessings into their hand. And, of course, you will be releasing your money right into this shyster's bank account. And then, at the end of the show, he tells the people that even though they may be in credit card debt, they should use their credit card rather than a check to "get their seed in the ground quicker". "The quicker you sow the quicker the return" he says. What a crock! If God is waiting for you to release your money so He can release His blessing (as they claim) what matter is it to Him whether it's by check or credit card? Besides, a check means it's money you do have. This creep wants money you don... Read more

Robb Thompson in Tinley Park, IL always had Mike Murdock over. MM claims to have written thousands of songs, but only sang one song every year until the last time I saw him there. Bragged about all of his possesions. He ALWAYS ended his time the same way, everyone hold up their wallet or purse so God will bless it, quick prayer, microphone to Robb Thompson & collection. Wow, collection time & here is my wallet out. Like the 1-2 punch. Last time I had my wallet out & promptly put it back into my pocket...I give to other trustworthy ministries & to my home church, not to those guys. Many of his stories seem to me to be made up.....Scarey....Find a different ministry to be involved with...God bless you...

If it were not for Benny Hinn (because he takes advantage of sick people) If it's a wonder who swallows the garbage Murdock, it's mostly elderly people, but for the most part it's people who mentally are weak, which mostly means elderly people, people who are easily manipulated, Both Hinn and Murdock must be reprobates, how else can anyone refuse to listen to the Holy Spirit (and I know the Holy Spirit is faithful) continue to deceive. Murdock and Hinn also have a common arrogance in the way they demand, they don't ask, they don't beg, they demand and threaten that people give all they have. I know God is faithful and they will of course be judged, and I'd rather be almost anyone on Judgement day Can anyone think of a way to get the word out on these crooks? few if anyone who are victims are computer users an alarming trend I've noticed lately is that many other ministries have invited Murdock on their show because of his ability to raise money. Saw "Money" Murdock on INSP's Camp Meeting the other night when I could not sleep.  He was giving his "testimony" that he states he rarely gives, only when God tells him that it is permissible.  He was talking about the beauty of a $100 bill.  Said he had been to this and that place (exotic places, I don't remember all of them he talked about) and had seen beautiful women and other beautiful things.  Yet nothing was as beautiful as a $100 bill!  Yes, he said this over and over.  Even placed his hand up as if he was holding one.  Kept saying, $100 bill, $100 bill, how beautiful.  This charlatan has no soul, to stand up before a lost and dying world and brag about his possessions and wealth.  He tells his followers to brag as he does if they come into the same wealth as he does.  Stated God told him that He wanted 300 millionaires for the sake of the Gospel!  Sake of the gospel?!?!  How in the world does making millionaires benefit the gospel?  Of course Murdock never told how this would... Murdock likes to describe himself as a "Wal-Mart guy." But a $25,000 Rolex adorns his wrist. And he can shoot hoops on the "NBA-style" basketball court at his estate or take notes with a $4,500 fountain pen. Details of Murdock's lifestyle were pieced together from documents obtained by the Trinity Foundation, a televangelist watchdog group in Dallas; Denton County property-appraisal records; a report of a burglary at his home; interviews; and excerpts from his broadcasts and books. They show a man living a Hollywood lifestyle. Murdock says he drives a BMW 745, which typically sells for $69,000 to $75,000. He used to prefer driving a Porsche to the ministry. He has had at his disposal a ministry Corvette, Jaguar and Mercedes, Lincoln Continentals and, since August, a corporate jet valued at $300,000 to $500,000. Murdock lives in a Spanish-style, 3,177-square-foot adobe house that he calls Hacienda de Paz or "House of Peace." He, not the ministry, owns it. Also on the grounds is a 1,660-... Read more

This week, the INSP network is having its TBN equivalent of the beg-a-thon, they call it "Campmeeting," and here is its premeire spokesman and money-maker. Saw him boasting about how big his house is and how he loves to make his "enemies(Those who oppose his false teachings)" jealous of it. He loves for people to "sow seeds" of $1,000, even more. "Release what's in your hand, and God will relese what's in his hand." Shameful, and yet, he and all other false teachers only get rich because gullible Christians are too blind to tell that their being fleeced.

I think Illusionbuster said it best about the charismatic movement and the appeal of people like Murdock and his ilk. Charismania is so emotional, and it's so easy to appeal to those emotions. A preacher can stand in a pulpit and say "Yabba Dabba Doo" and as long as he has an organ accompanying him, and he mixes in a few "Ha's", people will go into a frenzy. It sounds so good to hear that God wants you to prosper and never get sick, it sounds so good to hear that if you just give a little more, if you just believe a little more, then you'll get that much-awaited financial blessing or physical healing. I can only sit and listen to Murdock for a few seconds. He is a straight up heretic, who's main goal is to separate people from their money. I once heard him say "Until you relase what's in your hand(Money), God will not release what's in HIS hand(FInancial blessings). Obviously, Murdock and every other prosperity pimp who tries to make people give them their money in exchange for God's b... Read more

This guy is slick and shameless in exploiting the unwary ,he probably fools a lot of charismatic types since he knows how to appeal to them. Murdock is one greedy person feeding off of other peoples personal greed, ambitions, hopes or serious deep needs such as a severe illness or loss love one etc., most people who follow him probably haven't the slightest idea what's going on. The charismatic movement has so many of these money greedy phony types on TV I am sure they have done tremendous harm to the cause of Christ. It wil be just about impossible to undo the horrible damage TBN and Day Star has done in the world. I really don't blame people for not wanting to be a Christian after seeing so much of this garbage on TV. for more information on Mike Murdock click on these links: http://www.letusreason.org/Popteac19.htm http://www.trinityfi.org/press/murdock01.html http://www.trinityfi.org/press/murdock02.html http://www.trinityfi.org/press/murdock03.html
